I love trying different varieties of ethnic foods as an alternative to the traditional (and many times boring) American cuisine. If you ever want to experience one of the finest Indian food restaurants in the greater Lehigh Valley, I suggest Clove! The wide variety of entrees and sides, the always kind and pleasant service and interaction provided by all employees (whether you pick up your food to go as I usually do, or eat in at the restaurant) is literally outstanding. And above all the quality of the food is simply fantastic! The portions are great, the flavor is clearly authentic and made from scratch (not at all pre-packaged or simply reheated) and the overall ambiance of the restaurant is really enjoyable. In my opinion, the Clove Fine Indian Restaurant is a jewel of east Allentown and the entire Lehigh Valley!

The Best Food I am from New York which clearly means that I am foodie and picky. I have gone to so many indian restaurants in city and have tasted their food but this restaurant has won my heart. So we were staying in pa for one night and wanted to eat indian food. I looked up on google and found this restaurant. The food is unbelievably tasty as we ordered Dal Makhni , butter chicken , kebabs and fish fried. The food wasnt only tasty and delicious it also has all the ingredients. Its run and owned by a family which makes it very good coz they are not just doing their job they actually doing everything with their heart. If you belong to north india and want to have delhi taste then this is the place to go. I wish them all the best.

I expected more based on the other reviews. The smell of incense is pretty strong when you walk in, and the place isnt all that clean. This is a picture of the wall next to me; it was splattered with dried on food. Yuck! The food portions were pretty good size, but just so-so compared to other Indian food Ive had. If you want good Indian food try Sangam in Ithaca near Cornell University.

North Indian Punjabi Style - WET biryani rice :( How come biryani be wet??? It has to be authentic Hyderabadi style. Variety in buffet is low.No appetizers in buffet. ( I mean I went of weekend even then less, weekend variety is usually high) Potato did not boil :( Chicken was hard in "butter chicken". Not at all expecting this from what I see Punjabi buffet.

Best Indian buffet in the area by far. They arent afraid of the spice, but there is always a dish or two that is mild for your less adventurous friends. Never exactly the same dishes, but Ive never had *anything* that wasnt seriously tastified. A good balance of vegetarian and meat dishes. The goat curry is outstanding. I wish I could eat here everyday.

Went there last night for Dinner. A clean, family owned and operated restaurant. Service was all smiles. We ordered the Tandoori chicken for main and Ras Malai for dessert. Loved them both. Their garlic nan was one of the best Ive had. Food is Halal which is a plus, not that it would have changed my opinion of place. Sure to go back there soon.

Really good ambience, clean tables, well organized and very friendly staff. Also the food was very good quality, gotta say it caught me off guard. Didnt expect this quality food. Our server (Ravi) was very respectful, polite and just outstanding. Would highly recommend and definitely come again. Gralic naan is amazing. Ask for Ravi when you go.

We couldnt have been happier with our experience at Clove. Everything was high quality, flavorful, and authentic. We eat tons of Indian food in many states and are very critical of the dishes. For us to give five stars is a huge compliment. Decor, cleanliness, and service were all just as wonderful as the delicious food. Well done all around!

I enjoyed this place a lot. My experience at Spice India was far worst than my experience here. I ordered the tiki Marsala, spicy. And let me tell you they actually made it spicy, delicious and hot. Oh and the naan was on point with fresh garlic and oil. The place is byob and they have a great lunch or dinner buffet. Enjoy!

First impression, place looks like it needs a thorough cleaning. Garlic naan was mushy and soft, but I did get it to go - maybe it was rapped in foil too soon. I havent tried the curry chicken yet because the naan was so gross. Mushy w/ no flavor. I lost appetite. Looks like a family restaurant, the kind I like to support.

The Indian food was fine. Ive only lived in cities with plentiful access to Indian food and am therefore not blown away by this place. I am not sure that there are many other Indian options around in the part of the country. The food was not bad, just not memorable. The staff were very nice as was the service.

Very nice and poite service! Good quality, many options for Vegetarians! All vegetables tasted good and that too without much oil. I was pleasantly surised to get buffet option for Dinner. Tandoori roti had good taste and texture. I will go there again next time I am in town

My husband and I visited the restaurant last night. The customer service was outstanding and the food was delicious. I do not know much about Indian food, but it was a great cultural experience. We plan on visiting again and definitely recommend the restaurant.

Wastage of money.. never tasted such an awful biryani...service is too late.. had to wait for 45 min after placing the order.. the waitress came with only single dish out of four.. she took another 20 minutes to get remaining dishes... wouldnt recommend

Service and smiles are absolutely great. Regrettably food is awful. I believe they just heat up frozen packed food and serve. That too not well cooked at all. If one has to eat preserved frozen food why visit a restaurant and spend a lot of dough?

Worst Indian food I ever had....Dal palak was more like a dried red chilli gravy....and chicken biryani - its tomoto rice mixed with chicken pieces...this is the only place I saw green peppers(capsicum) in chicken biryani...very limited menu....

Went there for buffet. The chaat was very good. Good deserts, yummy kheer and chaas. But main course wasnt so good. Average food, mostly americanised. The chicken in tika masala is like rubber. Good for the price. Had buffet for $10.

Everything I have had here has been excellent. Service was quick and friendly. When we asked for boxes to take home the generous portions they even offered to give us extra rice. Sure it costs next to nothing but what a nice gesture!

Lousy food. Please please dont go here. As i sit here for lunch, i have to put the food aside and post this opinion. As an Indian i would hate for someone to think this is exceptional food, when i would barely grade it edible.

Saturday lunch buffet was KILLER! Got there when they opened so it was fresh, great variety with plenty of vegetarian options. Delicious deserts on the buffet as well. A hidden oasis of Indian cuisine in Allentown.

We go for the buffet on Saturdays. There is a good variety of dishes available to sample. The wait staff are very attentive. This location is very open a bright compared to the location in Phillipsburg.
