Excellent fare, especially for lunch and dinner (at no time have I had *anything* from their breakfast menu yet) abounds at The Hollywood Grill(1), ...as does very good to exceptional eclectically coffee-house+very-aptly multiple-celebrity(both deceased...like James Dean or Elvis _____, among others... and surviving... like Oprah ______[we-know-whom (smile+wink{;-)} )])-comnemorating eatery-and-gathering-spot + former-Howard Johnsons-Restaurant-and-Motel+late-1960s-through-1970s-diner--restaurant (cf. Melrose, of South Philadelphian fame) atmosphere(2)...as did--as of all times in 2008 and 2009-- very good to frequently many a paragon of customer service (3; hopefully this remains the case now, too); but as Mike Chelys [*sic*] and others have remarked, prices for most menu items are quite, even very, costly. Still, goodness of often-huge portions (even mightier than what Luckys, only twenty-two blocks farther north up the pike, offers!) and the typical reality of Wednesday-night- through-Saturday crowding -- NO PARKING ANY TIME AVAILABLE ON-SITE occasionally -- attest to lingering and persistent realities of good food and service which keep luring people back, regardless of price, availability of seating, and waiting times or durations, in most cases. Evidently many are the people who dont only go there for an occasional treat, but consider it so irresistibly good that theyll willingly keep overspending to eat there; otherwise, there would be more days than the occasional Sunday afternoon, Monday, and Tuesday when it wouldnt be even "halfway-" crowded at all!

Ive been a regular for so many years, but I think Im giving up. Im a vegetarian. 3 times in the last year theres been bacon on my plate. The first couple of times it was on or under my veggie burger. This last time it was a 3/4" chunk in my FRUIT CUP. How does bacon get in the fruit cup?! I have dedicated my life to animal rights issues and rescue, so for me that is not acceptable. The third time they did give me my meal for free, but this might be an indicator of an unclean kitchen or sloppy cooks. If youre using the same utensils for burgers and veggie burgers, you are missing the point. Its the perfect middle point between where I work and where my fiance works - but I dont know if I can risk a fourth time. Its sincerely heartbreaking to me. Not to mention nausea-inducing. And it seems to always be the same server when it happens - so Im sure she loves me by now. Finding a new lunch spot...

We visited April 5, 2017. Our first visit and I would visit again. Tired travellers needed lunch. Bright clean interior. Husband had Reuben wrap. Many locals there. Two business men were having a long meeting and waitress did not bother them. Several tables of seniors put for lunch. They have been,there before. Friendly waitress. The busboys are very well trained!!! They placed the dishes and glasses in the tubs with absolutely no noise. One would have thought one was in a white linen tablecloth restaurant. A good local place with well made, tasty food.

My husband and I go to this diner at least 2-3 times per week. The food is good on the most part, We always request Nadine Nardo as our waitress who goes above and beyond to make sure everything is to your satisfaction. Several staff mainly hostess at night has a very poor personality, she is not a friendly as she should be working in the public. The 5 stars are for Nadine and the food!!!

great good food,,, still has the best fried clams anywhere since Howard Johnsons,, seated fast,,, everyone has cut portions back but here you still take home food. I dont understand the one bad review because the place is always almost full and sometimes you have to wait. They did add a new room in the last year.

Food is regular diner food. Service is hit or miss. Kitchen is very slow. I was brought am old for coffee cup for my tea. Waitresses immediately was horrified and brought me a completely new set up when I pointed it out. Not the greatest place to eat, but it will do in a pinch

The swordfish was the best I ever had, prepared in an exquisite aurora blush-colored sauce with scallions and mushrooms. Shiela, my waitress, was very attentive. I really never has a bad meal there. The value is excellent. Stop by if youre shopping anywhere along 202.

Cool little diner that serves breakfast all day. I got the fried chicken and it was delicious. Dawn our server was funny and took care of us all night. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is very nostalgic. My wife got the spanakopita and she enjoyed it as well.

Good food. Large portions. Little pricey. Counter waitress was rude due to a customer who was a regular and misplaced me for someone else who he didnt like. She was so rude towards me that I moved to a table. That waitress treated me great.

Foods ok but over priced. If you ask for a large milk they put it in a small glass and way over charge you. They were slow and cant even butter toast. The milk was 3.25 and oj was 4.95 both in small glasses. Wont be here again

Most of the staff have been there for 15 or more years and they have EXCELLENT cusomer service!!! The food is homemade, tasty and prices are affordable!!! We visit very frequent...try this place they do not dissapoint!

Our go-to place on Concord Pike. Soups are excellent and Im always blown away at how fast the service is despite how busy they always are. Food has gotten a little pricey for diner fare, but still worth it.

I have came here since 1964! It was my first breakfast in America since we just left Australia. The pancakes are awesome and the service is great. They handled the Easter morning rush with ease.
