That was unbelievable! The visit to this restaurant was a great experience. The food was very delicious and the items on the items are out of this world! The service was super friendly and we followed the advice to get the selection of oysters from different regions of New England - that was fantastic! The fish stew was unbelievable! The beef tartar was super fresh and delicious! And grilled octopus was the best! That is very unusual to find such high quality place right in Connecticut. I was told that people from NY and other places to come for the dinner in this restaurant and I believe it. I would give it 10+ if it would be possible.

I stopped in here the other night and had the smoked trout dip, beef tartare, fluke crudo and shrimp and grits. The smoked trout left something to be desired here but was not bad, just that I have had much better. The beef tartare and fluke crudo though were both on point and I was shocked about the beef considering that this is a seafood restaurant. Last, the shimp and grits just was mediocre at best. Overall, a good restaurant but not a place I would rave about or have to go back to.

Went for lunch after shopping at Kraft across the street. Oh my. Totally farm to table with whatever is in the market displayed on the Chefs table at the end of the bar. Take a long lunch and make no plans afterwards. Martinis are great, spicy and inventive. Pickled green bean martini spicy and was sooo good. Cuddlefish pasta with sausage and tomatoes. Great breads.To die for Burger. Try their sister restaurant Le Farm on US 1 in Westport. Going tonight.Yummm.

Incredible dishes. Fantastic Variations and unique preparations. Here the seafood taste so fresh and tender. Delicious. We had oysters, shrimp and a whole grilled octopus. Perfect. At weekends you have to reserve the tables two weeks in advance. But there are some tables with Barockern, indoors and out, can not be reserved. Here you can always get a seat if you wait a bit. Outside there is also a bit quieter than inside. Recommended!

My wife and I go here quite a bit for date nights. Its always a fun atmosphere and the menu is one of the best. There arent many tables you can reserve, so reservations fill up early. People are always changing plans though, so Ive had luck falling back each day. Theres also a communal table that is open seating and a bar too. Try the pig ears!

This place is amazing. I work near the Whelk and occasionally go there for Happy Hour. $1 oysters, $3 cans of beer. perfect. Dinner is even better! I will post some photos from our dinner. This is one of the best restaurants in the area. Le Farm / The Whelk, and Kawa Ni, all owned by the same guy. All A+.
