This review is based on 2x seperate visits. The first time we just popped in to grab a take out Hot Chocolate & Latte, grabbed our drinks an headed on our way to discover they were both luke warm, didnt have time to go back and complain. Always open to given a place the benefit of the doubt we returned a week later this time for lunch. Although not busy service was slow, it also took them 4 attempts to get my order correct...each time they added chicken to a vegetarian request . Only one person seemed to hav ea grip on what should be going on an she was trying her best to sort out all the problems which were were going on around her. ( ours was not the only wrong order) The food itself was actually good, particularly the soup. -- really need to work on the service.

Hey everyone I eats here at cosi every other day and Ms.. Valery have been very helpful And extra nice if its not right she will make it Right before walking out her doors of cosi I cant ask for nothing better then a good Chicken salad and a soft slush she makes the Whipp cream by scrip and YES its her own receipt so Please check her out at the Downtown location she will take good care of u and not to forget she have a great team that Works very well down there I have never been disrepected by any of them so I am proud to say to America that we all can com together I eats here and so should u and I will not be disappointed by any of them so yeahhhhhhaa to my Favorite girl Ms.. Absolute Racist Gem of Washington DC. Not a soul in line, hardly anyone eating in there, yet even though they saw us walk up to the counter, they wouldnt serve us or even acknowledge us and turned around and walked away from us. We waited for about 5 minutes before we realized that no one was going to take our order and we walked out and went down the street to Taylor Gourmet and had a decent experience. The black ladies behind the counter should be fired for treating fellow Americans the way they did. After reading the reviews it seems like they dont like serving white people. Entitled racist fast food employees.

Service was pretty terrible. I waked up to the counter and said hello and was met with a blank stare. I even waited a few seconds to see if she would maybe say something and she just stared at me. I ordered the turkey Brie sandwich and watched the girl pour sauce all over the bread, throw one piece of Brie on it, stick it in the oven and yell NEXT. I also watched another girl roll her eyes at a customer for wanting a raspberry lemonade because she had already put it away. Mind you, this was two whole hours before closing time. My friends sandwich was burnt to a crisp.

There was a big line when I came in - not an issue per se - but they were alternating between taking orders every ten minutes and making food. You had to wait in line to order and then in a different line to pay, which was manned every 5-10 minutes. After receiving my food half an hour later, the sandwich I received was made incorrectly. As I was about to leave, they called me up again and I had to explain that I already received my order... Apparently they had made it twice.

I like Cosis breakfast sandwiches and this one is close to my apartment, but unfortunately this one is just bad. The service is poor - their employees dont even know their own menu and appear confused when you ask for an item off it and ask you to clarify multiple times - and today I went to get breakfast and they were simply out of eggs. Id go to one of the other breakfast spots in the area to avoid a headache.

Poorly staffed. Very long lines at lunch time. There was one person making sandwiches & one person at the register when I came in at lunch time. Someone who appeared to be from management helped make a sandwich but then he moved to the registers because the line at the only open register was getting very long. Good food, but very slow.

Great little place, just dont expect a whole lot in terms of the menu. If youre traveling in the area and going to the museums its a great little place to stop and grab something, nothing to write home about. Seating can be tight so you might need to stand/walk and eat. Prices were not awful considering their location.

A great variety of healthy and tasty options in affordable prices. The margarita flatbread pizza and hummus & veggie sandwich were really good. One star cut due to the slightly dirty floor and the disappointing orange juice which was packed like fresh orange juice but turns out to be the carbonated one.

The food was absolutely superb. The only problem was the customer service. I got what I wanted, however I didnt feel that I was welcome in the store. Nothing serious, otherwise it was a great food experience for me.

Service was nice, extremely slow though and then the sandwich was cold in the middle still. Not even lukewarm, just cold. At least the coffee was warm and pretty good, but I wont be back to this location.

Good, tasty dishes at a reasonable price for downtown DC. Counter ordering is not well thought out if you are ordering from different parts of the menu. Vegetarian and non-veg options. Would go back.

Eat here countless times per year. Good healthy tasty options continue to please. The "wheat" bread is actually multi-grain, not wheat. Have them go light on the salad dressing.

Servers didnt speak English. One of our party received the wrong order. Overall dingy atmosphere. Portions very small. Sandwiches and curry were good. Soup was mediocre.

Tried the pesto chicken sandwich, pepperoni pizza, and Greek salad. All were wonderful! It wasnt busy at the time (noon on Saturday) and the food came out quickly.
