Ordered the Mexican Shrimp Margarita- they claimed it was one of the most popular items and I found it to be terribly conceived. They put 3 ingredients that just do not go together. Shrimp and black beans are a weird combination to start with. But I like to try stuff, but was sadly disappointed, From the appearance to taste it was just one big mess. It is a layered dish, the bottom layer is composed of diced cold shrimp that has no flavor, just something I can pick up at Publix, then a layer of black beans that taste like they opened a can of Black Beans, drained the liquid and plopped it there, no extra ingredients or flavor, then guacamole on top... That is it.. It looks like something that someone that is not a real cook put together in their house and then served it to friends for football night... It was cold, plain and the flavors just did not blend... Please stop saying that the Mexican Shrimp Margarita is very popular to the patrons. It is only popular because you keep suggesting it to the unsuspecting diner. Then we ordered the Mahi BLT - you think they cant get that wrong, but no luck.. It was greasy, salty, wet with something, the bread was soggy and there were these sun-dried tomatoes that were hard and dry and difficult to bite. The sandwich fell apart. I could not eat it...Greasy and super salty, not a good sandwich at all. If Chef Ramsey had visited them and been served that they would have heard an earful and if the chef tried out for Top Chef he would never get in the front door. I never give reviews but I think they need to change the Chef. Overall if I was going to rate the service and people then it would be a 5 star. Everyone was really nice but the food was awful... Good luck to them because it is a nice spot, great ambiance and they really should serve better food for the prices....

If youre looking for a fun way to spend a Wed. evening with friends, Trivia Night here is a great way to go. We went with a group of Yelpers for my first time. We had a terrific, silly and profitable evening! Every night, they have a drink special with a choice of beer or a specific cocktail. Since Im not a beer drinker, I opted for the cocktail, which was made with cherry vodka and a choice of mixers for $3. I always forget that people actually make things from maraschino cherries, which always makes me think of cough syrup. Granted, this is my hangup, but the cocktail tasted pretty much like straight maraschino juice and didnt have much of a kick. We had eaten before we left home, but got hungry again from the smell of all the food being brought to our table, so my daughter and I decided to split a sandwich and fries. The mahi sandwich was recommended by a friend, so thats what we got. There was a good sized, perfectly cooked mahi filet, along with some sauce and veggies on lightly toasted sourdough. The sauce was okay, it would have been better if they had served it on the side, but the fish was really good. The sourdough was nice, not too sour. We also ordered a side of sweet potato fries, which were delicious. Next time well order a big plate of those! The trivia competition lasted for about 90 min. There were 20 questions and a bonus. The questions covered everything from pop music to world geography. We had a great team and one the $100 certificate. We werent allowed to use it on that night, so well be going back in another week or so to defend our prize, use the certificate and hope for another one. Overall, this is a fun place to go, and well be glad to go back.

We were in the area for a pre-cruise stay. I did not know this was in the middle of entertainment district near downtown. We parked in a nearby ramp for $5. Lots of young people bar hopping in the area but seemed safe enough. It was very busy place with a large bar in the front and the music was blaring (bear in mind I am an old fart). Waitress was extremely good at her job. Smart, fast, friendly and guided us through the menu. I had oysters on the half shell and seafood stew. Both good, stew came out in a hot pot and the seafood was a little over cooked but seasoned well, very fresh and a very large portion (super cheap for $20). I loved the 1,000 marlin fish mount, lots to look at. A nice find for a weary traveller and lucky to have great service to boot!

Food was great. I topped my delicious burger with a fried egg, a recently acquired compulsion. Try one in the middle of any pizza. Companion loved his Asian Tuna Burger, plate cleaned. Half the seafood linguine was left, but another diner scooped it up for Sunday leftovers. Service was mostly attentive during the post Performing Arts Center matinee rush. Tap beer was disappointing. Refrigeration issues. Not warm, but not cold. - - June 23, 2012

Horrible place!!!!!! One of the bouncers push me out!! His name is Mike. Really tall Caucasian male and bald. He was really rude, he grabbed me for no good reason. I later went up to him and asked him not to touch me and he shoved me out of the bar. I find this sort of violence intolerable when Ive done nothing wrong. Fire this guy and find someone who knows some manners. I only wish I could rate negative 10 stars.

NOM NOM NOM. I sit at the bar. The bartenders are great, friendly attentive service pros who get the job done and seem to enjoy what they do. The fresh catch sandwich with different fresh fish each day and a key lime butter sauce is the best sandwich. The potato salad is great. Im a huge fan of the Kale salad. Protip, they can make your fish sandwich a wrap if you ask.

This has been one of my favorite places on Himmarshee for a long time. Even when its 3 deep standing room at the bar, the bartenders really do get to you as soon as possible. There happy hour includes premium beers 2/2 and goes 4 to 7 on most days. They even have happy hour on the weekends which most places dont. Great place to hang out with friends or meet new ones.

Im really disappointed that hours of operation is displayed and you come in 2 hours before close and you have to receive poor service at the excuse that the place is closing... So should I have gone somewhere else? I wouldve appreciated being told that than to have poorly prepared over priced food because they are closing in 2 hours. Smh

Been coming here about 15 years. Servers/service/food quality/location very good. Located past the end of Las Olas in the Himmarshee entertainment district. Lots of addl pub/restaurant choices within blocks. Walk to Broward Performing Arts Center and Science Museum. Young family and dog friendly. Recommend to anyone.

Watch your back here, I was a witness in a case where a bouncer beat an innocent guy knocking him unconscious. Outrageous behavior and I hope there is a law suit. I know the victim had done absolutely nothing to provoke the attack and ended up with many injuries and a $ 10,000 hospital bill. Stay away!

I was there in July as a representative of the "I Love the 90s Bar Crawl", and the staff couldnt have been more accommodating! They set up tables for us in an ideal spot upstairs and kept us hydrated the whole time. The crawl participants seemed to have a great time as well. Thanks, guys!! Scott
