On Tuesday May 23, 2017 my husband Jesse and I stopped at Viewmont Diner for a meal. I have Celiac Disease so I asked for a gluten free menu and was told this diner does not have a gluten free menu. I looked over the menu and decided a hamsteak dinner with mashed potatoes, no gravy, with a green toss salad and corn as my vegetable. My meal arrived quickly and as I was going to place my mashed potatoes on my plate with my hamsteak I noticed a black thing in the mashed potatoes. I scooped it out and was grossed out when I saw legs on it. I showed it to the waitress, she took it to the cook and manager and returned saying the cook and manager decided it was an eye of a potato. By this time Iam upset as the manager has not made an appearance to discuss this with me. I told the waitress I have worked in food service before and the manager should be handling this not her. She went to talk with the manager and when she came back I was told the manager would comp our bill for my food order, but I would have to return my hamsteak, potatoes (no problem) corn and salad. I picked up my plate and handed it to the waitress. She took it to the kitchen, asked if she could bring me something else. I said no.The manager on duty should have taken care of me the customer. Without customers she would not have a job! I would not recommend this restaurant.

Good morning, I just returned home from the viewmont diner @ 2:20am October 11, 2015 and had a great experience with the food and the server Dooreen I believe (Curley hair white woman) was very good as well but when I received a (hand written) bill which was $48 & change ... for a fish sandwich, burger, salad & two shakes. I added the amount which seemed a lot. I went up to the counter and ask Doreen why is my bill so high & it didnt add up she then said "it shouldnt be so much" and added it again which added up to $35. What is this??? I dont like to assume but I wonder how many people is this happening to and they are not paying attention. I am from out of town & this is a bad experience and a disappointment for such a nice diner. This is robbing your customer blind if not for the diner its for tips. I was going to give her a better tip but my husband give her $2 instead. Change this please.

Went there late at night for food with the family. We all had burgers. Waitress almost screwed up one order, mine was medium instead of well-done, another was burnt instead of medium. Coffee was oooooold. I had the stuffed bacon cheddar burger, bacon was burnt and the cheese melted away, probably on the skillet. The burger itself was awful. Waitress heard us complaining about the coffee and said "I didnt do it" and stomped off. We wernt even talking to her o.O Then when we went to pay someone I went with complained and she called us MISERABLE. YES. I am miserable! Save yourself the stomach pains and go to the Dennys next door.

If i want breakfast and im looking to eat till im stuffed im gonna get the "big breakfast" i think its called. Texas style french toast. Eggs the way you like em. Hashbrowns. It makes me want to go right now! It is definitely a diner so just know that going in that that is the way things get served up. Aside from that its clean and service is quick. It will be busy on the weekends just advance warning. But theres a reason why.

I was there yesterday. I specifically ordered eggs toast and scrapple. I dont like the homefries so didnt order them. When my food was brought there were homefries on the plate and when i got the bill I was charged for them. When I told the waitress at the register she said well you didnt say anything when I brought your food. Be careful what you order and are charged for. I wont go there again.

My husband and I have officially claimed this diner to be a nice retreat for us; when we can get there. the food is varied, mostly American cuisine, but the portions are ample and well priced. The staff is courteous and kind. The place is spotless. Pair all of this with home baked desserts, quality service, and convenience, we both think that the Viewmont Diner is a wonderful place to dine. Enjoy!

Loved it so much that I came back as soon as I was back in town for the LEGIT gyros and gyro platters. Shaved from a spit like the old world - no "gyro steakums" on the griddle. Ask for extra tatziki too because its great too! Everyone else seemed to enjoy their typical diner fare too!! Will make this a regular stop when heading anywhere near the Viewmont Mall

a nice place to stop for a bite!, my bf loves the ham egg and cheese stuffed croissant sandwich, depending on the time of day i get the american BBQ burger for dinner..or lunch, or pancakes and eggs for breakfast..some of the food is a bit over greasey...but we will always enjoy stuffing our faces and clogging our arteries here :)

The food is so good, and was served very promptly. But then the waitress vanished. We thought we were going to have to go to someone to ask for our bill. Turns out she was just having a "lazy day" and was chatting with the other servers. Um, ok. Soooo, great food, but hope you dont get that waitress!

This diner is great! I live in Brooklyn and we travel to Binghamton on a regular basis. We have made stopping here a tradition. The breakfast is wonderful. The home fries are a buttery delight. The service is always excellent. This diner is a must if you are on a road trip anywhere in this area!!!

Not 1 to judge but was discusted by waffle house on Davis St. (see my name, ull see my post & time, enough will be said there). Viewmont diner was fantastic! Large food quantity & delicious. The waitress(Doreen) was polite, respectfull, awesome & down to earth. Definitely coming back.

This place is so good. Very unexpected. The service is on point, friendly and fast. The menu is very diverse and I love how they have pictures of everything. And of course the portions are huge. What else you want?? Props to the manager for hiring good quality people.

We love this diner. Great food, excellent service, good prices. We eat here at least once a week. Its the only place we like to eat out. We also met Kurt Aron from wnep here one night. He shares the enjoyment of the breakfeast feast for supper like our son does.

Best place for late-night diner grub. Their desserts are a thing of beauty and can are as filling as a full-blown meal. Stick to traditional diner options and skip the meal options. When in doubt, get a chicken gyro with fries. You wont be disappointed.

Ordered country fried steak with sausage gravy and 3 eggs with hash browns and sausage gravy tasted terrible must be from a can and hash browns potatoes where like mush and way too greasy worst money I ever spent SAVE YOURSELF AND GO TO DENNYS NEXT DOOR
