The thing that stood out to me the most upon first visiting the place was the actual building. Skooters stands out from the boring Hotels and food chains surrounding it; the building is a shiny metal with a big neon sign. It looks unique. The interior has fantastic atmosphere and has a big personality for a small diner. The food is delicious and not expensive at all. The burger was greasy and I loved every bit of it. The music was authentic for the style of the diner and presented a sweet rockabilly feel. The owner was a nice guy who seems to really enjoy what he does; it shows. They should never change whatever they have going, its working perfectly for all of us.

From the second we walked in the host and waiters are running around all confused. There was only 3 other tables and they must have walked up to me 3 times ask if we ordered. The waiter didnt even know the menu when I asked if something contained mushrooms as Im allergic and when she brought out our toast after we had got out meal, she grabbed it with her hands. How do you serve people food with your hands ??? Also the cooks dont wear gloves as they are mixing everything back there and even wiped his nose. Will never come here again.

You will offer to drive your friend to the airport so you can eat at Skooters When I leave a 90% tip, they have earned 5 stars. I watched him load up the jukebox with free credits before the people arrive "because a lot of kids have never seen a jukebox and they wont have to bother their parents to get coins". The food is great and very reasonably priced. Open kitchen, watch them make your meal. Everything is clean. This is the way a diner is supposed to be. Cash only, but they have an ATM that only charges a $1.50 fee.

You can tell the chef behind the counter knows how to cook breakfast. One of the best breakfast sandwiches ever. Really nice too. I also love the ambience - makes me feel like Im in a colorful Pleasantville. I will make it a point to come back and resume the funny banter the chef and I had today after my entire flight was cancelled. He made my day and the breakfast sandwich (even just watching him make it) made my YEAR!

Went to Skooters on on 8/14/2015. I noticed the cooks do not wear gloves. I noticed them wiping sweat, and scratching themselves all while BARE HANDING food!!! The waitress who was taking the takeout orders (handling money) was also preparing food. BARE HANDED!! VERY UNSANITARY!! I asked for my money back and Vowed to NEVER walk through the doors again!!!! Stay away unless this behavior is OK with you!!!

The place has great dinner food with a good selection of seafood. It has an open kitchen and the cook keeps a running dialog with the patrons at the counter. It is a friendly and cheerful place and many local regulars eat here even though is located at BDL (Springfield/ Hartford) airport. The owner is a retired flight attendant. Stop in if you are flying out. It sure beats the food in the terminal.

I love scooters very much the food was amazing. Fantastic dishes, wide variety and simply delicious butDan I believe the cook tonight was horrible. Such a foul and foolish man. Was horrible at his job. The waitress with the red hair was absolutely darling. Probably the only reason I stayed. I live scooters. Dan does not belong there though.

Waitstaff excellent there on Saturday nite. But the cooks were not able to get orders out together for one table. It was piece meal. Wait staff apologized several times for cooks and all the one cook did was loudly comment on negative criticism. Felt sorry for waitress and it was brutal went on entire time. Kinda ruined experience

Dropped by with my dad and daughter. Him and I had the BLTs which were pretty good. My daughter had pancakes and scrambled eggs and loved them. Staff was overworked (2 for a full house) but were very good and friendly. Wed recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick bite and will be back again.

CASH ONLY - and the ATM does not accept international cards. Thankfully had a companion to covered me as the food was already up! Food was good, home cooked and fresh, staff really felt like they loved the place. Super cute diner car style experience. Breakfast was AMAZING and Ill be back just for that.

Wow! Disorganized, smelled of urine, grill cook uses hands to cook...No kidding, I watched him dip bread into egg wash wipe his hands on his apron and touched everything else on the grill. Nasty chewy plastic tasting hot dog has been Ill...Maybe it was watching him handle the food!!! Rubber gloves!!!!

This place is cool. If it hasnt been on the food channel it probably will be soon. I felt like I walked into the 50s. Food was great and quick. Even had the straw lifter things. awsome. I watched the staff fresh batter everything that went into the fryer. rings, fish, whatever. bottom line, GO HERE.

Nothing special. Thought it was weird to have to order at "the end of the counter" per the greeters instructions. Had the gyro sandwich . It could have used more meat and less veggies.

Bigger bang for the buck. Tried other chain style restaurants (I.e. Dennys Friendlys Cracker Barrel etc) and seems like one gets more here for same money.

They have drastically changed in quality since two years. Becuase they used to have nice juicy, big burgers but now theyre like little and shriveled up.

Food was too greasy for my taste..even for diner food. My hamburger was greasy and soggy. Staff was friendly. They only take cash. Decor was neat. YMMV.

Its the most unique place to eat on the Rt 75 strip of restaurants and hotels! 1950s & 60s styling & music, tasty food & exceptionally good milkshakes.
