1/11/2014 My husband and I walked in and were not greeted by either the waitress or bartender. The resturant was NOT busy. I had to ask if it was open seating and when the waitress replied, it was not at all friendly or welcoming. It took extra long before the server went to our table. We had to ask for the menu. That took FOREVER. then we waited again for her to come back to take the order. The food took quite a while but that may be because they cooked my medium-well burger for a decade! The server remained aloof throughout the enitre experience, never smiling, no pleasantries like "Thank you", ect. During the wait for our food, the waitress never visited the table to check on us. After our food came, I asked for salt and pepper. Despite being a slow eater, I was still done before the salt arrived. When the waitress deivered our check she apoligized for the wait and said she took care of my drink (no charge). I would have rather paid for my drink and friendly/attentive service than get impolite service and a free drink.

Went there on a Saturday early evening and , despite it being not so crazy (rather light in fact) we were never greeted or basically addressed at all. We finally hunted a waitress to ask about the seating and she just generally pointed to the seating area as a signal to "sit wherever". The tables are minute and oval shape so one table will probably only work for 1.5 people...anything above a drink will crowd the table awfully. Granted, our 5 ppl party size is not the places "fault" but even in light of this we did not receive ANY help in trying to find chairs for the ill conceived table. After like 15 minutes waiting, with half our party standing very awkwardly, we just decided to leave. Only to be greeted by the $12 / 15 minute valet parking gift. For all the hooplah around the place, I found it an incredible pain in the lower back to get to and found that I would much rather go to the newer hotels next to the Beach Place. We will not be going back and will not recommend it to any of our friends.

If it was not for the mermaid show I would not have stayed. The mermaid show was amazing and the ladies were great but the dinner service was horrible. He barely listened and the food came out completely wrong multiple times. Some of my friends never even got a drink. The burgers we requested well done and were not fully cooked. They have one guy taking orders, bringing drinks, and serving food. He could not handle the amount of people. I gave up at the end, asking for things that never came and just asked for them to not charge me for what I never got. Next time if I ever return I would sit at the bar with different services just to drink and see the mermaid show. Lastly the drinks were horrible. The drinks were watered down and the water tasted horrible. Sprite is basically water there. If youre going for the mermaids its great but if for food I recommend rethinking that. Menu doesnt have many options.

Great upscale "dive bar." Traveling alone and in Fort Lauderdale for one brief evening, I was looking for a place near the harbor where I could have a couple beers to end the evening. With an early flight, I didnt want to stay out too late. Well, Smashley and the fun crowd that came through the pub were entertaining enough that my planned 11pm curfew was extended to 1:30am. A bucket of beers was cheap and the crowd of friendly people coming through made it a lot of fun. The crowd was generally my age (college age kids -- is the polite way to describe it). If Im ever back in Fort Lauderdale, Ill be staying near the harbor and spending an evening at the Wreck.

If you visit Fort Lauderdale you really should treat yourself to a drink at The Wreck which is in what is now the B Ocean Resort. The bar is designed like the upside down hull of a 100-200 year old sailing ship wreck. Strategically located aquariums give the impression of looking out holes in the deterorating hull. The real highlight, though is a real window that looks out into the hotel swimming pool. The bar is featured in the movie "Analyze This." In the movie Robert DeNiro and Billy Crystal are sitting at the bar when a body comes floating past the window! I consider any visit to FLL incomplete if we do not get to The Wreck for at least one beer.

The place was hidden in a hotel and is not advertised, so its a little hard to find. Then its really small and it was hot in there with all those people. The bartender mark was great, very friendly and he made good drinks. The mermaid show was only fifteen minutes, we were took that it was going to be short 5 minutes before the show. But I was waiting there for least 30 minutes already. The show was quick but cute. And I love that we were able to take pictures after the show. The actress was very nice and they were for tips. Had an ok time, but its an only see once show.

Located inside the Sheraton, this famous bar was featured in Billy Crystals movie, "Analyze This." Why, you might ask? Because of the huge tank on the wall of the bar that features a show with live, lovely mermaids. Theyve also been known to hang out at the pool on special occasions It has great atmosphere, almost giving you that ship board feeling with lots of wood. Theres also a very nice aquarium, which is always relaxing. There are some wonderful drinks to go with things like some terrific sliders. Im hoping to get to delve more into the menu at a later date.

This place is exactly what it names say. a WRECK! The bar opens at 5:30 and at 5:35 they tell us there is no mermaid show because the pool is dirty. It would seem to me that if this is the point of this bar, that they would have someone take car of the pool on a regular basis. Our party ordered food. The service was marginal at best. The last person was served 30 minutes after the first person got their food. Only 2 servers?? And then 2 people never received there food! We spent $ 700 on drinks and dinner and it was well NOT WORTH it! Try something else!

Went for the Happy Hour(5:30) and enjoyed the Mermaid Show on Friday and Saturday night @ 6:30. Get there early, probably be a line at the door @ 5:30 when they open. Girls are beautiful and swim and interact with crowd, downsides are not enough room in tiny bar, drinks are hard to obtain with so little space and only 2 servers, music was a hair too loud making everything seem annoying. But really a must see for tourists. Get there early and have a drink then leave early and say you did it:)

Just left this place. The menu says we "try" to obtain local fish. Obvious is grouper or mahi, bullshit! You think customers are idiots? You dont serve grouper, or do you? The mahi is clearly, a frozen cut and texture. Kudos for fell ng the truth to the waiter, wasnt his fault. What gives in Fla with non local supported seafood and fisheries?? Grouper used to be fresh dime a dozen everywhere. Now its a bullshit frozen fest???!! Fla needs to wake up as a whole on seafood culture....
