The quality of the chicken they use is outstanding. The fried chicken is great and not too bread-y. The fried tenders are more bread-y but I love them on their salads. Grilled tenders are also excellent. Love the Cobb salad in particular. I also really like some of the sides, including the mac and cheese (which is on the kids menu but you can get it on a blue plate special for an extra $1), the watermelon with mint, and the cole slaw with apples (which is made with broccoli rather than cabbage slaw). I wish I liked their potato salad because I love potato salad but theirs bores me. The fries are okay. I cant tell if they are freshly made. I dont order fries generally unless they are too good to refuse. I can pass on these. The biscuits are good as long as you put plenty of honey butter on them. Otherwise, like lots of biscuits, they can be dry. And theyre overpriced and the honey butter is also an extra charge. The rest of the food, while expensive for fast casual, is justified by the quality.

So, I eagerly waited for the opening of Spring Chicken in Fort Lauderdale. Driving by the labor dispute everyday, mouthing get back to work, I want my chicken. Now, I have never been to a Spring Chicken, I have been to Yardbird. Today, I finally made it to the restaurant, I could barely contain myself at the anticipation of scrumptious, crispy moist chicken and biscuits like my southern Grandma made. Well...Not so much. My husband had the jumbo chicken tender blue plate, at 11.95 this was a total rip off. The tenders were not jumbo, the fries were old, and the slaw had zero taste and did not feel homemade. I had the 2 pc white, meh. The skin was not that great crunch you anticipate on that 1st bite, and again the flavor was not there. Now, for the biscuits...cold, dry and an additional. 75 cents for jam, come on! That is just rude! The restaurant is cute and comfortable, the service is good, but the food is MEH. Dear Spring Chicken, Let me show you how to cook Southern food....please!

Im really disappointed. I was so excited to try this place, finally something new in Ft Lauderdale. First ! The service was absolutely terrible, the girl behind the counter was LOUD and rude, had the worst attitude, spoke extremely fast and had the ugliest stank face. You would think youre at a burger king or checkers! Horrible !! Second after you pay for your food youre immediately thrown into the middle of Chaos, The condiment bar is right there the soda fountain is there and its just this mess of people bumping into eachtoher, the place is huge! you would think theyd spread it out. Last Chicken was overcooked, it wasnt that bad and i actually did like the food but Its probably just because it was new and I was still optimistic. Decor is nice/new. But the service from that girl and staff will keep me away from this place. What a shame.

First time I went here it was amazing. Chicken is great! Second time within one week, went for dinner to take home, ordered the 12 piece jumbo chicken tenders; got home and there were only 10 tenders. During this second visit, an employee asked me to go online and give him a good review as his bosses read them and would praise him. Went in yesterday for dinner, ordered at 7:16pm and did not get our food until 7:48pm. Wasnt informed of an extended wait, no apology given. Then on top of the wait, they messed up our order twice. First gave us someone elses sandwich, then didnt put avocado/bacon on the right sandwich. Which we paid extra for. Wasnt even worth going up to get fixed at that point. We just left. Im giving two stars because the chicken is good, otherwise unhappy with service.

You pay for quality ingredients! But they definitely should not hide any prices Ill take a star off for that. Staff was friendly though a little presuming which distracted me. Loved my solo lunch in a sunny dining room decorated kindly , while sipping a Coney Island hard root beer. Show me a ripe red tomato in a avocado bacon chicken sandwich at any other counter spot and Ill eat my hat but Id rather eat mamas biscuits with apple butter and strawberry preserves. The kale salad should be reworked without cheddar cheese and cranberries but dressing was not salad bar. Id come back for lunch but only ever lunch. Take your family here when the line for drivethru at pollotropical is too long. Do not come with high expectations.

DO NOT BUY A GIFT CARD HERE I am not one to blast companies, but after weeks of no help, my only option left is to warn others to protect them from a similar fate. Long story short? They sold us a $25 gift card, put nothing on it, and then refuse to do anything about it. The manager of the store was rude and refused to help. The marketing manager was nice but said it was "complicated" and is no longer responding to emails. As it stands, the company has effectively stolen money from us, with no reparations in sight. It doesnt matter if the food is good or bad. When a company so blatantly and unapologetically screws you, you never want to eat there or ever support them again.

Had lunch here on opening day, and it was delicious! I had the fried chicken salad, (a salad to make it sound healthy, the fried chicken so I actually enjoyed it). It was perfectly cooked, juicy, with a nice kick and a crunchy skin. Im not sure where the negative reviews are coming from, I could not find an issue with any part of my experience. As for the price, its a yuppie fried chicken spot, what do you expect? I put it in the same category as Red Cow, are there cheaper places? Absolutely. But being that it has Yardbirds DNA, did you expect it to be cheap? Im sure any kinks with service/processing orders will be worked out as with any new restaurant. CHECK IT OUT!!

Tried this place today for the first time. The service was quick and friendly. the decor is nice and attractive. When I got there they only had two customers this was at 5:45pm; kinda slow for a Thursday. Now for the food I have to agree with some of the reviews, it is okay. The food was served hot which was nice but the chicken needs to be more taste in breading. The bbq sauce has too much spice(chili powder or cumin) I never heard of these spices in bbq. The honey mustard has too much heat and not enough honey just like their honey butter which needed more honey. I dont think they will be at this location for long.

Ahh. This place was popular for about a whole 3 months. Very trendy industrial inside, which everyone loves these days. Whats not so good is the sides, watermelon over powered with mint, coleslaw over powered with apples, mac n chesse that is very firm dry and far from cheesy, and super dry biscuits. And the biggest problem, the sauce is not boss here. Bbq sauces taste like mustard seed, honey mustard taste like Frenches Yellow, honey hot with no sweetness, and the house hot will burn your ass you! I hope they inprove before its to late because the drums and wings are very delicious.
