Actually, I think they were ok until recently. But like many others said the cleanliness and ambiance sucks which they can improve ! I have said to myself I wouldnt go to these people anymore (not for the cleanliness part) but for their being dishonest and lairs. There was something that they said is free, I think the pudding. When I went there they packed my order in a plastic bag and tied the knot.(which they usually dont do generally). I paid them the bill and also tip coz I felt that they must be given tip. I asked the guy if they had everything that I have ordered for. when I came home and saw the items there were missing actual order and the pudding. They would have said they dont have it and been honest when I asked them. May be I should have opened the bag and seen it (we usually trust and didnt do it) I was furious not coz I lost. But at the blunt callous attitude the guy had. And they are taken people for granted. Which isnt good. I would never ever go to a place where people are dishonest. They lost the credibility.!you lost a customer ! <

UPDATES: since they changed the management and owner, this place has gone awesome. Very tasty Indian food, good variety and recently they have upgraded the ambiance too. The catering food is something me and my friends order more frequently. Highly recommended to anyone who is a big fan of Indian food. Review from 2014: Quality deteriorated over time. I was a regular customer of this restaurant. The food quality was awesome. Today I went there and found the Garlic Naans were burned and too much crispy. The mutton biryani was burned at the bottom too. Aweful food taste. Now I will have to find a new Indian restaurant for office lunch and family dinner.

I would like to recommend this Indian restaurant for mouth watering South Indian food.I dont want to say about biryanis here because its already popular and many people suggested me to have biryani and I do agree now,Its very good than many Indian restaurants. We tried Mysore Masala Dosa,Egg Dosa,Chicken Fried Rice,Butter Chicken.Proper Tamil Nadu style Egg Dosa dont miss it.Mysore Masala dosa is delicious, Chutney and Sambar is as good as home food.Fried rice and Butter Chicken must give a try. Its compact restaurant but they are hygienic and very patient. Many To Go Orders. You missed 5/5 only because restaurant is compact else you people deserve the best

Food was great. But very disappointed with the hospitality. We entered the restaurant at 9:15 pm but was denied dine in and was told that though the restaurant closes at 10 pm they wont let us dine in and can give only to go. They saw that there were two pregnant women and a kid with us and I explained that our home is a hour drive from there and yet they denied for no reason. I had to drive back to home and make everyone eat. Very disappointed Update: Their hospitality is very well improved & the staff is friendly. Increasing my ratings

I went to Bawarchi a few days ago with couple of other friends and the food was awesome! I felt the service was great too, everyone was fast, pleasant, and always had smiles on their faces. Our food came out at a decent amount of time. This my second visit to Bawarchi after 3 months of first visit. Their customer service is better this time but has to improve. Overall I would defiantly recommend this as the best Indian food in the area!! Well done Bawarchi!

My honest opinion: Dont get fooled by taste based on other reviews. This place is a junk place and completely hazardous to health. Me and my husband ordered food (garlic nan/navratna korma/Sambhar wada) . And the next thing happened was "FOOD POISONING". We both got sick after eating the food and suffered for 2 days with fever and vomiting. They should close the place if they dont know how to cook healthy food or they do not have any ethics to follow that.

I liked the taste and quality of the food here, before I tried couple of other restaurants in the area but was not completely satisfied with the taste. I felt, the food at ths plc got right amount of flavor with indian spices and i m happy that i found good plc who can make my fav goat biryani delicious, i didnt see any wrong in customer service and serving was also guick enough too. Hope they can keep up this taste for long run..especially biryani..

My all time favorite place for Chicken biryani. I visit this location once in a week for to go Biryani while on the wayback home from office. I will keep visiting this place as long as I am in DE. Last month we had catering from them for my sons first birthday party, those guys were very helping and delivered food on time. Food was just awesome, my guests enjoyed a lot. Thanks guys.

I ordered panner butter masala based on the suggestion of the receptionist and its one of the horrible paneer dish I ever tasted. I wont even give 1 start for the food but the attendant was quite polite to me and so deserve at least 1 star. Ambience was also quite bad. Overall its a pathetic experience for me. Wont go again.

Bawarchi is indisputably the best Indian food in Delaware. On the other hand, the location/setting is probably the worst. However, the ambiance doesnt really distract from the delicious food and most order takeout anyhow. If youre non-veg Id recommend the butter chicken with garlic naan and mango lassi.

The food is barely edible.chicken biriyani and goat curry. The Goat meat was tough and full of gristle. The chicken biriyani has 2 pieces 1 has blood not cooked properly . There are several places in Delaware that have far better tasting biriyani. curry in hurry but its very late have to wait 40 min

This was my second visit for lunch. My first visit was very good for food and service. This visit, today, July 11,2016 was beyond excellent for service and food. A five star review is well deserved. If you want true Indian food, give Bawarchi a try you will not be disappointed. I will return soon

Small tucked away place. This is not part of the Bawarchi chain however the food here is excellent! This is more of a take out joint and less of a dine in. you can dine in if you are a bunch of friends who dont mind self serving. Biriyanis are excellent. Chicken 555 is a good appetizer

Please don’t serve the leftover food! We ordered the chicken biryani, chicken lollipop and Sesame chicken to go. They served us the previous left over chicken biryani (stale). Chicken lollipop wasn’t cooked all the way and it’s greasy. Sesame chicken was good and kids liked it.

Good South Indian restaurant. I ordered masala dosa and it was excellent. I specifically loved the red chutney. its a self service here so you order and wait for the food to get ready and they will call you to self serve. I also ordered the veg fried rice but it was okay.

Ordered chili chicken and goat biryani both are worst. Greatly disappointed. There is no taste of South Indian authentic food, especially not Hyderabadi. Dont be a culprit of it and get fooled by just looking at name bawarchi if you are expecting a taste of Hyderabad.
