DO NOT EAT HERE!!! DO NOT EAT AT THE NW D.C. BROOK-LAND STATION LOCATION. I literally just ordered from San Antonio Grill using UBEREATS and this has been THE WORST experience ever. I ordered a chicken fajita asking for a substitution of Steak and a pineapple juice. UberEATS delivers my food. I sit down hyped to eat and when I opened my order I found more than what I wanted. I did have Steak but I had chicken... oh no right?!? Thats not the BAD part that made this horrible. I opened my tortillas and I found a Bandaid in my food!!!! A bandaid .... this means ... No one was wearing gloves while my food was prepared!!!! I am disgusted! I called and spoke to the manager and all he said he could do was remake my food. Dude... why would I EVER trust yall to remake my food!!! I found a bandaid in my food which means that theyre not following food preparation regulations. Dont be at here yall... do not trust that the staff is using proper protocol to prepare your food. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I went here last night with my boyfriend that has been there before with coworkers. It was happy hour and pretty packed, but we were seated immediately. The waiter remembered my boyfriend and took our orders quickly. It was so quick I missed ordering food until later on. We ordered frozen margaritas. It was too sweet for my boyfriend so I took his and he ordered a regular margarita, which he liked better. My boyfriend hated mixed drinks, but didnt complain about their margaritas at all. Probably because they are so strong. Normally, I can definitely handle two frozen margaritas, however the ones here put me to sleep. There were very tasty. Definitely only order one small one if you plan to go to other places. I ordered the calamari and shrimp, which was only $8! It was really hot and fresh. It was a tad too much oil, which is one of the reasons I give them a 4 and not a 5. Also, the waiter moved too fast for me, but everything else was great!

Fairly lackluster Mexican joint, if you can really call it Mexican. Decent atmosphere, and one of the only decent dining options in Brookland - but if you are a Mexican food lover, youll likely be a little dissapointed. To be honest, the salsa tastes more like Marinara sauce to me, and they use cheddar cheese. Its not bad, they just dont use the right kind of ingredients, and its dissapointing. There are some Cuban/Puerto Rican dishes on the menu that are actually done fairly well. The service is not horrible, but not spectacular. Bottom line - if you want a place to hang out and get some food and beer/margaritas, it will do, but mainly because there arent other options around.

As a resident of Brookland NE I am very happy to welcome a new restaurant. We (my wife and 3yr old) recently visited SABG on Sunday evening. We were greeted by a friendly staff. The menu was chock-full of Tex Mex staples as well a few additions. When the food came it was hot and tasty. I ordered the chicken enchiladas, my wife had the quesadilla and my son had the chicken tenders from the kids menu. All of us were more than satisfied and even had the fried ice cream for dessert. Even though it might not get much traffic for non locals it would be a great local dining experience for Brooklanders and non Brooklanders alike.

I walked in and was greeted, sat at the bar; unfortunately it took the bar tender 15 min to acknowledge me. The bar was dirty with food and trash. I ordered a margarita, which came in a huge glass. If you dont feed the menu the bartender wont tell you its a Mega and so the happy hour price doesnt apply. Needlessly to say I wasnt happy. I really wish I was informed when I sat down. Bathrooms are horrible, music is nice and no one ever washes their hands.

This place has the worst service ever...for happy hour we order the mega margaritas and we told there were no glasses but shortly thereafter there were five to six trays of glasses going by. when we spoke to management they SUCKED and were timid in addressing the situation. Both our servers were rude and displayed an attitude. I would never eat here again...first and last time.

This is a wonderful bar. They serve most American bare fair in addition to Mexican food. Always look at there specials because they are delicious and rare. They also have some of the best enchiladas in the area. It gets crowded at night and it overwhelms the wait staff. Still an excellent place to eat and the food is never bland

Foods pretty good, drinks are good, prices are good. Theyve raised the prices on happy hour but still reasonable. Happy Hour is everyday 3pm-7pm. The Bacardi Mojito is incredible and the Jose Cuervo Margaritas are delicious. Try the tortilla soup

This has all I want in a basic Mexican restaurant--good salsa and chips, good food, the drinks youd expect, some Mexican beers and a few others. The staff is always friendly, the clientele diverse, and the prices are very reasonable.

Used to like them until my colleagues noticed a roach. Manager bent down between our tables killed it with a napkin. He offered us 10 percent off the bill. Ended up not paying. But I strongly believe I will not go back.

Great college bar and food! Only thing that I deducted a star for is weekend night service- very slow! Otherwise chill out and have fun on karaoke night with Catholic University students in a clean establishment!

Neighborhood bar offering Mexican, Peruvian cuisine. Also surprisingly have Italian selections on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The "Grande" margaritas for 13 dollars are a decent deal for a DC establishment.

Great deal on happy hour drinks and appetizers. The mango and lime margarita are excellent! Can become busy, we had one waitress but she did an amazing job with what seemed to be a full place!

Great South American food at affordable prices. Service has always been great for me. Waitresses are super nice and able to accommodate requests. They have one of the best margaritas in DC.

Extremely loud- no way to have a conversation. My friend says it is not always like that but the 4pm crowd must have been celebrating something good.
