I absolutely LOVE this diner! Ive been too many diners growing up and none of them could even compete with this one! The menu has such a large variety starting with your breakfast, Greek dishes, Italian, Mediterranean, American, and of course my favorite, Seafood! I highly recommend for breakfast the eggs Benedict, it is so delicious and the presentation of the food just added to the deliciousness! Also Ive had dinner there and ordered the early bird special and decided to try the Cornish hen with a baked potato zucchini and there amazing chicken tortellini soup, Ive never had anything so flavorful and yummy not to mention the portion sizes are HUGE! Prices are very reasonable along with the waitresses who are always very social and kind and just hands awesome service! The kitchen staff and manager are the nicest people you will ever come arcoss they put so much time and dedication to preparing all the fresh homemade food! I hope my review was helpful, its easier to pick out flaws Rather then taking the time write some positive points in reviews!:)

Been coming here for some time since moving to Meriden. The food is decent, never had any issues. We normally come for breakfast though. The biggest issue is the staff being too loud. Its one thing if they are speaking to customers as they are saying goodbyes, but on more than one occasion its been speaking to staff loud about work ethics or some sort of training. Customer shouldnt have to hear how to put in "fries" or that "your section windows need to be cleaned." Therea no need for that when you have a backroom or theres always speaking softly to explain something to your staff. Its not a bad place but maybe some training on how to handle things in a resturant environment

They advertize that they deliver, and once I called, they said that they where too busy. I put an order in and picked it up, customer service there was terrible. Got home to find out that the order was incomplete. I called in to let them know about my experience and they put me on hold for 5 minutes and then hung up on me. I called back and spoke with the manager who offered to give me a credit next time I go there, claiming that "we are busy, this things happen" he wouldnt even credit the portion of the order that I did not received. I told him that this was unacceptable and he hung up on me. Needless to say, I would not attend this establishment ever again

Its great if you like cold food and messed up orders. The waitress looked like she either just rolled out of bed or was drinking all night! No professionalism in their either. I shouldnt have to listen to the waitresses discussing how many times they were arressted or how bad cops in the local area can be. Horrible experience. Never going back. A new chef might be a great improvement too. The table next to us was served tea that wasnt even hot and the other table the gentlemen was upset about ordering one thing but receiving another. Beware! Stay away!

I went to the Green Olive Diner for the first time the other day. I was very impressed with the excellent job they did remodeling. It is a very clean and comfortable enviroment to dine in. The waitresses were super friendly and the food was great! They have a huge menu and serve pizza, and gluten free foods that other diners dont usually serve. I would highly reccomend this diner to any of my family members or friends. The service is very quick, I only waited about 5 minutes for my food. Perfect place to go on your lunch break! 5 Stars!!

The staff really could care less, from the hostess throwing our menus on the table and giving us a dirty look to the waitresses not knowing who had our table. There was only 6 full tables and 3 waitresses not hard to figure out. We would still be there if I hadnt said something. The food is a whole another problem. If you like your French toast soggy and warm ice coffee then this is place to go. Forget sending it back because theres no improvement. 3 strikes this place is out!

Horrible over the phone trying to order the lady was giving so much attitude she nearly had me want to drive there it sucks cuz the food is good.. I told her to make sure my recipt was in the bag she caught a attitude when she was charging my credit card she asked over n over omg uggg i cant the machine is acting up omg can you say the num again smh i wanted to snap but started thinking about my cheese cake

my best friends and i would eat her at the very least 3 tmes aweek but over the last month the quality of food has gone down hill. after the last visit the manager ,rather than trying to correct the issue he brought the cook to dinning room to have a staring contest wih my friend. i will never go there ever agin and will visit this and every page i can to let the world kmow this placeSUCKS

So a dinner that cant make breakfast is a sad thing. I ordered 2 scrambled eggs, bacon, homefries, and toast. I got 2 fried cold eggs, no bacon, and cold homefries. The floors where covered in food. There was a large TV on showing how to wax nose hair. I would have to guess that it must have been the waitress first day because a bit clueless. the dinner was all but empty, it was 10:30am

Shrimp was bad it smelled horrible, told the waitress(who appeared to be on drugs), she brought the manager out and he came out and insisted it was fine. And I said I just want to switch my order bc that is old and he had the nerve to tell me I had to pay for half of it when I only smelled it. then he started yelling like a lunatic when I said Im not paying for itNEVER AGAIN!

Horrible experience today. Heard owner yelling. Over 40 min for 2 calzones. Kids meals were ok but no food for adults. They only wanted to compensate us 15% off for the calzones. Thats unacceptable. We left without them and the owner was still yelling from the kitchen area. Very very unprofessional. We will never go back!!! Also the gluten-free is way overpriced.

Service is always very quick and friendly. There are TONS of gluten-free options (a gluten-free alternative for almost everything on the menu) and they are actually great tasting too! Would definitely recommend to those with and without gluten intolerances. They even remembered that I needed to be gluten-free after only going there 2 times before!

Ordered fish and chips, when they arrived they fish was spoiled. The owner or manager came out to try and force me to pay for a meal I hadnt taken one bite of then he attempted to fight me inside the place. Awesome experience! Before this happened I had eaten there at least once a week. Never again.

This is our secound time coming here and we always have a bad experience. They take so long to serve a coffee or to pick up our orders. We thought things would have change but unfortunately that wasnt the case and it wasnt even busy. It too bad that they give good food but bad service.
