Giving this place 2 stars, one for our server who was very nice and one for the oceanfront location. My husband and I went here on a rather rainy Tuesday evening. The restaurant was pretty empty due to the weather. We ordered two cocktails, a dozen oysters and conch fritters to start. At the suggestion of our server, I got the lychee martini and my husband ordered a drink made with vodka, blue curaçao and lemon juice (dont remember the name of it). Oysters were good and conch fritters were better than most. Both drinks were so good that we ordered 2 more with dinner. Beware that drinks are $12 each. Theres no happy hour pricing. Unfortunately, my husbands second drink was strangely weak and not at all blue like the first one. That was the beginning of the end. We ordered 1 1/2 lbs. of king crab legs with Caesar salad and beach fries. The crab legs were served split in half, something we had never seen before, as we order king crab often when dining out. The crab was very dry and flaked and fell apart when removing from the shell. The fries were over cooked as well and our server ask the kitchen to make a new batch. The Caesar salad was soggy. When we told the server that the crab wasnt good, she said that there was a different manager on duty and that he split them that way and that they arent usually served that way so that may be why they were dry but there was no offer to make it right. When presented with the check, were shocked to see we were charged over $60 for 1 1/2 lbs of crab! I wanted to ask if perhaps we had been charged for 3 lbs instead of 1 1/2, but my husband just wanted to go, so we paid the check and left. Even though we liked the location and the view, we wont be returning.

The worst place ever.Service disgusting. Work crooks and not professionals. Cheating in checks.Today a business meeting was held with my client, to whom I appointed a meeting there. We ordered 3 lecho martini. When they brought it to us, there was only a martini. I made a note to the waiter, where are the berries themselves? To which she answered me that the berries are on the 2 nd floor, and if I want, then she will bring them to me. Then I brought it, but from the first floor. It turned out to be a liar. Sorry, the price of the drink costs from $ 10 to $ 15. How to understand if I want to. Im a customer since the opening of this bar. When I asked to call the manager, she called an ordinary bartender, so she wanted to deceive me. Eventually the manager came. Instead of apologies that they are deceiving people. I was told that I should leave this place. What kind of manager is this, led by a waiter with dog behavior to people. Service disgusting, dishes dirty, prices as in an elite restaurant. I recommend that you urgently change the manager and all the staff. I will go to court, for infringement of my rights. Also deceive in the check. The meeting broke, the deal did not take place. Are you guys overheated there? This story is not over yet .....

i normally order from the pier since the food is fine and is next to my house, i always bring friends to enjoy the pier and the view, however service is way far from where you want it to be, i can count 3 people that serves you the right way, today I order through the phone as I always do, they told me it would be ready in 20min, i showed up after 40 just to see the bartender typing my order when i asked for my to go, he immediately handed me a check before he even apologize for his mistake and ran away, i didnt see him again until the time i left, not even im sorry, his co worker the other barteneder apologize many times but at this point it was unacceptable, she chose not to bring it up to her managers who were next to her, i waited 20 mins in there so there wasnt any advantage of ordering 45 min ahead, since i had to wait 20 extra minutes instead of IN AND OUT i got a ticket on their parking lot, FOOD IS GREAT, VIEW IS AMAZING, SERVICE HAS A LOT TO CATCH UP, I WISH CHAD WAS WORKING THEN THIS WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED.

My wife and I recently visited Beach Bar at Newport Pier and I can only say that I was far from impressed. The crispy calamari that we ordered was bland and just barely warm, the spinach and artichoke dip was terrible and contained no noticeable artichoke. On top of appearing to have been left in the oven for 2 hours too long, the dip was also room temperature and had a 1 inch dry crust on top. The mahi tacos also lacked any flavor and the fish was severely dry despite being fried. Perhaps the post disappointing was the lamb chops which tasted like the fuel that was probably used to grill them. They were poorly flavored, dry, and also just slightly warm. Terrible food and I doubt we will ever visit this place again. I feel bad for our waitress Natalie who was very polite and attentive, (she is the only reason I gave 2 stars). Never again!

Visiting from Georgia and craving fresh seafood decided to visit the Beach Bar because it was walking distance from where we were staying. Great location but the traffic going to and from the pier was quite irritating. Ordered grilled snapper but it came blackened the waitress Racquel lacked customer service skills so I requested to see the manager. Got my bill that was $166.00 because she forgot to take the burned fish off. The manager Travis great guy ended up doing the job that hes paying his staff to do. He corrected my bill to include gratuity for the waitress in which I refused to pay because her customer service skills sucked. On my next visit Ill make sure Raquel is not my waitress. Good customer service makes a big difference in any business. Thanks again for the assistance Travis!!

You have to walk through the Beach Bar to get to the Newport Pier, which is absolutely stunning. I even saw a rainbow in the background of the ocean. I got charged to get on the pier even though I ate at the restaurant. The restaurant serves overpriced Asian-American fare. I ordered the Oysters Rockefeller and Jumbo Sea Scallop & Spinach Salad, and both items were excellent. I sat at the bar where the service was great once I actually found the bartender. The rest of the staff was horse playing around out of boredom since the restaurant wasn’t busy, which was somewhat distracting as I was trying to enjoy the beautiful view of Sunny Isles Beach and watch sports on their flat screen TVs. Be prepared for a very limited parking and mostly tourists.
