We have enjoyed many different items on their great menu for a long while now, however one of our favorites is / was the freshest, high quality sushi, we usually get a boat for 3 as we did this day. Not only did it seem smaller, like for two people, we were all in agreement that some of the fish was room temperature but worse, tasted "off "! We asked our waitress to replace some of the sashimi and requested extra ginger...very small amount came on our boat. She did return eventually with a small amount of extra ginger and a few pieces of other sashimi, but by then we all agreed that half of the fish was not up to standard. Admittedly we ate it, too embarrassed to ask to change again. Its worth noting that the presentation, which had always been impressive ,was lacking and almost sloppy. We joked to ourselves that we may have gotten others left overs. Acknowledging it wasnt her fault, we expressed our dismay in the end, adding we wouldnt return for sushi any longer. She did take longer than usual to bring us everything basically, (including one simple Draft beer and we were seated right next to the bar!), but that was not the main disappointment. So she had a manager (Jason) come to speak with us regarding our experience. He was apologetic and said that he would take care of us if we return, which was nice, but he could have / should have comped us in my opinion. I have been bringing many friends and family since their opening and we are usually bragging how great the food is, and I will return to see if Jason will honor his word, but if not, that will be our last time for sure. I may sound overly critical, but neither of us three rarely, if ever, complain over minor things in all our daily lives and travels but this had to be shared. We eat sushi at least once a week and have a wonderful place closer to us but we enjoyed the ambiance on the beach. Everyone has bad days from time to time, so hopefully that was the case the other day. I would love to post a five star rating next time. Linda from Hollywood

Sketchy pricing, Bartender said they had 2 for 1 specials all day every day so I ordered a Vodka and Sprite and when I finished it I asked for the second one. When I received the bill my two drinks cost 16.00 and were both on the bill. I asked what happened to 2 for 1 and was told that they were doubles (by the taste I would insist they were not, but no matter) and that I was charged the same price as I would be charged for a single. So I asked what I wouldve been charged if I just wanted one single. I was told "same price"... so 2 for 1 drinks actually means youre paying 8.00 for per drink whether you want a single or a double. I explained that I thought 2 for 1 was the same as what the bar Duffys does, basically what it sounds like. Buy one at full price and you get a 2nd. Her response was "2 for 1 doesnt mean you buy one and get another one free, we just give you a double for the same price as a single". There is no other word for that than "shady". I also ordered fish dip for 9 dollars which was a small clump of fish dip surrounded by a plate of stale corn chips and two packets of crushed crackers. All told this experience cost me 26.00 plus tip. 26.00 for two watered down well drinks and a mediocre appetizer. I wouldnt suggest this place to anyone. Sorely disappointed.

I have eaten at every Quarterdeck in the area (including Jupiter) except this one...until Friday night. Friday evening, I got there to meet friends around 730pm....it was pretty busy, so the waitress not showing up for 15 minutes, I forgave.. Then she got around and I ordered a drink, and a coupe of memorial drinks for deceased military buddies, including my deceased husband, a Frenchman who died in Afghanistan (yes, I was married to a frog)... I also ordered a rare burger, onion rings and a salad. When the drinks came, it seemed that the glasses had not been washed at all....however getting her atyention on thos was impossible. When the birger came, she realized I hand no silverware (I had a salad too and ordered the burger rare with no bun.) So while waiting for silverware...which I had to request 2xs...my burger....which wasnt rare, was cold and inedible. Silverware was filthy too....as if it had not been washed..... So, needless to say, all I was able to eat and be decently neat....eating salad as a finger food..... No one stopped at the table to check on my food or anyone elses..... Simply put....I get it was busy....but that is no excuse for poor service, nasty silverware, dirty glassware, over cooked food.... And a bill of 53.00+

We were told 45-60 min wait for a party of 8, which on a Saturday evening was to be expected. The wait was longer, they told us they were able to sit half of our party (which included 3 children) first while the other table next to us dealt with their checks. That took over 45 mins while other adjoining tables around us were sat and served. The kids food also took at least 45 mins, after a long wait to order. All in all, the lack of customer service on the part of the hosts, server, and manager was inexcusable. There was no initiative to fix or improve the situation, and we had to keep chasing them down for any type of service. When the check came, nothing was comped. The manager argued with me when I said we had no problem paying for the adults, but requested the childrens meals be removed since it took around 2.5 hours for them to be fed. She eventually agreed, but when I went back in to use the restroom I came across her and the server gossiping about our table. Wouldnt go back or recommend based on the experience and lack of professionalism. Its a shame because some of servers and bartenders were really good at their job and the food wasnt bad.

Quarterdeck is a long-time South Florida favorite. I have been a patron of their many locations for over 10 years. The Quarterdeck on Dania Beach is one of their newer locations, and has been only open for a few years now. The location is definitely their nicestest, in terms of views and menu, but also their most expensive. I gave it 4 stars strictly on the basis of price. Everything on the menu is delicious, but some things just seem a little overpriced for what you end up getting, mainly the sushi. Not saying that its break your back pricing, but for a family friendly atmosphere, you normally expect a little better pricing. In their argument, the restaurant is literally on the pier, with some of the best views of the South Florida coastline you could ask for. I will continue to eat here even with all that said, because everything is top notch. Try the sushi, trust me you cant go wrong. I just hope one day they throw in another crab cake fritter so when I spit them with my girlfriend and we both get 3 :-)

The ocean view was awesome but everything else was not so great. The waitress was nice but she can work on a couple of things. She just handed us the can of beer and the cup to pour our selves, I stead of pouring it and serving it properly. When it came time for the check, instead of handing back the card to my husband , she left it at the corner of the table where it was out of reach for both of us, I had to get up and get it. We ordered an appetizer, waited for about 25 minutes. Our meals ended up coming out first. We told her we still wanted our appetizer. The waitress claimed the manager took 50% off the appetizer. We later noticed that they only took off $2.00 The food was was so bland. Did not taste fresh, it had that freezer taste to it. My Lobster roll meat was grey instead of pink, how its supposed to be. I heard another couple complaining how their ice cream cake was disgusting because it had the freezer taster to it. My husband and I were NOT pleased at all.
