My boyfriend and I went there after we bought a $20 voucher for $12 on Groupon because it sound fun that you have to pay only $12 for the $20 voucher. Dont you think so too? We tried to look up the menu online before we go there but we couldnt find it. We didnt expect that that place will be that pricey! As we walk into the restaurant, it was so empty that were the only guest. The place is tiny and the atmosphere wasnt that great either (in my opinion). One plate of Nasi Brayani cost $19.99 , one plate of Bombay almoo or (something like that ) cost 14.99 and a cup of Indian milk tea cost 4.99("surprisingly ") The taste was So So. We "must" order two entrees and two drink just because were using the voucher. So we just ordered and ate those even were not really happy about the price. We had tried our best to enjoy the meal. The worst part come when we ask for the check. We had to pay 7% tax for the food which is acceptable and extra 5% tax for using the credit card (they should have mention earlier). Plus they automatically charged 20% for service charge.( it was written in the very bottom part of the menu which is not easy to see) We can understand that restaurant are charging the guest because they have them "awesome service ". Do we get the service worth for 20%? I dont think so !! The total bills cost $60.69 for two people. Wed been to many other places but this is the only place that charge too much for the small amount of food. I feel that that place is basically rip off! We just wanted to let all the other people know about all the funny rules and regulations from their place and we just wanted to share the bad experienced that we had on Apna Taste of Punjab Restaurant!

My wife called to place an order and the gentleman on the phone was extremely rude to her. First of all, the gentleman sounded asleep or high when he answered the phone, he said hello in a confused or inhospitable way and my wife had to ask if was calling the correct location. As she proceeded to place the order, he rudely stated he did not have time to answer the phone. Finally, he proceeded to lie to her by saying that they were not open for business even though all websites and online services stated the restaurant was open. He then hung up on her without waiting for a response. I then called the restaurant again in order to speak with a manager. The same inhospitable gentleman answerred the phone and again, just was unwelcoming. Upon asking to speak with a manager he said that he was the manager, so I asked to speak with someone else. He then hung up the phone again. This is absolutely unacceptable in the HOSPITALITY industry. Though both my wife and I enjoyed the food we had on previous occasions, we will never spend our time or money in an establishment that employs such rude individuals. Other businesses with better service are in competition.

We had a wonderful lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. A relaxed atmosphere. Located just off 192 on the way towards Disney. The food was great, and the service excellent. We asked for palak in our vegatable pakora and they turned out wonderful - the best pakora we have ever had. The chicken tiki masala was my favorite - and unlike many indian places up north it came with green peppers and onions by default. Had the medium spicy and it was most agreeable - curious to try the hot next time! The paneer tasted great and paired well with their delicious mango lassi. The staff (owners we think) were very friendly - they overheard us discussing the plethora of problems we were having with our rental home, and did their best to help us contact the unresponsive management company. In the end, shine did not answer their calls either - but they made us feel welcome and even pointed us at a better vacation home company.

Very expensive food yet snack size quantity, just brought to your table in a rude manner by shabilly dressed unclean servers. You serve it yourself yet they force charge about 20% service charge. They also charge tax but do not want to give you proper invoice bearing their business name. If you get sick by their food no way to prove you ate there. When insisting for invoice as proof we ate there they called police. However police were on our side who forced them to gave us invoice as we wanted. You can understand why the so not want to give you official invoice even when they force you to pay tax. Never support such businesses who cannot be brought to justice for their wrong doings and cannot be dragged to legal action because of lack of official invoice.

Im rating this based on the food and the price because I dont care about the service especially if Im ordering out. 1st Their prices are way too high, I ended up paying like 30 bucks for one person. 2nd Their food was delicious and their rice was one of the best Ive had in a long time 3rd Do not order a soda from them, what I got was a cup of ice (full cup of ice) with a watered down Mtn Dew in there for over 3 dollars for a small styrofoam cup. So I would love to give it a higher rating but I know that I cant. Once the prices lower and you get a better soda machine Id be willing to go up to 4 stars.

Just went there by mistake without reading the reviews. Big mistake. Food was bland. Just microwave food. Very high prices and no flavor. They add 20% service fee for all orders plus tax and they claim they have this printed in the menu - which they do. Food and service is not worth the money and spoils your vacation mood. Even a fast food sandwich from McDonalds or Burger King would be better. The lady claims she is just a worker and said I could complain to the manager who did not come out. Not even worth a one star. DO NOT IGNORE these 1 star reviews. Avoid this place !!!!

This restaurant is a complete ripoff. We ordered two butter chicken and two chicken korma and paid EIGHTY TWO dollars. Hoping that the food was worth it, we took the food home and found out that it wasnt. I guess they justify their pricing by pointing to the serving size, and they increase the serving size by adding water. The chicken korma was watery, and so was the sad imitation of butter chicken (curry with red coloring). I had to drink away my shame for buying this food. Absolutely would not recommend.

RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED. Its your basic strip mall joint, all the way down to the tubular metal tables & chairs. The place was stuffy (turn on the A/C!). The mains were all in the $20 range. Thats crazy enough in this hole in the wall, but the prices on the starters and the sides were even more silly. The drinks dont even come with refills! I guess they survive on a fresh crop of tourists each day, because no one would ever go back...

Left fat and happy! Lots of vegetarian options. My mom got the Indian tea and it was awesome! It tasted like licorice. The food was good. The mild on some dishes was spicer than the medium on others but it was all very good. The staff was good also. The restaurant is only 3 weeks old. It was clean and small but not cramped. Would definitely return and recommend to someone else
