Yay!Im a fan of this place. It is very difficult to find good veg food biryani options and finally found this place who serve delicious biryanis and that too have many varieties. Have also tried other food dishes like dosa , utappam , malai kofta curry, paneer butter masala curry , Garlic Naan - Hot, delish, and great flavor. For me and my friends this is almost our weekend food hub place :) Cost and portions - Fairly reasonable and affordable , also portions are huge. Spice level - They make as what we say them from scale 1-5, sometimes we do find medium level is bit still mild for us. For Dine in - its a good atmosphere , clean and hygienic place. Take away - not long wait but on weekends they seem busy so prefer ordering early . Staff- As my family and I are regular to this place from the time it was started around 6 months ago and initially we did felt that the staff service was bit laid back so we use to prefer having take away orders. But those days are changed as in recent my colleague and I went to have a quick lunch , and we were promptly greeted and seated and most important for a business to run successful is to listen what customer asks or requests and attend them with a smile on face... To my surprise my colleague who was not Indian was a great fan of this place and also knew chef -Vignesh aka Vickey who especially came to attend us and offered his special dish of the day chicken curry which was so different and delicious in taste that my american friend was just not stopping praising him.As its said that "the chef who pursue great flavor have good ethics" and he is definitely one of them. Also positive point is they arent overly oily like most Indian places and its a good sign . I think I may have found a place whenever I have a craving for Indian food!!! Overall, if youre in the area, I would recommend coming here for a good sit down meal or a quality dinner for at home. Good job guys! Delete review

I think Id have to change my opinion after having bitter experiences for 3 times. Its just been a week since theyve opened and Ive already been there thrice because that is how much I love authentic Biryani. Firstly, their biryani is not authentic. It is just biryani and I am sorry for my other friends who think this is Hyderabadi Biryani. I have eaten at other Bawarchi restaurants (and loved the biryani) in the United States and the Jacksonville one is by far the worst. The first time I placed an order over phone, they gave me the boneless chicken biryani instead of the chicken biryani that I ordered. The second time I placed an order online and paid for it, I was told the mango Lassi was over and they gave me two cans of soda. When I refused to take the soda and asked for a refund, they said they cant refund since its an online order. I think they just didnt know how to do it. I didnt have the patience to argue with them. I wanted to give them one last chance and ordered a boneless chicken biryani last night - it was stale for sure, it had a lot of masala ( I hadnt asked for spicy biryani) and was completely taste less. Upon giving them all the chances one can, Ive decided to never visit them. I wonder how their quality would deteriorate with time, given the poor standards in quality within a week of opening! All the waiting for this place to open up is just useless I think! I havent dined in with them but from reviews that Ive heard from my friends and the reviews Im seeing here on Google, it isnt a great place to dine in either. Please do not waste your time by going here if youre just wanting some hyderabadi biryani.

Seated quick. Order was taken quick. But the food never arrived. asked for a veg biryani and after 25 mins, i get a chicken biryani. During those 25 mins i waited, multiple people came asking if i have ordered, if i got my food but the food never came. After dining, i dint want to waste time again waiting for bill, so went to the desk to pay. They charged me for chicken biryani. I pointed that out. They dint want to change the payment so gave me the difference i.e. $2. Then i go home to see the schoker on the bill, 18% gratuity is added for a single person. I think they added it since i was paying at the desk instead of paying at the table. I called and ask to waive it off. Need to see if that gets updated on my statement. Management is the same as that of the previous restaurant in that very same place. No difference at all, just the name change. More people managing, less people actually working on the ground. Seemed similar to a start up trying to prove a point instead of focusing on the job. I beleived Bawarchi is a brand with multiple franchises. Never got the feeling here though. I have been to bawarchi in Jersey City, NJ many times. I wonder if this is the same bawarchi as that. Recommend a no go for now at least.

We had a very good experience at Bawarchi Biryani in Jacksonville today, this restaurant used to be called "Flavors" and has obviously gone through a name change and become a recognized Indian franchise. The entire experience from start to finish was good, the order was taken professionally and repeated for accuracy. Our server Rishi was attentive and visited routinely to ensure everything was properly served and we were satisfied. The food itself was well presented, good, warm and well cooked. I can understand that during the soft opening there may have been some issues here but the owner is an experienced restaurateur and Im sure he will have everything clicking soon (every business has some growing pains at the beginning). There are some aesthetics of the restaurant that still need improvement (e.g. restrooms) but overall this is a good addition to the limited Indian choices available in Jacksonville.

First experience was a take out, which took more than 30 mins and quantity was not enough. Today we five went for lunch today. It was too much crowded, but we still waited since of one my colleague was new here. After we get our table, no one even serve water. Waiter was in a hurry to take the order. When the order came they didnt even tell the name of the dishes, you have to guess your own. Also they didnt provide any serving plates before. Once serving plate came, there was no cutlery, we have to ask for it. They served water after we ask for it too. Food was also not that good especially paneer tikka masala, horrible taste. Wont visit again. I dont think with such level of service they will survive. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Edit: Forget to mention, they will ask you write good reviews.

I am vegetarian (not even egg) and we got non-veg food after ordering vegetarian one. If we had a different skin color then believe me, this place would be going to face some serious troubles. The staff is new and they really dont have any idea to handle the crowd. They lack the basics like repeating the order after taking it and mentioning name of the dish while serving. Also they should provide plates before asking and before serving the food. Overall very bad experience. So if you are okay to eat beef/pork after ordering something else then you are good to go. Else wait for 4-5 months so that staff gains some experience.
