It is a great carryout place. I generally order on Tuesday or Wednesday nights because I find the food tastes better these nights. It is generally ready in 10/15 min top. I am a local and I thought that after a few years I should give them some credits by rating them. The only reason why it is not 5 star it is because the waiting area could be nicer and I wish the quality was more consistent on other nights. Other than that the people in the kitchen and at the checkout are nice and I like the food!

This carryout is dirty and unkept. I order 2 Shrimp Egg Roll & 3 chicken wings with fries the wings where very small unclean with feathers, they also had foul smell. I paid 25cent extra for shrimp it had 3 micro shrimp in the entire roll. Requested refund the Oriental lady was rude. She didnt want to give me a refund, then open the door (40 degrees outside colder inside) since they had two huge flies they just chased out the kitchen. WILL NOT COME HERE AGAIN.

Very horrible experience with the customer service representative. A lady answered the phone immediately she heard my accent she said me on a very loud unclear pitchy tone of voice I cannot understand you, oh we dont deliver food at Northwest DC, we dont sell curry shrimp, you know what we are too busy bye.

There were still feathers on my chicken wings we almost threw up when we saw it. The mumbo sauce tasted off. The general tsos chicken tasted WAY off my bf threw it away. All that was left that we thought was edible was plain white rice. After a few bites into that I found a strand of plastic in it.

I love this place, the food is really great and inexpensive, the orange chicken is a must try, you can actually taste the oranges that its marinated in, also the best steak -n- cheese on this side of town.

the Mayflower is the only seriously vegetarian friendly restaurant on all of Mt. P St. - you likey orange chicken but cant do the chicken? try the orange bean curd and let it blow your mind. nummies.
