Fathers Day was a little different, eaten here many times over & to witness waiters & waitress fluster was unreal. I ordered shrimp basket, took 35 min. shrimp were dark, hard & oily. (No crowd), atleast 10 wait staff literally on shift. Some staff appeared to be tired or something. Woman across from me wated atleast 25 min. before her order was taken. There was discrepancy as to whos table it was w/ 10 wait staff on break or just not observant, her waiter looked liked they were gonna pass out or fall, sweating profusely. Entrance had fallen off also it was dirty. We all can have a bad day, it was a sad commentary to then stand at register listening to staff straightened out an over charge, staff forgot to apologize to customers in line to pay, the actual customer apologized, they left discussing the over charge. Whew!!!

Superb diner on the outskirts of Newport. The staff members are friendly and knowledgeable about items and recommendations from the menu and the atmosphere is family-oriented. I savored the tasty pancakes and outstanding scrambled eggs with American cheese. Breakfast there is simply the best! Sundays are very busy so expect a 15-20-minute wait to be seated, but once my friends and I had sat down, ordered our meals, and eaten, it had truly been a remarkable experience. Located on Route 4 and Maryland Avenue near Wilmington, Cosmos is a fine diner. It would be cool to be Wilmingtons first 24-hour diner because Wilmington does not have one.

Decent food, good prices. Kind of seems like every waitress is annoyed of your presence though. Was greeted today with an abrupt "what can I get you." And when she had forgotten to bring us something we ordered and we politely let her know, she looked frustrated that I even brought it up and said simply "ok." No apology or anything. Didnt smile the whole time, slammed our food down on the table, and brought our check while we were still eating. All I can say is wow. Food was good though, so I cant blame the diner for that but every waitress Ive ever had had been way too surly, so I have to go with 3 stars. Sorry cosmos.

Just had another great meal at Cosmos. Ive been coming here for a few years pretty regularly, some of the waitresses even know what I want to order before I even sit down, cant beat the steak and eggs! The place is always really clean and the waitresses are always nice. I try to make it here at least once a week either for breakfast or dinner and theyre always spot on. I had the salmon last week, it was cooked perfectly and the sides were good too. I always like these family type restaurants, you can tell when they really care about their customers and they really give you that vibe here. Thanks Cosmos!!

I love the food and typically the staff is polite and accommodating. Last night was the worst experience I have ever had at this restaurant. We arrived seated right away, drink order promptly taken and served to the table, placed our food order, never received our food. Sat there for over a half hour without our food, so we left. Very disappointed. It will be a long while before I go back again and when I do I will be very picky about the server..

your server is everything, I tip well and say thank-you, Maybe she had a bad day or problems at home. I am 50 and my other two companions are 65 and 75. We all agreed she was rude! Food was great. The corn on the cob was ice cold. We needed it to be warmed up. Another waitress helped us. The gentleman who seated us was polite as usual.

Its a pretty nice diner. I had the pancakes with strawberry compote (they also had blueberry). Pancakes are HUGE, and it comes with whipped butter and nice whip cream. Its not a must go-to spot, but if you need a solid, cheap place to eat it - this is a good spot. Id go there again.

I love Cosmos! Its a low-key atmosphere, but the food is delicious and the portions are good-sized. Friendly. Its a good place to meet up with friends or family to talk and sit for awhile. Also, make sure to try the desserts! Great baklava.
