Ok....so for a 67$ lunch bill that included just 3 drinks I should be raving about the food.. NOT! My date had the chic & shrimp Alfredo, he said it was good...not awesome, just good. My salad was awful, it wasnt made like it was described. It was the Grilled chic strawberry salad. There was no bacon bits and a hint of balsamic vinegar and and a bunch of dry lettuce w what looked like 2-3 chopped strawberries. Sent it back, came back to me w a measly amount of bits thrown on the side, and no walnuts. Chef, and I use that word very loosely, came out, and instead of being apologetic, proceeded to tell me how no one else EVER complained....wrong answer. The mark up on this salad must be 100 percent, cause lettuce and strawberries are nothing, and the cheesy amount of bits, were more or less non existent. I will say it is beautifully decorated, and Taylor, our waitress was awesome. Too bad you cant eat decorations...no doubt would have been better than my bogus salad....my bogus 13$ salad that Wendys does better for 6$. We wont be going here again.

First of all it was Xmas and we went there for lunch. The place was almost full but the bar was empty. So we went to the bar to have a meal and the bartender said we needed a reservation. I looked at all the empty seats and told my husband, "hes joking" but as soon as I said that the bartender said "NO,Im not joking"..but Ill let it slide because its xmas. That set a very bad feeling for eating there but because I need something to settle the low sugar level in my blood we decided to eat and go. The turkey was microwaved and made it tough to eat. I was only able to eat the mashed potatoes and yams. On the way out I told the receptionist about the rudeness of the unfriendly and rude greeting we had from their bartender. Her comment was "that was low" and shes so right. We have had thanksgiving dinner there for two years but after this horrible meal and the rude greeting, we will never go back there again. Wow we had a bad experience here for breakfast. My husband and I headed out to find a breakfast spot while on vacation and unfortunately we chose River Ranch. We should of known the moment we got there at 8:10 am and had to ask an employee if they were open and he said not til 8 lol. Anyway the bad experience didnt stop there. We had to keep asking for cream for coffee... got our toast after the meal... found hair melted in my cheese and I actually asked for NO cheese... my husbands food was ok... my food blah. The next day we went to The Boathouse and was so happy. First it was half the price and delicious. Beware of River Ranch. Not recommended at all.

Ruined our Christmas dinner , was told during the week by wait staff they would be open Christmas day. , they failed to inform us they required reservations. So the girls didnt cook or plan a meal. We arrive at 1pm ,took our pick of empty tables and seats and sat down. Moments later we was informed they would not serve walk ins.. Day ruined , everything closed. We were traveling by boats , having only bicycles as a form of transportation , so we were limited on how far we could travel. In our three week stay in crystal river I regret the money I have already spent there. Nortons sports bar and grill the rest of the week for me.

Very slow service. My blackened Mahi was was served perfectly. The lemon basil creme sauce with sun dried tomatoes and artichokes was put on the fish at refrigerator cold temperature. I sent it back. When the dish was brought back to me, the fish was cold and the sauce was warm. I could hear the kitchen staff remarking about my lunch in the back ground. My salad was tasty but very small. I had a balsamic reduction that had great flavor. There is a real potential for greatness to emerge from this place. Pay attention to details and listen to your cusomer reviews. I am really disappointed with this treatment.

Tonight was my sweethearts birthday and we are new to Crystal River so we started comparing prices and reviews, River Ranch came up so we gave it a try. We were not disappointed. It was slow so we had impeccable service, the Ahi Tuna was seared perfectly,the Ginger Sauce to go with was delish!- She had the Ribeye which was a little fatty , but its a Ribeye so... The New York strip was a perfect medium..and our drinks were large and strong! The server offered dessert and we went with the Triple Chocolate cake. It is as described-triple chocolate and a piece big enough for the two of us. We will be back.

Found this place because the local steakhouse was super busy for Fathers Day ... glad they were! Small & Cozy with just enough decor! It has a bar that you dont really hear. Our server was friendly and we didnt wait long for our food (early dinner / late lunch) We splurged and got the Ribeye & Lobster ... not a disappointment at all! Steaks were cooked just as we wanted and tender :) , the lobster was perfect! The green beans had great flavor and the Balsamic salad dressing left me speechless! Not for the cheap date night ($60 total) but well worth the price. 2 thumbs up! ! !

This was about my 10th time and its getting progressively worse. Ordered the burger medium, it was well done. Please dont ask me how I want it if it isnt going to be cooked that way. The burger was about half the size of the bun. The lettuce was old and wilted. The fries had more pieces of old fried stuff than actual fries. The pickle was good! Overall very disappointed. Glad I didnt get the $30 surf and turf special. They cant even do burgers right. The waiter never asked how our dinner was. I guess he cared about as much as the cook cared which was not at all.

Agh. I loved this place on my first visit. The decor was nice, the staff was friendly, the food was great. But the next few times, it seems like there was no management present because the staff was all over the place. Very slow to take our order, didnt refill our drinks once, food came out at vastly different times. I went for breakfast recently and it was slow - I was one of only 3 tables there. And I would still say my service was very slow. But Ill give this place another shot in a few weeks. Hope they solve their issues by then.

If I could leave a zero star I would. For mothers day my husband took me and our kids there for lunch. The place was slow at 2 in the afternoon, but it took 40 minutes just to get our drinks. We ordered sweet tea but they were out. 30 minutes later we were able to put in order. Well while I was eating my sandwich and fries I noticed hair on my fries, Black hair, I am blonde. No apologies what so every. In the end 2 hours 45 minutes later we left with no refills hair in my food and a bill for $75. Worse was no apologies.

Apparently they add the tip to larger groups. They didnt tell us though! We had 14, no one is going back. We have all been there before and didnt have the auto tip. They were charging my wife and i $15 and we were leaving $30, that would have been$45. I scratched it all out and left only what they added without asking or telling. They would have been empty if our group wasnt there. Too many other places to go, wont be back! Foods cold when you get it anyhow.
