If there was an option to give La Bonne Crepe less than 1 star, I would. My family of six had the worst experience at a restaurant the whole week we stayed in Fort Lauderdale. First the service. We were served by a waitress that was so unwelcoming that she didnt even smile once the whole time we were there, not even when she presented me the check. Worse, my daughter found a bug floating in her water glass that she poured from the carafe. When I discreetly presented the glass of water to the waitress who happened to be standing next to the owner, she immediately grabbed the glass and carafe from my hand and walked away with the owner. When she brought my daughter a fresh glass of water, there were absolutely no words of apology from the waitress nor the owner. NOT A WORD. Oh yeah, the food. I ordered a crepe with "lumps of crab meat" as indicated on the menu. For $19 I was expecting average size "lumps of crap meat". Instead I got pieces of Backfin crab meat. If you know crab meat like I do, its the less expensive type of crab meat and is certainly not "lumps". It also tasted as if came right out of a can. So, I suggest for the price youll pay at this establishment you can certainly get much better food and certainly MUCH better service. BTW, on the way out, our service waitress walked right passed me and my family and did not even offer a simple "thank you" for the more than generous tip I left her. As we exited the restaurant, we walked right past the owner who was standing behind the podium and he did not ever acknowledge us for patronizing their restaurant. What a lousy place. Many other places to choose from, trust me.

Okay.. Im (50%) from Brittany (where crepes AND galettes originated), and I spent maaaaaaaaany years in several (good) kitchens. So.. what they sell here (when the ONLY waiter for the entire venue have time enough to get to your table) is.... sad, to say the least. Few words about what we ordered this evening: Crepes, behamel, mushrooms, spinach.. Crepes (associated with any thing sugary) are made with wheat flour, where as galettes (served with salty food, veggies, sausage, cheese) are made with buckwheat flour. It might sound pretty much the same to you on the paper, but trust me, its night and day in your plate, and in your palate. Then.. comes the "Bechamel". One the most basic white sauce, which was here totally messed up. Then comes the mushrooms, which obviously are too expensive these days to buy fresh... and on and on and on... Even the "crepes" (Which, I remind you, should be galettes) are f*&% up, because, obviously, as somebody else already wrote earlier, theyre pre-maid. And pre-maid by somebody who doesnt know the difference in between a crepe, and a pancake. Ours were thick, crispy, or mushy (depending where you would touch): a disgrace, compare to what a real crepe can be. We left. Do yourself a favor, if you want to discover what crepes are, pick-up a REAL creperie, serving crepes AND galettes, not this place. Definitely not this place. The "Zagat rated" stickers on the door must have the same origin than the crepes: doubtful.

My father just passed away and this was one of his favorite restaurants so we returned here after many years of eating here only to see that the waitress nor the hostess would not sit us at a booth when the restaurant was actually quite empty. We asked for the booth because I have a tibial plateau fracture on my right leg and the booth is more stable and comfortable for me as well as my mother 70 plus year old mom who has a miniscus tear in one leg. When we told the wait staff and the hostess of the situation, they treated us with absolutely no dignity nor respect for that matter. My father was a pretty well known physician in town and would have never had treated anyone that way--given the humanitarian that he was. I feel as if they dissed his memory and past memories of having eaten at La Bonne Crepe with him. It is sad. So we (my mom and I) walked with our rotten legs quite a bit over to the Floridian Restaurant (which happened to be full by the way). I asked the hostess at the Floridian where we could sit and she looked at us with a smile and said, "Anywhere you like!" Restaurants should be warm and inviting. La Bonne Crepe is nasty. Not only do they have a total disregard for Americans with disabilities, they certainly do not have any empathy for past patrons--both dead and alive.

Weve eaten here a good 1/2 dozen times or so. I dont know what all of the complaining is about the 1 star review I saw on here was, but each time weve been there, the crepes have been absolutely delicious. We ate there today and I had the #4 crepe with cheese, sausage and marinara sauce. I absolutely loved it. Who cares if they pre-make the crepes before hand. They are made fresh daily and they taste delicious. Im so fortunate to live close this place. A quick drive down Davie Blvd and a left on SE 3rd and within minutes you can be on Las Olas. Las Olas was JAM PACKED on a Sunday night. All of the snow birds must be down now. Dont listen to the negative reviews on here. The food is good. We eat here every few months. Sometimes the service is slow, but so be it. Dont avoid this place just because of a couple 1 star reviews. The crepes here are delicious. Some people here are just super picky and like to rag on places. Thats what you get when you deal with the public. Everybody is some critic who likes to hurt a business.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! Their service was horrible! Our waiter Andre provided poor service and visibly displayed his annoyance when my wife asked to switch out the kids drinks for something else, as they did not like the taste. My wife even apologized, which shed didnt need to do, and he still appeared annoyed. After the exchange, we barely saw him and had to ask other for things we needed, including having the owner replace soiled utensils. I informed the owner and he said our waiters behavior could have been a result of them being busy, as they had a server call out sick. DONT give customers excuses for your employees poor service and behavior!!! We will not be returning to spend our $$in this establishment!!!

Incredibly disappointing. We are here on our last day of vacation in Fort Lauderdale, and this was our least favorite dining experience through our whole trip. We were seated next to where we could see the food being prepared. The crepes are not made fresh, but rather made in advance, stacked in a pile, and thrown on the flat top to re-heat when one is ordered. Overall, poor quality ingredients (processed ham, bland cheddar cheese). The service wasnt anything memorable. Hostess appeared uptight and bothered, our server took our order, dropped off our food, and we never saw her again. Not worth the price, or the calories.

Location is great! Food is awful. First I ordered crepes with strawberries and coffee. Food arrived: coffee was cold and cup itself was dirty. Crepes were very dry and not a good quality cooked. Strawberries were old. I asked to speak with a management, she offered to replace wit something else. I choose open sandwich with cheese, tomato, basil and peach of turkey. When it did arrived, I saw an overcooked sandwich with very overcooked cheese, small peach of cheap tomato, no basil. Sandwich was very dry and not tasty at all. I was too hesitant to send it back again.
