I used to go here regularly to this place back when I was in college, never had a problem until two months ago when my bill from my online banking statement that originally posted 28.65 (which includes the tip I wrote) shot up to 280.65. I never order anything more than one or two dishes and a drink....ever. So even with my history with this restaurant my bank saw the transaction and was thinking WTF. Damn, but most likely they said they probably cannot do anything about it either since its unlikely the restaurant would keep a copy of the receipts. AND since I used a debit card and since I didnt keep my receipt for long to have proof, Im screwed over INSANELY. Still to this day, I do not know WHAT went on, but NEVER going back there again. So a warning to those who go, you may not want to use your card at this place.

This restaurant serves excellent north indian food. I have been there quite few times both for their lunch buffet and dinner. The quality of food is by far the best that I have had in Cleveland and approaches home cooked food with fresh ingredients. The quality of their meats is also far superior to that served in other restaurants. Their buffet dishes vary each day and they even serve dishes which are not on their main menu. Some of my favorites on their menu are chicken 65, alu tikki chaat, vegetable korma, bhindi masala. Have tried their goat vindaloo. The meat was very tender and it tasted very good but had less meat than what one may find in other restaurants, which I didnt mind. Their staff have been always friendly and courteous. All in all will not hesitate to go there again.

I have ordered food twice from Indian Flame and while I have been impressed by the quality of the entrees (Mango Chicken & Chicken Tikka Masala), I have been apalled at the guest service and blatent rudeness of the employees. I live near the restaurant and called to place an order for delivery as the take-out menu states that free delivery is available for orders above $20. The employee accepting my call took my address and then asked if I could come pick up the order since I live so close to the restaurant. While picking up another order for take-out the same female employee was extremely rude and refused to provide me with an itemized receipt for my order.

Went for dinner.....a lady on phone sitting way back greeted us & then asked for how many person in sign language !!! She was on phone continuously.....Glad she took our order but the way she served us was really annoying with no minimum courtesy or smile as if she was doing a big favour !!!!! the only good thing was food.... fresh & spicy, masala tea was awesome !!!! If you can ignore service and atmosphere......go for food. Avoid taking family may be good for campus students but not for us !!!! Dont add tip if you are using coupon as it is already added by them in final bill......Indian mentality sucks !!!!!

The building itself is pretty small and can be a little noisy, but its not to the point where it is uncomfortable. The decor is very Indian and only adds to the experience. The service varies depending on how busy they are. Sometimes it can take a while, so if you go when youre already hungry you may end up REALLY hungry before you get your food. But the service staff is friendly and always willing to offer a suggestion if you ask. The food is the reason I keep coming back! Excellent naan and vegetarian options. Definitely the best Indian food in Cleveland. Excellent!

I took my mom to lunch for the buffet on 10/15/10. We both were underwhelmed. The food looked wonderful, yet had a certain "cheap" taste about it. While I do like salt in my food, I found most of the dishes at the buffet to be overly salty. The tandoori chicken also seemed to be more like an APPROXIMATION of tandoori chicken. It had a sweet glaze and flavor to it. I would stop here only if you are far from another Indian buffet and you HAVE to have Indian food. Please note, we ONLY had the lunch buffet and NOT dinner so I can not comment on the dinner food.

I ordered Bhindi Masala and Malai Kofta with naan today ( June 2015) and the food was filled with flavor and freshness. Its the best Indian food I have eaten in the NE Ohio area. I have also had my food delivered a few times as I live close to the restaurant. The delivery person has always been on time and has been very humble and friendly even when I was short of tip money. I would definitely recommend this restaurant very highly!!! This restaurant delivers value and Im happy to introduce my friends and family to this place.

We have been eating at Indian Flame (and getting take out) since shortly after they opened. I am mystified by the negative reviews. It may be the best Indian food in Cleveland - tasty, fresh, and reliable. The curries and other sauces are chunky and never quite the same as the last time - evidence that they make their dishes from scratch each time. The wait between ordering and serving can be long, but again this is sign that the food is made to order. The korma is among the best Ive tasted anywhere in the country.

Server wasnt exactly stellar by any stretch of the imagination, language barrier could have played some part so I cant and wont judge harshly, however the food was fire for sure. I highly recommend giving it a try or two. My party & I were rather overly nourished when we had arrived so I ended up eating my meal mostly in leftover form the following day at work & seriously I wish I had something that delicious every shift. Get it, get it! Very excited to try the lunch buffet at my earliest convenience.

I went here last week and was impressed. I ordered Chicken Korma and he ordered a mixed grill, both of which were flavorful and had meats which were not overcooked, as has been the case with other small Indian restaurants we have tried. The service was just slightly slow, but we went on a slow day and there were only two servers. The staff was incredibly warm and friendly. It was a great experience and a wonderful meal!

The Indian Flame has a quality buffet at a pretty good price. There isnt too much variety, but at least that means its all fresh and tasty. I wasnt really disappointed by any of the foods in the buffet which is rare. They all tasted Other than Little Italy, this is definitely one of the best places to eat on campus. If you havent been here, come! It is one of the best places to eat on campus.

I love Indian food, but the food here was nothing special. I was not given silverware. I ordered a diet coke and it was horrible so I exchanged it for a Sprite and it was horrible too! I ended up just drinking water. There is only one single bathroom that everyone has to use (men and women) and the lock doesnt even work so everyone ends up walking into other peoples business. Never going back.

One of my friends introduced us to this place soon after it opened and we have gone there innumerable times since then! Love the food; great value for your hard earned money when you do their lunch buffet. Enough choices for vegeterians and carnivores alike. Its not a fancy place but serves nearly authentic Indian food! They usually have kheer for dessert and Im not complaining :)
