Lived in this area for around 14 months now and have been waiting for a place like this to open up. We previously lived in GA and SC and there is an abundance of good and reasonable Mexican restaurants there, but when we came to the Gulf Coast of Florida, we had a difficult time finding one that was good, reasonable with great service. Well, we found the perfect place in Los Magueyes. Rafael and his brother own the place, nicest people you will ever meet (as well as the entire staff) and the food comes out hot, and delicious and at a very reasonable price. Also, they carry a large selection of draft beers (Modelo, Corona, Dos Equis and all the domestics too) at a very reasonable price, and they offer the 32 oz jumbo mug, something that most of the other Mexican restaurants in this area do not. They also have great flat screen TVs everywhere and the bar is very long, that is where we sit. We go there at least once a week to dine, never get tired of it, check it out as you will be disappointed!!

Stopped by for Lunch on a Thursday at 1pm. We were the only customers but I believe they have only been at this location for a couple of weeks/months. Server did not speak English very well (took 3 tries to understand she was asking for drink order). Steak Fajitas Quesdilla arrived sitting in steak juices so very soggy. Food was okay. We will give them another try before deciding. Went back on 2/2 for dinner. Found out same owners as Los Mexicanos in Tarpon Springs so the menu is similar. Had Chimis. Both Beef and Chicken were very salty. The fajitas salads steak was unseasoned and bland. So, the search for good mexican continues. ***/*****

Oh my goodness amazing. We had a small place that was like this but closed and we were so upset. We tried a couple of places and just didnt like them as much. We saw this place and we have waited for it to open. Well its open and we just ate here and oh my its amazing. As we were enjoying our food we heard more than one couple say that this place is just like being in Mexico. All i know is it is amzing and yummy. The staff was completely friendly and made us feel wecomed and like family. Please pass the word wonderful everything about this place. Sorry but its that good.

Read all the great reviews so we decided to try it out. Service was nothing to brag about by any means and i am pretty easy going. Had to ask the zero personality having host to at least take our drink orders because the wait staff was nowhere to be found then had to ask and re ask multiple times for our drinks our check etc. The food was nothing to write home about my wifes fajitas were quite tatsy but that was about it the other 3 plates were so so and we seriously are not picky people. Could have been an off night i dont know but we were not impressed at all.

So even though the service was quick and prompt. The food was barely average. I ordered the shredded beef tacos with rice and beans... my taco shells were stale and had no tomatoes or sour cream on the side for them. The salsa for the chips have been blended to a puree... it was like dipping your chips In liquid...My wife ordered the shredded beef enchiladas. My wife said they were ok, but not comparable to poncho villas in San Antonio, out s.r.52 near 75...so I give this place 2 thumbs down.... but go see for yourselves.....

I asked for chile relleno I get a poblano and the waitress argues with me that a chile relleno is not battered and fried with red sauce and cheese inside instead there is hamburger meat with no taste. They forgot my husbands beans and rice, In his tacos had hardly any meat inside. the fried ice cream is just a ball of ice cream not at all like the usual fried ice cream. The chips and salsa were stale and no taste. This place deserves less than a one star! We will never go back and we recommend nobody even tries!

Los Magueyes Mexican Grill, 7041 US-19, New Port Richey, FL 34652 WE JUST EAT THERE AND IT WAS DELICIOUS. Being from Colorado and California these eats are closest to home as I have had in Pasco County. Rafael waited on us and he offered samples of the various sauces that is served with the different meals. His favorite: tomatillo green sauce with a hint of garlic was my favorite too. Had the Carne Asada, most tender and flavorful. Margaritas were good. Prices are reasonably too. Try it.

Tried this for the first time after reading the reviews. We had a favorite Mexican restaurant that we went to all the time but it isnt what it used to be so we were looking for another good Mexican restaurant. This place is super clean and the food was great. The prices are great also. Service was great too. Owner came over and talked to us and was very polite and friendly. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 until we go back again. And we will.

We have eaten at this restaurant three times since they have opened. My family is from the Atlanta, GA area where Mexican restaurants are on almost every corner. We have had a difficult time finding a Mexican restaurant that is both tasty and inexpensive. Los Magueyes fits the bill on both accounts. The food is great and the beers and margaritas are priced right. We will definitely be back and hope Los Magueyes is here to stay.

We went at noon for lunch and there was no one there. I was concerned that meant it wasnt going to be good. I was wrong! Our server was so sweet and helpful and explained the process of making tamales to me. The food was delicious, portions were huge and the price was great! Will be back for sure!

This place is AWESOME! The inside is clean and updated. The prices are good and the food is on point. The service we get is quick and friendly. Once you enter, a host/hostess greats you almost immediately. I have been recommending this place to everyone!

Atmosphere was good. Service was good. However the food lacked flavor. Out of taco, enchilada and burrito all was stuffed with just chicken. No beans, rice, lettuce, tomato etc just plain chicken. All i ate was taco and wouldnt take my meal off the ticket.

Hard to find a great Mexican Restaurant in this area and this is by far is the most excellent one so far. There was not one thing wrong. Great service (Rafael), great food (chimichangas, queso, chips), great pricing/proportions, and atmosphere!
