A nice little town, filled with friendly people, but the motel was a bad experience. Im pretty sure it was an old set of college dorm rooms. The first thing that was bothersome was the owner. She was a very grumpy older woman, that simply didnt care for my business. The next unpleasant experience was that the bathroom had no door. And the last unpleasantry was how tiny the room was. And if youre looking for Internet access, there is no WiFi at all. If youre looking for a cheap place, in a friendly area, its not too shabby. But Id rather visit the little town, get a drink, and speak with the friendly people. But Id go against this college dorm motel. Overall, the motel gave me a nasty taste in my mouth, but the town is pleasant. Oh, and if you have a pet, LIE ABOUT IT! I had a baby corn snake in a critter keeper, and the owner angrily said "No pets allowed, there are no exceptions!"

We stayed at the Minturn Motel on a Friday evening to a Saturday morning. I was over an hour late arriving- didnt get there until midnight- and they met me at the door with a friendly smile. The rooms are clean and comfy, definitely right for the price! It reminds me of hostels I have stayed in before, for example: in lieu of a bathroom door, there is a curtain, so if you are traveling with someone you are less than 100% comfortable with, plan to take a walk around the quaint town to give each other privacy OR , for the price, get a room for yourself! Had a great time here- NO complaints at all! Also, the turntable restaurant attached to the motel is AMAZING! Newly remodeled and phenomenal food and artisan drink selection. I have a new favorite weekend get away spot in the mountains....recommend to anyone looking for a new and affordable adventure!

This motel is pretty nasty. When entering what appears to be an old dorm of some kind, we were greeted on the steps by a woman who looks like she just crawled out from under a rock. She didnt bother moving out of the way as we snuck past her. Once we got to our room, the horror continued. The room is very small and stinks. It has no TV. It really has nothing other than a bed, a little desk, and a tiny bathroom, with no door on it. We have been camping for three weeks and were looking forward to a night in a decent room to chill. Unfortunately, Id rather be back in the woods/desert sleeping on hard dirt. I felt much cleaner/safer there.

This place is affordable, and has everything you need. The new owners are amazing and its cleaner than most other motels Ive stayed at. They now have flat screen TVs and the rooms are painted cute. I feel very cozy and satisfied here and honestly I wouldnt even stay at the comfort Inn if I could afford it instead of this place. Theres a strange sense of a home feeling here. (great for long stays not as much for vacation) This place used to house the railroad workers. Im glad it was changed into helping those who need a place to stay.

Well to start the swimming pool was most interesting, a little chilly and had a few to many rocks in it and not many fish. This is a large property - its very green and is a bit like a rain forest in the city - the down side is all the steps you walk up you walk back down - if your fit and or not in a rush its fine - but if your frail maybe this is not the place for you. Some one mentioned the lack of Toilet paper - well yes I guess it can be a problem - but there is a supermarket within 3 minutes walk so whats the big deal.

I would give this place a negative star if possible. Like a giant dark dorm complex. Dark, cinder block walls in rooms, NO TV, disgusting carpets, zero amenities, and scary dark hallways. I assume this a place poor migrant workers stay for weeks, or indigent losers lurk. I hope the stuff in my vehicle isnt stolen. I would have asked for my money back if the office hadnt closed and I wasnt so tired.

Great location, atmosphere and service. The food (breakfast) was hot and tasty, with a variety of selections. I thought the portions were small for the price, but, hey, this is a tourist town! The green chili was a step above what I usually find in Denver! (I got spoiled growing up in New Mexico!)

Definitely sacrificing quantity of people over the quaility of the food. Presentation was not good and eggs were dry and portions were insane compared to price. French toast was a huge disappointment. Server was clearly frustrated on people making comments about the food quality and the process

Its different staff didnt seem to friendly with custmers they didnt know places an order to go first time being there since it closed the employee didnt bother to check on out order had to ask bout my order Ill try it again being they just opened lets hope next time go some things change

Remodeled and rocking. Been coming here since 1996. The new owners have kept the name, the train, and some of Darlas recipes. I look forward to making new Turntable memories with my family. Maybe they will even bring back Elvis nights.

A very relaxing morning. The staff attentative, food presentation topnotch, delicious and plentiful. Coffee is Vail local. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cant wait to go back! A must do when passing through!
