First, the reason this review even got three stars; Popeyes chicken is good. I have not really seen or eaten at a Popeyes since I left my hometown of Denver, Colorado in the late 90s. This one opened within the last couple of weeks. They are not off to a good start. Here are some reasons I will not be going back. 1. We waited in the drive-thru for over 30 minutes. The only reason we did not leave is because we were blocked in by an 18-wheeler. Unacceptable. 2. Cars in front of us and behind us had to maneuver to avoid a wreck in an effort to allow "flow-through" and "parked" traffic to get in and out of the parking lot. 3. I have no idea who designed this parking lot, but its horrible. I have a couple of ideas for you. 1) how about having the flow through come in right in front at the entrance and flow through straight, then left (where the mulch beds are) instead of having traffic enter, go right, then left, then left again, blocking in the parking or flow-through traffic. 2) Switch the direction of the drive-through so that when cars enter, they turn left into the drive-through and have the traffic travel behind the restaurant from the other direction so that the front parked cars are not blocked in. 4. There was an 18-wheeler blocking cars in and they couldnt leave. He was transferring food from his truck to a rented POD storage unit in the back of the store. 5. This restaurant stores their food in a POD storage unit in the back of the store. My questions are 1)Is this sanitary and is it refrigerated? 2)Is the store that small that a storage system was not planned for? and 3) Arent you all afraid someone is going to steal your food? After all, it is on Stick Up Road, oops I mean High Point Road. 6. The customer service is horrible. While you were building and updating this store, were you not training personnel how to deliver good customer service? There were several cars in front of us and I heard the woman taking drive through order after drive through order while yelling, getting smart and just being plain rude to the customers. Fortunately, she was not rude to us. 7. The large sides are not large at all. The only thing I have to say is, Popeyes chicken is good. We most likely wont revisit, its not worth all the trouble.

I asked for 12 pieces chicken only, after ordering the biscuits and large mashed potatoes,after waiting 15 minutes behind another vehicle, waited an additional 5 minutes because their order was wrong! When I pulled up to the window, the staff was rushing me to pay her!I asked her if she can switch my order for a meal instead, I would get another large side and it would be around the same price, she insisted that I should stay with my order the way it was cause she would have to add a dollar & some change to the original order, I told her that is ok thats I want, she was annoyed with my request she went & asked Im guessing a supervisor, she comes back to tell me she cant do that switch on th drive thru, because theres people waiting behind me for their order!!!My response "you mean to tell me I just waited patiently for 20 minutes on the drive thru for my food and you cant switch my order??"she replied dont complain to me go to her!! Im guessing the supervisor, I said better yet work on your customer skills and keep your chicken and I drove off! On a final note,drive thru should have a make up code!!She looked so ridiculous with a hot purple lipstick! Then I went to KFC & i suggest it for them to go train Popeyes staff on good customer service! !!

Truly awful as they say, Ive been here three times so far. The first time, I couldnt even get an order in because the guy kept joking and laughing with his friend over the intercom. I have a feeling that he was playing dumb, not understanding what I was trying to order because it ended up with me driving off. The second time I came here, it was in hopes that Id get a different person with better service, and I was right. Having been finally satisfied, I decided to come back today only to end up leaving again. Please do a thorough sweep of your staff and pluck out the bad apples because this location has the worst customer service. I waited in line for about 15 minutes only to drive off because when I finally made it around the corner to be able to see the car at the window (two cars ahead of mine), I could see that the cashier had still not served them and was socializing with their coworkers. I think that they were trying to take their time working slow since it was so close to closing time. They were trying to minimize their workload until then. I just wanted some shrimp, yall, like dang.

I just had the worst experience ever in this place first off the cashier who works their with purple/blue lipstick just argued me down in front of all the other customers just because I asked for the 5 dollar big box and i requested for them to please not give me a thigh with my two piece Ill take a drumstick but no thigh with the 2piece mixed dinner well she goes off and tells me Ill get whatever they choose to put in the box and hurry up and order I even asked for the manager and she said I dont care Im telling you thatshould what I said take it or leave it no customer service skills whatsoever and demanded the manager to tell me the same she made the manager tell me I have never witnessed a employee tell the manager what to say even as I decided to leave and go elsewhere the cashier still screaming go wherever you want we dont need you its gonna always be people to buy our chicken just terrible attitude and she shouldnt be allowed to serve anyone better yet shouldnt even be in a customer service field

Yesterday i visited drive thru placed order for 2 pieces w/ red beans. The staffer asked what i wanted to drink. I said nothing just my chicken. He then told me i HAVE to buy a combo w/ one or two sides and a drink. So i drive to the window and asked why is this. The answer was "people ask for cup to get water and take soda instead." First off Im in the drive thru. Secondly if that was the problem charge for the cup when they ask for it. Dont make me have to order only one out of two ways. No longer a family restaurant but take your combo exactly how i say and go. Sad because i liked coming here. But not if I dont have a choice in my order.

Ive been there twice. The 1st time they only gave me 6 biscuits instead of the 8 that come with the 16 piece meal. Tonight (second time), I requested the 16 piece meal again and requested 2 mild legs and they said that they did not have any legs in mild or spicy....then... I asked for them to give me only one wing and the rest of the wings to be replaced with thighs. When me and my family got home, I saw that they gave us six pieces mild and gave us about 4 wings. They just put whatever in the box that they chose for us to have. Popeyes is too expensive to not have it the way we request. Heads up, check your food before you leave...
