Went for breakfast around 10:30am 7-25-13. We parked in back. when we walked up to the door there was a huge puddle of water from the rains we had earlier, but more importantly an employee standing there smoking by the door. The water was too deep to mess with so we walked around to the front...ANOTHER employee smoking right by the door. Once inside we were greeted fast enough but the guy who sat down after us got his order taken before ours. When the food arrived it tasted like it had been pre-cooked several hours before. (I used to manage and work in kitchens and this food definitely wasnt cooked to order for the most part) Bacon was brown but soft. Obviously nuked to reheat, scrambled eggs were dry, flat, and tasteless, grits overcooked to almost a paste-like consistency. To make it worse and on a health note... the Ketchup in the squeeze bottle tasted rancid. An indicator that it probably had not been rotated OR cleaned out in a while. Finally the "cash only" thing is super lame...they put an ATM in the back of the restaurant ( why? so I can have the honor of paying upwards of 5 dollars in total fees on a 14.00 meal?) It just shows you how much they value their customers business when they dont want to pay a quarter in credit/debit card fees for your patronage and loyalty. OR save you the hassle of having to go to your own bank if you are a first time customer and do not want to use their overpriced ATM. We have been here several times before, and believe in giving a restaurant several chances (we all have bad days) but the issues with the food tasting like it has sat under a heat lamp have not improved. IHOP is better...and thats not saying much at all. We wont be going back.

Kountry Kitchen with Attitude and bad service ! Make sure to bring patience and cash! My gf and I went there on a Sunday around 1030am, they were slightly busy but far from swamped. The host was immediately rude when we asked what the ATM fee ($3 and that charge is set by the establishment so thats a pretty crappy way for them to make extra money off their customers)was being that they choose to take cards. That treatment continued from there as our waitress basically ignored us during the 50 minutes it took for our order. The food was decent ,but far from great and it didnt help that our sides didnt come out for another 10 minutes. No idea how this place is so highly rated, everyone there acted like we were lucky to even be there instead of as customers. Definitely better places to go,will not be going back to Kountry kitchen with attitude!

This place is not all that great. The food is probably better than average, but some of the waitresses, particularly the ones who have worked there for a long time, are not prompt in the treatment of their customer orders. It seems like every third or fourth time I go there, I get a waitress who ignores me and I have to wait several minutes before I get my coffee (even early in the morning). Or, a waitress puts my order into the kitchen late after chatting with friends and acquaintances. When people who arrived later than I did get served before me, I get annoyed. Its not fair. So Ive decided to go elsewhere, Mrs Macs or the grill at Jaycee Park.

The food is absolutely amazing! The prices are very reasonable & the portions quite large. Its always exceptionally clean inside, including the restrooms, the staff is always personable, very knowledgeable & most efficient. The owner seems like a super hard worker, is always present & friendly with the customers, as well as with his staff & he seems happily willing to go out of his way to accommodate you in any way you could possibly need. It always has a comfortable casual, welcoming atmosphere. You will not be disappointed.

Best place...owner Mark is one of the best. Always sit at the counter with Shirley...it is the last of the down home, everybody knows you, feel good places...oh, and the biscuits!!! Warm and friendly...working class and Bridge people...and yes, I wish I would be able to work here....restaurant family is just that family...and the food is priced to fit all budgets...and the cooks work in sync like watching the staff is pleasing..smiling, and then, here comes the killer food...Bam!

The Kountry Kitchen offers gourmet twists on such dishes as grouper (with hollandaise sauce & rice pilaf) and meatloaf. The prices are extremely reasonable for the serving sizes. The wait staff is quick, efficient, and friendly. The place is bustling, or at least it was when I was there on a Friday for lunch, but I certainly did not feel rushed to leave. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting good food, quick service, and no sticker shock when the check arrives.

Breakfast was very crowded. Servers too busy. A different crowd than Bob Evans or IHOP. Seats not comfortable. My guest had eggs Benedict which appeared to be quite good. I had quiche with home fries and fruit. The fruit was good. But the place was casual but not "special". Very slow on coffee refill and did not bring the Splenda we asked for. Came back in March for a late lunch. Not crowded. Great prices. Much better service. Liver and onions a bit thin and dry.

I absolutely love this vintage breakfast and lunch place. It is cash only just to let you know. The eggs Benedict are to die for along with the pancakes. Everything Ive ever tried here has been finger licking good and the service is great and the prices are even better. I PROMISE YOU IF YOU GO HERE FOR BREAKFAST YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT

Dont know why its rated 4.3. Gave it 1 star because it was the lowest option. Service wasnt good, the waiter spilled orange on 1 of my family member and didnt even bother to say sorry. Expensive for what it is also and food is not that great. Also had to take money from the atm for a fee. Since they didnt take cards, cash only

PERFECT!!! Kountry Kitchen is an outstanding ole Southern restaurant hidden in a small corner of Vero Beach. So both vacationers and tourists will sadly never have the pleasure of enjoying their home style cooking. Plus Kountry Kitchen has outstanding prices...more reasonable than McDonalds, IMHO.

Kountry Kitchen isnt your typical diner, the food is great, the wait staff are exceptional and the prices are unbeatable. One of Veros best restaurants to dine. The breakfast and lunch specials change every week and theres something for everyone here.

Always busy and packed on Sunday but the food is good eggs and bacon country style. The servers are very quick and always polite. Its a homey family place. You go more than once or twice and the server knows your preferences by heart.
