I usually LOVE eating at the Trivet on a Saturday or Sunday morning. The omlettes, homefries and pancakes are pretty good. I think I only ate there twice for lunch-chicken ceaser wrap and the athenian wrap was pretty good as well. However my experience this past Saturday has my furious! My husband and I went for brunch and he ordered an omlette and homefries. They brought his omlette out w/o the homefries and waited and waited for them. By the time they came out his eggs were cold. We were not asked what to drink right away. The hostess came over after awhile for the drink order. Then when our server Toni came she did not apologize for the wait. she gave us a quick and cold hi and a blank stare. She did not check back ONE TIME to see how we were or if we needed anything. Didnt give a refill on coffee until her whole section left and we were left trying to flag her down. She was VERY rude. When we went to pay the hostess asked how everything was and I said food was ok, service was not. She didnt even acknowledge I said something. I used to enjoy coming here, Im not sure what happened...or if its just the shift that was on. Not happy!!

Ive been to both trivet locations in the lehigh valley and both share similar qualities. The service is either really good or really bad there doesnt seem to be an in between. In my latest visit we were seated quickly and sat for 5 minutes before seeing a waitress. I was ready to pack up and leave when she showed up. I say to myself, maybe she was in the bathroom, etc...she took our order quickly and our food came fast. The food was decent and the second cup of coffee was better than the first(slightly old taste with some burnt notes..old burnt not Starbucks burned beans flavor ). While quick with the service the waitress lacked personality which changes my overall opinion of the visit. Upon observation most of the staff were bland and lacking some basic customer service basics. I still gave her 15% but usually tip better reciprocating my impression of customer service and interaction. I will not return to this trivet in the future.

Food was good but obviously sat under a warming light long enough for my beef stew gravy to develop a skin. The front room I sat in, near the counter and register was full, Saturday night crowd. My server seemed pleasant but overwhelmed and confused. My salad came out first, no silverware, I had to ask a passing buss for a set, knife and fork only. My beef stew came next. No spoon. Had to ask one of the several useless, not sure what their duties or job titles should be, staff members I guess. By this time I was disappointed and sorry I chose the trivet. Now a man I assume had some authority, he didnt introduce himself, he asked how I was doing. I said to him " not good the service is fragmented and i would like my side dish and some dinner rolls to go with my stew". This may all sound trivial but this place missed the whole point of why people go to diners. I will not return. The Lehigh Valley has many diners.

Food was subpar at best. Jason the cook struggled to make the signature burger which entailed mushrooms swiss and bacon. I asked for no bun no fries sub salad due to my diet. He didnt put bacon on the burger gave American cheese and made sure the burger was on a bun served with fries. The only reason I tipped the girl who waited on me was because she just got stiffed twice for slow food and poor service. They need to read the tickets before taking the food out the window since the cook cant read. The waitresses need to stop gossiping about non work related topics in front of guests. No manager on duty to make sure the kitchen is running correctly. I would never set foot in this place again. Not worth gambling on the food they bring out the kitchen.

Got here waited almost 20 minutes to have a table.. There were 6 of us.. We waited for almost 20 minutes to have our order taken.. Our waitress only came back twice, once to take our order and once to give us or food.. We had salad, spaghetti, wings, and cheese steak and a Paninis and a sandwich... Chicken for the salad was under cooked, the spaghetti was tasteless, on top of that bathrooms were disgusting.. And we have multiple empty cups of sodas not once did our waitress come and ask us for a refill.. Our opinion she did not deserve a tip.. But we gave her $2.00... If this restaurant is such a wonderful place why is service so horribly please fix it.. I will be deciding to go some where else

My husband and I along with our 3yr old went for breakfast and received the worst service from a waitress named Paulette, she rushed our entire visit she was very short with us, but would hold much nicer conversations with other customers. As I looked around I realized we were the only Spanish family in the Restaurant. I would hate to think that was the reason but..... As I went to pay The woman at the register asked me how everything was, I told her how my experience went and it didnt seem to faze her one bit, however the woman who seated me did apologize on behalf of the waitress and possibly the woman at the register. Needless to say, I will never go back there ever again!

Although our waitress and the food were great, I am not sure I will ever set foot in this establishment again. The woman who checked us out was EXTREMELY rude. Apparently I had read the total wrong and didnt give her the proper change. She absolutely tried to make an idiot out of me because of this and I was SHOCKED. My whole working career Ive worked in the customer service industry. Everyone has a bad day. However, I would NEVER think of taking my misery out on a paying customer. Extremely disappointed. I hope they put more thought into the staff they hire to be the face of their business, because she alone will turn business away!

Friendly staff, GREAT food, and a wicked clean place make this my favorite diner in the Lehigh Valley. This is not your typical "greasy spoon" diner. It is immaculate. I mean as clean as an operating room, and the food is not your typical diner food. High quality, FRESH ingredients make this place our familys goto for any meal. The only drawback is that the menu is massive. Not good for the indecisive. Highly recommended the gyro wrap.

Never seen a Philly cheese steak covered with marinara so you cant pick it up. Soda is 1 free refill only, and the sodas are very small. Cole slaw was delicious, and I usually hate cole slaw. Service was fair. Oddly enough, they have wifi, but the waitresses dont know the password. What gives with that? Menu is huge; 21 different types of paninis, if you can imagine that. No biscuits and gravy. It was ok, not great.

The Trivet on Tilghman is one of the best diners in the area. While it may be something of a greasy spoon (I once arrived at 2am to find the hostess asleep on the counter), it has a sort of charm. The food is good, the prices are reasonable, and the menu is extensive. Its only real negative is its location. Leaving the parking lot is difficult, and it is directly under some loudly-crackling industrial power lines.
