We stumbled into this little gem of a restaurant while traveling through Las Cruces almost by accident, having found it spur of the moment on my Garmin GPS. We were looking for a “mom and pop” place, which is exactly what it turned out to be. The food servings were generous, reasonably priced, and delicious. I eat Mexican food (typically Tex-Mex) once or twice a week back home in Houston, and this place had the best salsa that I’d ever tasted! I liked it so much that I bought two pints to take home after we had finished lunch there. We had the Chimichanga plate and the Burrito dinner with green chili sauce. We got there about 15 minutes before closing time on a Sunday afternoon. While we were eating, the staff locked the door, but they kept letting people in every few minutes. All of these new guests sat at a big table and it appeared that they were having their own little party. Soon, our waitress explained to us that these were all of her and the owner’s relatives and they were just getting together for Sunday dinner. She then introduced them all to us, explaining how they were related, which made us feel like a part of her family as well. This place will feed you very well while making you feel like a special guest – something that most restaurants don’t even know how to do, but at Mi Pueblito, it’s obvious that both the food and the service come straight from the heart. When we visit family in Las Cruces, we try to eat here at least once each trip. It is an old-fashioned, hole-in-the-wall kind of a place that feels like a 50s diner. The service is always great, and so is the food. From simple tacos to chicken mole, lots of things to choose from. Their gorditas are actually crunchy instead of the doughy little grease balls most other places serve. And if you need gluten-free, you are in luck since most of the menu is safe for those of us needing G-free. :)

My favorite place to eat. They have the best Mexican food. Homestyle, homemade Mexican food, just like mom use to make. The prices are reasonable. Its small and homey, a clean place. I recommend it to everyone looking for a place to eat. The only thing I cam say that is bad, is there hours of operation.

So disappointed...would have rather eaten at a fast food restaurant...just awful...the guacamole was just smashed avocado....ordered chilaquiles...zero flavor...so bland...service was good & the restaurant was clean so Ill give it 2 stars...save your time & money...go somewhere else!!!

the mexican food here is great, the people that work there are now really good friends of ours and sometimes we even get our food free :) Im only 17 but I know good food when I taste it and this is it! shout out to the ppl who work there: Luise, Anna, martin and everyone else :D

Iv never eaten here and been disappointed, which is something I cant say about most restaurants iv been to. Its been a while since I was last here, so its possible that things have changed, but I doubt it

My family and I have eating here for years now. Food is great, as is the staff. If you want hot red enchiladas, just ask. The green enchiladas are great as are the enmoladas! :)

Awesome place! The staff here is super friendly. The salsa very hot but, damn good homemade salsa. I had the Caldo de Pollo. Two thumbs up :)
