To Whom This May Concern: My friend and I were in your establishment tonight for a quick bite to eat, and it was an absolute, for lack of a better word, nightmare. From the moment you walk in you see an employee, feet basically up on the bar, no hostess, and waitresses just walking by. It took almost 5 minutes to be noticed, to then be seated. Upon being seated, it took almost 10 minutes to have our waitress come over, and ask for DRINKS! We proceeded to order our meals, this proved to show lack of pictures vs. typed menu items, and the waitstaff had minimal knowledge on their food/menu. After placing our meals, came the salad. Which we asked for dressing on the side, it was FILLED with dressing ON the salad. One tomato, one onion, and one (not even two) olives, pitiful! We also ordered a bowl of your featured French Onion soup, that took almost 10 MORE MINUTES to be served. It was silty, and shiny, meaning it has been sitting for quite some time, to then just be reheated, melted, and served. Time ticks on, we are now maxing out at almost, if not more, than 45 minutes since PLACING the order and seeing it come to the table. In those 45 minutes, the soup and salad proved to be mishaps. We asked for bread, only to not receive that until mid-meal. Drinks completely empty. The DINNER SPECIAL "Fish N Chips" that was SUGGESTED was a terrible display of knock-off, over cooked, falling apart mini-fish filets battered Stop N Shop brand something, cold/room temp fries, and wilted lettuce to make it look somewhat appetizing. We had to ask for tarter sauce, lemon, and the BREAD. The other entree was simply PLAIN scrod, and PLAIN spinach. It was COVERED in not even butter, but bad margarine, COVERED, DRIPPING, and SWIMMING in margarine. Again, bread came up. Finally came. At this point, we are so fed up - we arent even looking at our waitress, she asks about the food, I say well, glad I went with this "special"... not! To that, she simply smiled and walked away. We just want to LEAVE. Walk out and never look back. Only to then get the check which was over $40.00 which should have been HALF for the meals we ordered, everything was upcharged. Nothing was made to order/correct. We were ignored, cheated, and absolutely miserable for what was supposed to be QUICK BITE, that turned into an entire 1.5 hours WASTED. We have been before, and it has just been getting worse and worse. We were so disgusted, we didnt even want to complain because no one that was there seemed to care. Do something. Change something. Because right now, you have lost two paying customers. And from the look of your attendance, you cant afford such low numbers. Thank you in advance, hopefully there is something that can be done.

RUN FROM THIS DUMP ! The people who run this restaurant are uncaring, moronic imbeciles. Let me explain: I came here for a meal, sat down with my wife and while looking over the menu asked for two glasses of water. So far, no problem. The waitress brings the waters on a platter with an iced tea for another table. The waitress proceeds to dump the entire ice tea on our table ice and all which soaks my trousers and stains my jacket. She apologizes- I realize accidents do happen. I proceeded to speak with the manager when he came by. I politely asked him to pay for the dry cleaning of my jacket- He looked at me like I had two heads. He then refused my modest request ! What kind of a cheap skate operation is this that treats customers like dirt ?!! I didnt even ask for a comped meal, only that my jacket be able to be dry cleaned at their expense that it was stained with ice tea that was their fault and he refused. I left the premises and vowed never to return. Folks, do yourself a favor and AVOID THIS DUMP AT ALL COSTS. Head up the road about a 1/2 mile north on the opposite side of the road to Leos Restaurant which was superb. I told my waitress at Leos about this ordeal and she was shocked at the ignorance of this moron of a manager.

If there were a negative rating I would give it. Tonight 10 volunteers, including myself, met at Maples Restaurant to have a working dinner for a nonprofit group. We intentionally sat in the adjoining room separate from the main dining area so that our talking would not bother anyone. It would not have mattered, however, as the restaurant was pretty much empty most of the evening. One would think that as they had very little business, it being a Tuesday, the restaurant would have welcomed our business. One would be wrong. This restaurant had the gall to charge us a $45.00 room fee. They did this even though we did not request that no one else be seated in the room and even though they knew we were meeting to plan an event for a group that advocates for the elderly and disabled. Shame on you Maples Restaurant, Shame on you.

I have been to the restaurant several times and the food is always great and the atmosphere is nice. My only issue is that sometimes my husband and myself got a server who doesnt have a good attitude. The last time we ate there for lunch, when she took our orders she was bright and smiling but for the rest of the service she had a very poor attitude and we really dont know why. When I asked for a refill of my drink she gave me snide look and took away my empty glass. We arent the type of patrons who patronize people and their service but her sudden change of attitude and her abrupt and cold demeanor she served us our food and drinks makes us wary of coming there for lunch again. Breakfast and dinners have always been great.

Horrible experience at the restaurant. Brought my mother there for dinner we use to go there for breakfast once a month when the old owners were there. We waited 10 mins to be seated while the hostess and waitresses stood there at the bar talking. Placed order. Get soups for the meal both of ours were cold waitress never came back to bring bread to return for hot soup. Dinner comes out wrong. Order steak med. First time its well done send back comes out rare and tough as shoe leather. Horrible cut of meat. Finally got our bread and butter with my shoe leather. Waitress asks how the meal is without stopping whal walking by. Paid the bill and left wont go back there again

Not worth it. Slow service, over-priced menu and poor decor. Has all the appeal of an early 80s living room and the uniqueness of a chain restaurant. Food was mediocre at best, and not worth the cost. I dont think the staff would care if patrons came or not. I had to send back the "fried scallops" which likely came from a frozen TV dinner, and the french onion soup gave my partner sickness. I honestly think all the reviews from insiderpages were written by the owner or staff, they are not accurate by any stretch of the imagination.

Went there on Mothers Day for breakfast becasue the spoiled brats in the car were getting hungry and antsy. Coffee was hot - kind of downhill after that. The strawberries on the pancakes were of the frozen kind, the OJ tasted either canned or concentrate, the Eggs Benedict were passable although some canadian bacon that was not aged and tough would have been better. The home fries were good and the waitress was pleasant. I know that they were crowded but it would have been nice if the food had been fresher.
