NEW OWNERS AND VERY, VERY GOOD FOOD! Havent been to this restaurant in awhile. Food was going down hill, chefs were changing but long term wait staff were terrific. Anyways, upon entry noticed old staff was gone (sadly) but gave it a try. My wife had a veggue omlette and I just had eggs over easy and home fries. My wifes omlette was full of veggies and delicious. Best I have had around area in as long time! My eggs and home fries were done oerfectly but our bagels were a lil flat, but good, which made us wonder but didnt say anything. As we were paying the bill, we met the cook who was also the new owner (within past 4 days). He wanted us to take a bunch of bagels home which we were a lil hesitant at first but then agreed. Without us saying anything, new owner said his bagels were just not right and that the existing ovens were having fluctuating temperatures (Being repaired) causing his issues and hoped we would come back. He said that the previous owners let the restaurant go down hill and he is getting things right to make this restaurant great again. He even said that previous owners were even using canned veggies for their omlettes and everything is now being made fresh!!! So if u havent been in awhile, give it a try. Food is much better than all the other bagel type restaurants in the area and new owner has high expectations.

First don’t let the older reviews stop you from giving the Strathmore diner a try. The new owner just purchased the old Strathmore Deli 4 months ago, and has redone everything. The place is squeaky clean, and the food is incredible!!! I had the Pork Chop with mashed potatoes along with awesome Fresh green beans made with onions and mushrooms. My wife had the shirt steak that was super tender and seasoned to perfection. I was taking to the new owner “Manny” about the large portions and he told me that he used to be a manager in charge of setting up the kitchen staff at new Cheese Cake Factory locations, which explains not only the large portions But the great food as well. They are open for Breakfast, lunch and dinner. So give them a try. You’ll be very glad you did.

Was there today - Saturday Jan 30 at 10:30 not busy but apparently had been. Its self seating and all available tables were dirty. We asked for the end window table to be cleaned so we could be seated. The older guy cleaning tables started at the other end after we asked for that table. We asked again and he still continued to clean from the opposing end. 4 tables in between. We left. Rude and not customer service oriented at all. Will not be back.

Wednesday night around 530 place was empty except one couple. Waitress waited untill we were ready to order to say they didnt have a bunch of the dishes. Food took a while to come out its home style cooking. My dish was missing the sauce it was said it had. Waitress hovered or ignored us. And when we were paying we were told next time you come in there is an early bird special from 5-7. This was never mentioned to us prior to paying.

The menu was inaccurate. The waitresses and staff were pleasant. The food was Bland with no taste. Bacon and hash browns greasy. The coffee was okay. Had a waffle that felt like it was sitting out for 2 hours before it was served. Would not recommend to any of my friends or family. This is the third time weve been after it was Under New Management.

Where we come from in NY, great bagels cost no more than $.45 apiece. My wife asked for SIX at Strathmore. When she expressed surprise at the SIX DOLLARS and asked if it might be a mistake, the very gruff response was, "No, thats right. A dollar a a bagel." And they were barely OK--but very thin. Terrible ripoff.

In under new management and the new chef is the bomb!!! They have American and Colombian breakfast. The empanadas and pan de bono are so much different from other bakeries I cannot be explained until you have it yourself. I usually dont give reviews but this place definitely deserves it!! Go check them out!!

Food was ok, Service was horrible, menu wasnt well designed or worded. Staff kept coming up with excuses about how two people could handle 3 tables of 4 people. And they wouldnt take our drink order untill we where ready to order everything!

Under new management and the new owners r wonderful, but the food is even better. They have turned it into a diner and make all the food fresh to order , great salads and skirt steak was delicious so happy with the new restaurant

Not really a great breakfast, grits were gross and hash was not cooked well done as we asked for. Asked for well toasted bagel and toast and we didnt get it. Not sure well return.
