Last night my wife and myself decided to have dinner at Genuine as we do at least twice a month, we sat down ordered our drinks then our meal. On the same ticket with our onion rings was our dinner we got the onion rings right away. Now here is the best part other tables that sat down after us received their meals before we did, ask our waitress if I could speak to the manager she returned about 15 minutes later saying she couldnt find him for real. After about a half hour the manager come to our table with a lame excuse that they had ran out of paper on the printer. Now with that being said how did we get our apps when it was all put in at the same time. I had the calamari which Ive had a number of times that was excellent last night was to salty didnt enjoy it at all. I really think we will think we will think twice before we return again. P S there was also a table of about 8 that was getting there meals one at a time wouldnt you think they would have liked to all eat together my wife and myself really felt bad for them. Thank you for your time.

If you are going to have a happy hour and advertise it wouldnt you expect that the wait staff would know exactly what the amount off would be. The waitress had no idea how much off the drinks were for happy hour and when I pressed her about it she said she would ask the manager. When she came back she said that it was all controlled by the computer and still did not know how much off the drinks would be. For the record the advertised price of the Yingling draft was $3.49 and they me charged $2.50 The food was very good, ordered calamari for an appetizer and it was excellent, not overcooked into rubber bands like a lot of places and it was a very large serving. The main course of fish & chips was cooked perfectly with a large portion of fries. This was my first time so will reserve judgement until we try it several times but for the first trip I would recommend unless you want to know how much your drinks will cost during happy hour.

We ate at Genuine Bistro recently and enjoyed it for the most part. We sat on the patio which is close to the road and if the patio isnt full you can certainly hear the traffic. The food was very good, a bit over priced but our server was absolutely great. My only problem was the live "jazz" music. Note to others if Brad Sayre is playing stay away or at least off the patio unless your looking for a bad version of a rock and roll concert. He played way too loud, we couldnt even keep talking at our table because you had to scream at the person sitting across from you. When staff asked him to turn it down he didnt. His jazz is more like soft rock with some very heavy guitar solos mixed in. Thank goodness we were done eating and left promptly or we would have moved inside like many other patrons. If we go back well certainly do it differently and wait till Brad Sayre isnt playing.

My daughters and I have been going to GENUINE to celebrate different occasions for over 3 years and it has always been wonderful but after last night I think we may have to find a new place. We still had a great time but it was because of the company NOT the food or service. My daughter ordered the Angel Hair Jardiniere which she always does and it came swimming in olive oil and tasteless. We informed our server that it was inedible and we were promptly told "that is the way it comes and we should know that that if we had ordered it before". She did not offer to get my daughter something else nor did they remove it from our bill and the rest of our entrees were mediocre. Our server was ok but very unfamiliar with the menu and said a couple of things that just kind of hit us the wrong way. So we have another celebration in June but doubt Genuine will be a part of it.

2014 - Great food, great service! We live just over a mile down the road and every few days there is something new on the marque out front. We have been twice with great results both times. We have recommended to Family and Friends and they all love it. Update 2016 - service has gone downhill. I have beven 3 times in the past three month all with either poor or horrible service. One time it took us over 1 and 1/2 hours to get our food! Update 2017 - Service has not approved, we have stopped going all together because of the service, sad because we miss the food. We have even tried pick up a couple times and its a Do not care attitude by the staff. 15 mins to pay for my food which already sitting in. A bag in front of me getting cold while a couple of the staff chit chat after asking what I was waiting for... sad.

Visiting friends who live in DeBary and wanted to go for breakfast. The restaurant we wanted to go to was closed and decided to try Genuine. They just opened so we were the first table there. Waitress was very genuinely friendly and cheerful. I ordered the Rubin with fried sweet potatoes and my friend ordered the fried fish with french fries. Both were delicious The rubin was cooked just enough so bread was hot but not crispy and/ or soggy. Lots of meat and the fries were great with a little sugar and cinnamon. The fish was also perfectly cooked with large portions (neither one of us could finish our order because of how large a portion we were given). I was on vacation and ate out everyday I was in the area and I have to say this was the most memorable and satisfying of the whole trip.

Moved in the area 6 months ago and finally came to eat here. What a mistake that was. How most people give them a high rating is beyond me. That was for sure the worst restaurant food I ever ate and that includes buffets. The Ahi tuna was sliced way too thick and the dip that came with it was just plain soy sauce. Fries smelled fishy because they were probably done in the same oil they deep fry their fish. Everything was dry and absolutely tasteless. After complaining they credited me half off my dinner. I can only advice everyone not to eat here. Was the first and last time for me. Maybe people like the party atmosphere here .I just dont get the high ratings.

So disappointed with the service. We moved to Debary in August and we genuinely enjoy the food, however they seem to favor regulars and the service reflects that. Although we have been to this establishment at least 10x since we moved... if you go during the weekend expect too not only to wait but the regulars wi get their food long before you do. Its a shame that they do not treat new customers the same as there existing. The poor waitresses are running around crazy while the owner sits and mingles with the regulars. If you decide to dine in a Bistro and are new to the area plan on waiting at least an hour for your food and drinks.
