Lets say you want a nacho platter. Yknow, nachos with meat, tomatoes, cheese and beans on top. So you go to this dump in a bad neighborhood and order a nacho platter. What do you get? Very stale nachos mixed with not-so-stale nachos topped with obviously several week-old tomatoes, and steak with all sorts of terrible gristle. Horrid parts of the steak are like shoe leather; extremely hard to chew and tasteless. So what happens when you want pork quesedillas with beans and rice for a side? You dont get beans. You also dont get rice. Instead, you get a half-assed excuse for mexican cuisine. The place is rancid and very dirty, you cant see much of the kitchen, but let me tell you; Ill bet that there are several health code violations there. Just by the mere glimpse of what Ive seen back there, it looks like a total hole. Imagine hundreds of cockroaches (dead or alive), mice, spiders, and a generally dirty and unkempt kitchen. I will NOT be eating here again. Ive tried it a few times, and each time was full of disappointment. The health inspector needs to take a look at this dump. Its been shut down before, about 2-3 years ago due to health concerns. From the looks of things, they havent changed one bit.

Just what we were looking for! To find great Mexican food you have to look off the beaten path, you wont find it in the mall, at a stand-alone restaurant or any place that slathers their food with cheese food sauce. Our experience at el Huarache Azteca was simply delightful! Our 2 year-old son loved the Mariachi band that was playing. Their chips are obviously homemade as they are thicker than the machine pressed tortillas you find elsewhere. We ordered a bowl of guacamole to share and it was very fresh and delicious with large chunks of chopped onion, tomato and cilantro. The kids and I opted for tacos, the kids each had chicken, I chose al Pastor, which was delicious! +DanielleMerriott chose to have chicken quesadilla which had an ample portion and also quite tasty with queso blanco and braised chicken. The food was a great value, the four of us leaving very well satisfied for about $35 after a generous tip. We will happily return again.

First time visiting this establishment and I wasnt overly satisfied. My husband and I are Mexican food junkies and love to try new Mexican restaurants. I was first surprised by the small fining area, but it was decorated beautifully. Then came the chips and salsa. NOT overly impressed. Although I loved the homemade chips...the salsa wasnt what I would call good....but it wasnt disgusting. My husband on the other hand hated both. For our dinner my husband had the Steak Nachos Aztecas...which was huge and good. I had the steak chimichanga and loved it! We then ordered cheese dip because we didnt like the salsa. It was yellow. Not white con queso like you usually have at Mexican restaurants. It was like melted velveeta...with a few spicy tomatoes. Not the best. Soo...overall...it was okay. Not the best...but the main dishes were great!

Ive order delivery on 4 different occasions and the service is absolutley horrible! They charged the wrong cards. It takes and hour and 30 minutes for the food to arrive. They leave orders behind. They never ask for your address or phone number and they do not arrive with change for your order, but they ask you if you have change. And when i spoke to them about it they said that they are busy right now i cant stop and take phone orders. Or ill call you back for the rest of the order. The food is excellent, but certainly not worth the trouble....go to Carmelitas.

Truly authentic Mexican food, and absolutely delicious! Its a small unassuming place, no frills but the food is fantastic and we will most definitely be back. The only I didnt love was the the salsa that came with the chips. It wasnt bad, just not a chunky tomato salsa like I personally prefer. The chips, however, were incredible! I highly recommend giving this place a try.

The most bland Mexican food Ive ever eaten. Plus I ordered to go the girl told me ten mins. A after 20 I asked her how much longer she just shrugged her shoulders. Then ten mins later she goes and picks up a bag thats been sitting there almost the whole time I was waiting and gives it to me. Horrible service and food.

Friendly Service, Live music and food was excellent! A very nice place to eat authentic Mexican food. I will indeed come back whenever I come back to Clearwater. This Restaurant was marked as my favorite Mexican spot via my phone. PS. Their prices is really decent & I will indeed recommend this restaurant

Steak and pork tacos. Pork well seasoned and tender. Beef tasted gamy and a little dry. With a squeeze of lime juice it tasted better. The soft torillas are like home made with good texture and flavor. Horchata is very good... definitely made from scratch. Located in a light industrial area, tucked away.

We found the salsa to have the taste and consistency of tomato sauce ... Maybe they ran out and made a substitution the day we visited. Also, there was quite a bit of liquid running out of my chicken tacos making them difficult to eat. Im looking forward to giving them another try some other time.

One of the best spots for affordable, authentic, and great-tasting Mexican food in Dunedin. Cheaper than Casa Tina and much better in terms of portion size and flavor for most dishes. El Huarache has a home made feel and an honest, no frills appeal. This place is a hidden gem!

I like this place. Its bright and upbeat. Waitress this morning was almost unbelievably beautiful and very friendly. Food good, but the tacos werent doubled, and the cheese was shredded in larger strands. Still good and filled up three hungover bellies for $20.

Moderately air conditioned and futbol on the big screens, the authenticity goes beyond the cuisine. Dont let that turn you away. The server was very nice and spoke perfect English. The portions were plentiful and the food was amazing. We will be back.

Hidden, cute little hole in the wall. Server was polite and friendly. I had a chimichanga that was gigantic and delicious. Home made chips and spicy verde sauce. Sangria was sweet and perfect. Definitely saving this place to my favorites.
