I am a HUGE Indian foodie, and India Palace did not disappoint! I am new to the area, and decided to go here based on the great reviews. (Besides the stupid person who gave it two stars without even stepping foot inside the restaurant). I have since been back several times. Everything we have ordered has been fresh and delicious. The samosas are amazing, they are the REAL DEAL, made from scratch and not frozen from a bag. The naan melts in your mouth. All the entrees our party has tried have been phenomenal, and the paneer selections especially good. I highly recommend the hot Chai tea. Again, the real deal, not from a packet but had real spices. The galub juman is a sweet way to end a wonderful meal. The owners (who act as hostess, waitstaff, and chef) are delightful, and take good care of their customers. As for the parking, just park around the corner. No big deal. Weve never had a problem in this neighborhood.

I tried to go there today for the lunch buffet since so many people rated it highly. This restaurant is on the end in a short shopping strip - right at a very busy intersection at a 4 lane highway - in a not-so-great neighborhood. Parking is difficult as you have to head in at an angle and spots are narrow. There was one spot left but tight and I didnt stay because the car next to me was parked at an angle and I was afraid they would scrape me backing out. Also, the neighboring stores dont have such a great facade and as I said, the neighborhood is iffy. Try backing out of the parking space and watching for oncoming traffic behind you, and also coming toward you from up a blind hill, and from around the tight corner by India Palace. Not worth my peace of mind. Sorry about that. There is Nirvana, India Grille and Taste of India whch are fine.

The review below by "Pradeep Veerabhadraiah" is complete bullshit, hes one of those trust-fund rich kid shmucks that I see in the Palace every once in a while that come in and treat Pinky like a slave, and she probably laughed him off like the spoiled brat he is. Ive eaten at India Palace hundreds of times..used to live right upstairs and theres no where on earth I feel more welcome and at home. Its my favorite restaurant on earth. Pinky and Sushil are lovely, lovely people and they will bend over backwards to make sure you are well-fed and happy. I cant say enough good things about this place. If you are within a hundred miles of Wilmington Delaware you owe it to yourself to try their food-

Food was HORRIBLE. . Not worth of paying so much for the quantity and quality of food they provide.... No authentic Indian taste.. Bread was OK... but rest everything was pathetic... Ambience was dull with very low light.. you cant even see the color of food and the plates/spoons priovded were very old... No HOT WATER in restroom even in cold winter... I felt like hating Indian food after eating in this restaurant... I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE....NEVER RECOMMEND to anyone. ..

By far the best Indian food in the Delaware & Pennsylvania area or anywhere for that matter. Friendly owners who make all the food themselves. Chicken Korma is my favorite paired with a garlic naan. Anything you have is delicious and you can ask for the food in a variety of different spice levels from mild to extra spicy. Try this little gem and you will not be disappointed. Im always looking for a place that can beat the taste of their food, and I cannot find one.

Being a Brit I am a huge Indian Food Lover! I travel all the way from Springfield, PA to go to India Palace as it is the BEST in the Tri-State area. Lovely to dine-in and take out. Staff are very friendly! Park around the corner if you cant park out front. Dont be fooled by the neighborhoods on the drive in- the store is right in front of a fairly nice neighborhood and is essentially the end of Wilmington and the beginning of Newport, DE.

Small buffet but its okay because its delicious! The food is homemade, the naan is fresh, the price is fair, and the owners are friendly and observant. My husband and I come here several times a month for their lunch buffet, but weve had their dinner too (menu) and its even better. Try the tikka masala and vindaloo if you stop by for dinner (and if you like spicy). Highly recommended Indian restaurant.

Despite what a couple of the reviewers say, this place has some of the most authentic Indian food around. It also consistently rates as the best Indian food in Delaware by Delaware Today magazine. I have to agree with them -- the food is fantastic and, again, authentic. They have had the same cook for the entirety of their existence (some 15-20 years?). You cant go wrong with India Palace.

I would rate it in negative , if possible. First of all, the food was very very pathetic. We called and asked before If they prepare dry paneer tikka and the lady told Yes and charged close to $15 for that useless food. One of the worst experiences ever! They call themselves Aunthetic Indian food and My reply to them is that first learn the world " Indian". Totally useless!

I love the dinners here. They are simple and wholesome and Pinky and Sushil are great hosts (and owners and cooks, etc.). This restaurant has been a mainstay on MaryLand avenuve for the past 25/years. There are newer restaurants in DE. Try them and more than likely you will come back here for a simple and straightforward fare.

Great food, amazing onion bhadji, fries paneer, Saar paneer, chicken masala, mango chutney to start; will customize a dish to what you want, I cant say enough good things!! Must try!!!!

My co-workers took me to the Indian Palace restaurant for my birthday. This was the 1st time I’d been there. The food, atmosphere and wait staff is GREAT. I and my friends will start going there on a regular basis from now on. My favorite was the chicken curry rice.

The food is fantastic and the service is great. Its true that parking can be difficult, but the food is worth the challenge. Someone introduced this restaurant to me a year ago and Ive been hooked ever since. I take friends there since I know they will love it.

Ive lived in Wilmington for just over a year and Ive been here at least 7 times! Amazing food, very friendly people, just an overall great place! You wont have problems with noise in this small but cozy restaurant...$10 lunch buffet is in a league on its own!

My favorite Indian restaurant in Wilmington. Food is good and its run by very nice people. IMO, the two best dishes, which I alternate between, are chicken makhni & chicken shahi korma. If you like rice dishes, get the lamb biryani.
