In town on business and needed to pick up a quick dinner. Love Indian food but we dont have any Indian places at home, so when I found Zaikka online it was a no-brainer. Found the Market St location with no problem, easy street parking right out front. The server was very helpful explaining what my options were and theyre very flexible, letting you split toppings half-and half etc so you can try different things, or even splitting your "base" (rice/naan bread/salad greens). As other reviewers have noted, its just like a Chipotle or Qdoba but with Indian food. Had Tofu Korma on half, and Masala Paneer on the other (I LOVE Indian Paneer cheese; and no, Im not vegetarian, but Indian is a great option for those who are), both over heavenly basmati rice, plus some great naan bread and an aloo tiki on the side. The various toppings/condiments for the entree were great also. Super-quick service and great prices. Oh and yes, the food was terrific also! Will definitely stop here again when Im in town and in need of a quick dinner! Id love to see this restaurant expand to other cities as well.

On a Friday while waiting around for our show to start at The Grand, me and the boy were looking for a place to eat, and unbeknownst to us, everywhere on Market Street closes before 6pm on Fridays. Why, I will never know. We were almost at the end of the line when we came up on Zaikka - I was for sure that I was not going to find anything to eat, as Id never had Indian food before. Boy was I wrong! The extremely friendly staff let me pretty much try everything and explained that what we Americans think of as "curry" is not how they make their sauces. I found something to eat - chicken with spinach curry sauce on naan with an assortment of toppings. It was really good! I was so surprised at the quality of the food and the helpfulness of the staff that I put in a call to my Dad - a curry fan - to let him know about the place. Give it a try.

I went for the first time yesterday and was very impressed - great food, cheap prices and friendly staff. Theyre serving style is sort of like the Indian food version of Chipotle, where you can customize your dish, which is prepared right in front of you. Customers have a choice of different curry and meat/tofu options that can be served over rice, naan or salad greens. Then you can choose chutneys and toppings. If youre accustomed to good Indian food, you wont be disappointed. And if youre a newbie, Zaikka is a good place to start out. For a $7.00 meal, you cant go wrong. Im looking forward to going there on my lunch break. They also serve beer and wine, which would make it a good place to go for a happy hour or informal get-together.

What a great place!! The only way I can describe it is as an Indian version of Chipotle --- you choose your meat and curry sauce and pile on the condiments to your liking --- only WAY more choices than Chipotle, and immensely more tasty. You can see the owners take great pride in their food and space. Everything we had was delicious and everything tasted fresh and hot despite being pre-prepared. We had naan and samosas as sides, all the chutneys were wonderful. And they have beer! The dining area was clean and beautifully decorated, with colorful art all around. Im so happy we gave it a try - and very happy to find an affordable Indian place close to home!

I went here today and was very dissatisfied i got the paneer bowl with the spinach sauce and butter sauce. the spinach sauce comes with the bowl and is extremely flavorless, the butter sauce is a extra dollar if you wanna add it. i was very disappointed when i realized i had barely a full scoop of sauce when your supposed to get two scoop and i paid for that. they have some good flavored food but need to work on there costumer service and portions.I fell scared to ask for more because they give a stink look when you do even though they give you a small amount for the price you pay.

I love the cafe style of this restaurant. The helpful woman behind the counter, immediately asked if I was a vegetarian/vegan, and offered samples of various foods and spice levels to see what I wanted to try... Everything was very tasty. Ended up with Kadai Paneer Wrap which was pretty damn good! I will definitely return in the near future, after 3 pm to try their various small plate items. Other staff members were friendly as well, always asking if we were enjoying our food and checking to see if we needed anything, very different from your typical cafe establishment.

Love that Wilmington has a fast casual Indian place! Serving wise it reminds me a lot of Chipotle, I can mix a lot of yummy things together and get exactly what I want. Spice levels vary, but the hot dishes are strong enough without being over powering. Flavors are fresh and bright despite items being served buffet style. The owner is always friendly and happy to serve good food.

Food is not fresh and not cooked daily, Frozen and reheat. I ordered chat and asked if it was prepared today and the staff confidently said that the food is prepared everyday. When started eating I can definitely tell you that its the frozen. When confronted with the staff they did not speak anything. Never recommend this restaurant.

Terrible experience. Got food Allergy today after eating Chicken Makhani here. Suffering from rashes all over the body. I had the same dish last couple times when I visited this place but this time I got some reaction on my body due to this dish. That gave me burning rashes all over my body. Never gonna come here again.

Ideal place for a quick bite. They serve food which resembles home style cooked food. They serve some typical Maharashtrian delights like "Bombay sandwich" and "vada pav". Liked everything that we ordered. I;ve been there more than once and the food has always been delicious. Highly recommended!

The owner was friendly and the place appeared to be clean and well kept. However, this is not authentic Indian food. The food was terrible! How can you not have curry, white rice, or roti?!

Really liked it, this was only second exposure to Indian food. Zaikka made ordering easy for me. I really enjoy the food there, I go at least once a week for lunch. I highly recommend!

This was my first time there today. Ive never had a problem with Indian food in general but maybe the chicken was a bad batch this time. I got very uneasy and threw everything up.
