Used to be much better . . . . The beer selections have become stale and the brew master seems to have lost his/her inspiration. 10 years ago these guys were on par with Iron Hill but when it comes to beer they have fallen behind. While I always thought that their beers had that Stewarts taste to them, perhaps its that there are so many other brew pubs out there now that are quite frankly just better. The atmosphere is still friendly, and although there are a lot of regulars its not a regulars bar where you get stared at when you come in. There is a good mixed age crowd. Families are mixed in with groups and couples. Service is ok, nothing notable. Menu is far less inspired than the beer. Some dishes are still good but overall its become very inconsistent. My wife had the French dip this evening and said it was good. I had the shrimp and grits and was more than disappointed, hence this review. The meal was completely uninspired and consisted of too dry instant grits and canned seasoned collards (vinegar-y) 4 - 5 deep fried battered shrimp two pieces of bacon (not typically part of shrimp and grits) and a sprig rosemary. It was a $15 plate of low quality ingredients topped with "bacon". Quite frankly it sucked and I only ate about half of it. I cant understand why they even put it on the menu if they are going to do it so poorly. Stewarts is an ok neighborhood place, friendly crowd, ok for easy dinner on a Friday night. Stewarts is not really bad at anything and at the same time not really good at anything either.

I went to this brewpub on a Saturday for a Wheres George gathering. Usually, Im not a fan of brewpubs or any establishment with "brew", "brewing", "tavern", or "pub" in the name. I dont drink and the fare is typically what I can find at a regular greasy spoon for less money. However, Im willing to give anything a try. The parking area was a bit confusing because of the way the dividers and one-way lanes were arranged but there was more than adequate parking for a Saturday. Inside the restaurant, the ambiance was comfortable. The restroom seemed clean enough too. I had a chicken cheesesteak, which was unremarkable for the price level. There were two things I was unhappy about. Firstly, the server offered onion rings as the side for the cheesesteak but failed to tell me that this option costs extra. Thats my biggest pet peeve with sit-down restaurants, especially non-chain restaurants that often fail to disclose all charges beforehand. Secondly, I had to leave before the rest of the group and asked for the check to be split so I could settle early. I watched the server punch in this request and it took only two button pushes on the touchscreen POS. Why then did they only do that grudgingly? Was that so difficult? I thought the food wasnt quite worth the money either but Id have given them an average rating if it were not for those two service issues. As it stands, I wouldnt consider going back even if the Wheres George gathering is held here again next year.

Im sure the beer is really great, but I had a couple complaints about the service. I placed an order for food and a soup. The soup took so long that I figured it was going to come with the rest of the food. However, the soup came by iteself and luke warm. It was another half hour before the food came, but my plate never came. It was fish, which should cook very quick. Someone at my table ordered the same thing, and hers came out with everyone elses. I ended up canceling my order, because people were done eating at that point. In the end, they overcharged me for the soup, and I had to beg the server to refill my drink. Hate to put down a Micro, but you should pry stick to the beer for fear of slow/bad service.

whatever, mafisc. if youre going to go to Stewarts, go in the evening. the atmosphere is rockin at night! only an idiot would go in the morning and then complain about it being in a strip mall and all. yeah and you drank the wrong beer too. you are not certified to complain until youve tried the greatest beer in the world: the Stumbling Monk. until then, do us a favor and stay in hershey, PA. youre welcome.

Nice restaurant and bar for adults or with families. Had a kids menu for my 5 year old. Various selection of beers including a sampler at good prices. My sandwich was yummy with great bread. They have tater tots as side choice too :) Wings were a bit too spicy for mild which was a Bummer for my kid who loves wings. Server was very nice and had a comfy relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone.

I normally enjoy Stewarts, but apparently brunch is not their "thing". I dont know if its the cooks or the server who doesnt know the difference between over easy and over hard but this was the 2nd time Ive received a runny egg after asking for it not to be... Meal was a lil greasy but edible. Service was poor and lazy.

The beers are a mix of standards and seasonals with the occasional one offs. The food is second to none in this area. The crowd is always a mix of old and young with men and women. Its a comfortable neighborhood hangout where all are welcome. Come here once and it will be your regular go to spot.

Ive been coming here for a couple of years. You cant beat the staff. It has a Cheers feel. The owner, Al, is approachable, down to earth and just a great guy. The food is above average and the variety of beers is excellent. I cant say enough positive things.

Stewarts is the first place I sat down and had a meal in Delaware when I was house hunting in the area 10 years ago. I bought a house and have been enjoying Stewarts ever since. The food is always good and the beer is excellent. Go there, you will like it!

My summertime happy hour pit stop. But dont come here expecting bud or miller lite. They do have coors lite on tap though. Food is good. Chef has some good flavors on some of the menu options. And I do believe there is a childrens menu.

Great beer selection and the regular menu items are quite good. They are always doing interesting specials. The only reason they dont get 5 Stars is they no longer serve the amazing Meat Loaf they had years ago. Fix that. Will ya?

Our waitress was very nice, great service. The crab dip was delicious but the burger, not so much. It literally looked like the piece of American cheese was placed on the burger right before being served as it was barely melted.
