We had a mixed experience here. The food came out very slow but the server and manager both apologized for the slow service. It was a Saturday night around 8:30. Our appetizer was delicious. We got the lobster Spinach queso and it was excellent. We are a big fan of crab dip and this didnt disappoint. Was even better using the bread they give you to dip. As for our entrees it was hit and miss. My wife got the firebirds chicken pasta and we both thought it was pretty good. The filet i got was delicious and cooked a little under what I had asked for but I think that made it even better. I asked for medium and it was more of a mid-rare. The disappointment was the crab cake and grilled shrimp I added to the meal. The crab cake literally tasted like burnt oil. Manager offered to have the kitchen make me another one and it came out the same way. Even though I could see the lump crab it tasted nothing like crab. I recommended the manager try one because it was worst crab cake Ive ever had in my life and it was expensive for the small size. What was shocking was the server even said our crab cakes arent very good. I wish she would have told me that when I ordered it. The grilled shrimp was over cooked and barely edible. It also had a funny taste, almost like it wasnt cleaned thoroughly. Still had a salty sea water taste to it. For the price and amount the seafood part was extremely disappointing. I would definitely go back and just stick with regular meats next time. I guess the lobster would be ok because our app was delicious. I guess stick with steaks, burgers, chicken and ribs.

Dined with in-laws (picky and demanding), wife and daughter (somewhat finicky) for her birthday dinner because the grandparents were in the mood for beef. We arrived after reserving a table online and we were warmly greeted and shown to the perfect corner table. Jason, our waiter, was enthusiastic and very professional. Jason handled questions (and somewhat confused attempts at clarification by members of our party) with patience and good humor. Birthday girls coconut shrimp was quite good! My broiled salmon over the specialty salad with lime dressing was excellent. In-laws steaks were prepared as ordered and, when one of them was considered too rare, the Manager attended to it personally--even bringing additional au jus to ensure a moist, flavorful experience. All agreed it was a wonderful choice and we left all feeling full after sharing one order of creme brulee cheesecake and one order of chocolate cake. The kitchen performed well, the serving team performed well and the managers personal involvement in the satisfaction of my in-law was a welcomed touch. Jason, our enthusiastic--yet mature and unflappable--waiter made the experience for everyone at the table--ask for him by name. And, dont miss the made-to-order special lemonade that was a memorable treat!

Mark, first of all we love your restaurant. And you menu. We have some problems in the past but your manager has been working them out. My wife is going through some medical issue. So we have been doing take out. On Friday night we got our grilled shrimp & strawberry salad, and a blue cheese filet. They for got to give us rolls & butter again. And when you call to place a take out order. They always put you on hold. Then when they get back on the phone sometimes, they take your order or the transfer you to the bar. Dont know why one system isnt in place. That when they answer the phone, that they are ready for what ever the customer is asking them. And if there not ready dont answer the phone. Then when you go to pick up your order, you do not know where to go.Sometime they send you to the bar and sometimes the hostess gets it. I think that if they has one system implemented. It would make Firebirds look more organized and professional.

Fantastic Restaurant in the Upscale Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania region! I really enjoyed the smokehouse BBQ chicken burger with seasoned steak fries! The scene seems quite romantic, loud, and frenetic, and weekends can be very crowded. When my friends and I dined there yesterday, we endured a 45-minute wait for a table! However, once we were finally seated, the food was tasty and fabulous. Our waiters were nice, attentive, and friendly. Abstain from the fried spinach! Overwhelmingly salty! Reservations are recommended so you wont have to encounter a nearly 1-hour long wait until you are seated. Overall, this was a great place.

Arrived to a packed restaurant on a Fri night with no reservation. Given the wait time, and went to the bar where we sat at a pub table anyway after waiting for an unnoticing bartender and servers who were chatty with each other. A prompt server took our drink orders, where the weak martini was returned 3 times bc of a filthy martini glass. Steaks and apps ordered, app came, steaks following too soon. Fried shrimp was good. Steaks were not cooked to temp (ordered mid-rare, arrived very rare). If it wasnt for the server himself or the happy hour price, a well deserved one star.

A beautiful new place with heated outside dining/terrace....comfortable cushions....fireside dining. The greatest Happy Hour in town with outstanding menu choices. Steaks are the absolute best in town!!! High quality ingredients and staff that aim to please. Once you try Firebirds, you wont go anywhere else!!! Email club with specials for loyal customers. As a former customer of the Christiana Firebirds, I welcome this new one to my neighborhood. Have dined there since their opening over 15 times and every one has been a wonderful experience.

I use the private dining room for partner meetings with our attorney. The food is always excellent, the service is prompt and the menu is extensive including the gluten free options. I enjoy reviewing the menu online prior to arriving so I can make up my mind ahead of time. The room is excellent for privacy and to hear what is being said in the room. I have taken my son and his family and dined in the main dining room and they all enjoyed it also. I find the prices to be appropriate for the area and the excellent food and service.

12 of us had a post college graduation lunch on 5-30-2015. Service and staff were outstanding, as usual. We had a selection of burgers & sandwiches. The burgers were excellent as were the delmonico steak sandwiches. The only flaw was the prime rib sandwich. I dont believe it was prime rib and it could not be ordered rare, which leads me to think it was prepackaged beef. It was tasty but not what I expected when I ordered. That aside, I would highly recommend Firebirds for lunch or dinner.

Really amazing food. Love the atmosphere. The filet mignons are definitely my favorite, but the salmon is great as well. I really love things seasoned well, but one friend I brought did think the fries were a bit salty. The only thing I will say is the beer list is not fantastic, but I can forgive that for the great drinks (Double Diamond is the best!). Every time we go in the wait staff is friendly and very helpful. Well be coming back here many more times!

All of my familys food was overly seasoned to the point where it was almost inedible. I had the ceaser salad with shrimp and the dressing had so much pepper it burned my throat. The shrimp had so much salt I could not eat them. My father had the salmon and it was so overly salty he could barely eat it. Overall very unsatified and no one in my family will ever be going to another Firebird restaurant.
