The last time I visited The Elm Diner I was with my friend from work, Eunice and it was lunchtime and her treat. I was impressed by the size and cut of the food which was very generous and the fact that it was cooked fully through because i have been out to eat in the past and bit into like chicken or something which was not cooked fully through. So, the good thing about The Elm Diner is that I dont have to constantly check the food as Im eating. I used to work in West Haven and my job used to lunch there so I know its a great place to eat and going to and from work Ive never once seen it empty. When I would go inside Id be seated by the staff immediately and they were patient when waiting on me and my friends. You can call your order in and they do pick up and take out. Me and Eunice both were able to find specials on their menu both under $10.00 and I dont like to spend alot when I go out so of course Ill recommend this business and of course return.

I love this diner. My mom and I regularly come on Saturdays. Since it changed hands, I have not seen a change in the delicious food and wonderful service. Im dissapointed that the community has turned its back on this wonderful business that employs local folks. Should this continue, they will be out of their jobs. Please support this wonderful diner, their employees and in turn, their families as well

I have never had a bad meal here. The restaurant is very clean, you can tell that the staff really makes sure each table is clean and clear before they seat anyone. The food portions are the perfect size, and everything is cooked correctly. We love this spot so much we visit it a few times a month. The owner is always stopping by the tables to make sure everyone is happy.

Generous portions of delicious home style foods (Italian, Greek, classic American fare). I try to get there every Tuesday for their Lentil soup. Its like a porridge thick with diced carrots, celery, potatoes and very small bits of chopped garlic. Yum! Yum! The wait staff is so friendly that they actually become friends.

Came in with my family and ordered a chicken wrap. Found two pieces of small chicken bones in the wrap before I just stopped and said something to the waitress. She said oh it was probably a bad batch and bones got mixed in. Im sorry, what??!!. Her piss poor attitude just lost a long time customer .

Been going to The Elm Diner for years and have always had a good experience. Quality, portions and price all provide a great value. The owners, John and Foula are very hands on and the wait staff is excellent. I have not complaints and am on my way there now for dinner!

Solid diner food. It was busy, but not so bad that we werent able to get a table quickly. Our waitress was polite and helpful, but seemed a little overwhelmed. They could probably use another person on staff on weekends.
