Me and my friends approached the bouncer (Spanish guy with goatee) and he wanted to charge me and another guy cover. Not a big deal. A girl we were with asked if we could get in for free because she won an award that night. He said no. We walked away. Ten minutes later we went back and I handed him the cover money and he told me that our friend, the one who asked if we could get in for free because of her award, was too drunk when she didnt even have one drink that night yet. I told him that he was going to put Stache out of business and then him and his bouncer pal got really aggressive so we left. I suggest the owner finds new security because this guy literally turned away a group of 8 because he was annoyed my friend (girl), who was sober, asked not to charge me and my other guy friend cover. Not going back until they hire new security.

Stache is a cool place, hidden away on a side street downtown. The concept is that you have to know its there, in order to know its there. The interior is great, fashioned after the speakeasies of the 1920s. There is a huge bar downstairs and a smaller one upstairs. The drinks are amazing, but they are also expensive and on the small side. I love the smaller sitting rooms upstairs, where you can escape some of the high volume music from below. They have comfy leather seating in a library type room. There are some interesting stage shows, loosely based on the burlesque theme. If you need something to eat, there is a guy by the entrance that makes terrific crepes at a reasonable price. The only glitch is that he is a party of one and the process is slow.

Had tickets to see Dan Aykroyd perform with the Blues Brothers Soul Band on Saturday night...Show was supposed to start @8...Got there @7 expecting to enjoy their advertised "Happy Hour" and secure a good seat but instead had to stand in line outside for an hour until doors opened...Once inside, the entire 2nd floor was closed off for a private party and seating on the 1st floor was VERY limited!...We waited with the crowd at the bar for 20 minutes for our drinks, only to be told they were not serving their specialty drinks...The band was great but they were not the Blues Bros Soul Band...We left at 11:10 and Aykroyd had still not appeared!...Stood up the entire time...This place is definitely overrated!

Amazing craft cocktails! My wife and I were looking for an upscale experience with expertly crafted libations. The exterior wasnt impressive as it is nestled in a typical bar/club strip (not our kind of scene) and we almost didnt bother. We were so glad we did! Each drink was perfectly balanced with sweet sour bitters and herbs. My first was a smokey old fashioned with flamed orange essence in a maple smoked glass. My wife had a vodka drink with sage and lemon. Each drink was unique and delicious. Look for Anita, shes truly an artist! Btw, they have the best whiskey selection I have ever seen - a bourbon lovers paradise. The food plates were also delicious (try the chicken and waffle sliders!)

Awesome as a date night spot. The second level has a pool with great bartenders. There is a uniquely decorated lounge area. The atmosphere is relaxed yet upscale which is nice when youre trying to avoid some of the more packed clubs and bars in the area. The first level is definitely for anyone looking for a somewhat crowded clubbing experience. The second level is for those who just want to enjoy craft and traditional cocktails in an intimate setting.

I decided to "Winter in South Florida" this year but had trouble finding a good whiskey cocktail bar without going into Miami until I discovered Bar Stache. The gentlemen behind the bar had extensive knowledge of their products and drink recipes. I highly recommend this place for a week night. I tried a weekend one time and it was packed. While it was beautiful and entertaining, I prefer the quieter nights with great drinks.

With its small and unassuming entrance, one never imagine inside lives a beautifully decorated night club. Depending on the night you decide to adventure inside youll either awed by the beautiful burlesque dancers or moving to the beat from the guest band or the resident dj. Walk up to bar and ask for drink menu and walk away with a maybe overpriced specialized cocktail but after one sip itll be worth the price.

FINALLY, something new in Fort Lauderdale.... I have lived in New York and San Francisco and have been itching for something just like this. The venue is dazzling, the staff is superb BUT the best thing is their craft cocktail list, filled with seasonal, intresting ingredients and hard to find liquors...I believe there is still hope for South Florida and its name is Stache 1920s Drinking Den!

Went here for a networking event, it was very loud, difficult to have a conversation so that wasnt helpful. I went outside for a breath and bit of peace, tried to strike up small talk with the bouncer, who was brusque but I suppose he felt that was professional. I had a glass of the house wine and left. It looks like a fun place for a non-work night out.

Pricey speak easy for interesting cocktails and craft beer. Upstairs there is a pool table, there is frequently a DJ or live music. Decor is above and beyond any other club in Florida. Look for the black mustache logo on the street, it is a speak easy so there is no title or give away that they sell alcohol until you get inside.

Great place for drinks and music. The ambiance and decor are awesome, with little "secret" rooms. Services was also good. Music was top notch, this being South Florida, the DJs are a great mixture of locals and top renowned international Djs as well, especially resident DJ Roland.

I love Stache. Easily my favorite bar. Enormous selection of whiskey. Good variety of other stuff. Friendly (but busy) bartenders, great drinks, and decent prices. Remember kids, youre ordering from a mixologist - not a dollar draft. Quality costs a little more.

Females bartenders are amazing. Very respectable whiskey collection. Completely unpredictable opening times, particularly during winter season (they will often be closed spring their happy hours because of private parties that are impossible to predict in advance).

Had a great time here last weekend. Truly a beautiful room with great staff that served some of the best hand crafted cocktails Ive had in a long time. Finally a up scaled night club / lounge I can feel comfortable at in the downtown fort lauderdale area.

Awesome spot, the vibe is really classy, the service was great, and the cocktails were amazing. The DJ was really good and I loved the burlesque show. Definitely coming back soon, there is nothing else like it downtown.

This place claims to be a bourbon bar but youll find a better selection at total wine. Seems like it could be s fun bar but do not come here if you are looking for a decent bourbon - they dont have it here.

I was introduced to this place by a friend. This has to be the best coffee bar in South Florida. The vibe here is incredible. The staff is incredibly pleasant. Wish that I can give them more than 5 stars.
