Stopped in while in Leadville for bike races2017. Just wanted a beer and some food. First clue that this was a bad idea was when a friend pointed out there were more beers from other breweries than of their own. Tried one of they had on tap and I couldnt finish it because it was so skunky. Staff was pretentious. Also wouldnt let us bring our bikes in because its on a schetchy side street - but allowed dogs at the bar... My friend ordered a bratwurst and I was going to order some food also but caught a glimpse of the kitchen. Bartender handling money and food... Suggest if you want to eat there - dont look in the back. Or just avoid this place all together.

Centrally located in Leadville is this small brewery offering typical American craft beer styles (most stronger than they need to be). IPAs and Double IPAs and Black IPAs, so not a lot of range, but what they make is decent, no fermentation defects or flaws, but the beers were generic in character. Not a destination brewery but a place worth stopping to sample now and then to see if they expand their repertoire and try something more technical and interesting than resinous IPA variants. Could also do without the gruff and unwelcome beer bro staff who struggle even to say hello.

Waited over 10 minutes and watched everyone else at the bar get served and we were never greeted. They werent very busy but it seemed like the bartender was afraid to acknowledge us. A simple hello and we wouldve been happy as clams but standing there ignored was frustrating. Both me and my girlfriend work in the industry so we are usually pretty understanding but this experience was frustrating. Hopefully we can get served next time we go because we were really excited to try their beers.

Like previous people have stated; the beer tastes watered down - especially by standards set by other Colorado breweries. This was not as bad, however, as the appalling service we received from an impatient, rude, (bald) employee at the bar. He rolled his eyes at us, asked "nothing else?" when we ordered food and beer, and made us feel very unwelcome. That being said, it is unfortunate that our experience was ruined by one employee, because the other employees seemed very polite.

Highest brewery in the US, and the main option in Leadville. Good variety of styles at fair microbrewer prices, and well informed staff. Its an easy walk from just about anywhere in town. Enjoyed the connection between beer names and legs of the Leadville Trail 100 race, and enjoyed seeing several race finishers enjoying a round during my trip. If those athletes drink it, it must be good for you!

We drove all the way from Florida and looking for a great place to have a beer and we were not disappointed. Great Beer! Sugarloaf Amber Ale was our favorite. The atmosphere was nice. The bartender and owner were friendly. Great music playing (80s) at the time. Def a place to go chill. I bought a cool shirt from them and they gave us free stickers. Go check it out!

The beer is a little watered-down for Colorado standards. I believe this place is fairly new. I cannot comment on the food but they did have a menu for such. The horseshoe-shaped bar is an interesting idea however, the seating is somewhat awkward. The building itself is super cool vintage. Good location near the middle of Leadville.

For only being open since November 2015 (two months as of this writing) Pb has a solid lineup. They are currently making exclusively dark-colored beers -- the Belgian Dark Strong is not to be missed (and I cant wait to try it aged). The food selection in the taproom is limited, but pretty much all of it pairs with the American Brown.

This was a decent place to grab a drink if you are looking for a nearby place to go during your visit to Leadville. The brats were bland with very little flavor, and the bbq chicken sandwhich was pretty average, so I wouldnt necessarily recommend the food. The service was good.

Good beers, better BBQ, and an awesome atmosphere. The bartender helped us try as many brews as we wanted until we found the right pint. We got the cheese and meat board and the pulled pork sandwich, both being super tasty and well made. Will absolutely stop in again.

Small brewing company with tasty beers. Unfortunately, service was slow and unorganized, and taps are in a back room - weird. The food menu is small and decidedly mediocre for the $$. Currently its the only show in town, though Im sure that wont last.

So they are out (again) of 2 of only 4 beers on their menu. So you get a black IPA or a kolsch. There are too many other breweries to continue to support this. Its a Saturday night, you shouldnt be out of half your beer by 5pm. Brauts are good though.

The beer was great, food was solid, and the atmosphere was quiet and nice for lunch on a Monday. The prices were normal for a brewpub. The menu has some variety, but isnt overwhelming. Overall, we were very pleased (even our 4 kids, ages 5-13).

Tasty beers, small but also tasty bar food menu. Some of the beers are a bit pricey, ($6-$7), but the porter and double black ipa were worth it! Friendly local staff, good tunes and a big flat screen to watch the game. Ill be back.

We stopped for a flight tasting on our way to the hostel. The beer tasted so goooood after skiing and the place has a great vibe. We had a chance to enjoy the company of one of the owner, Oxie. We will be back.

Their beer is pretty good. Food is fair. No table sevice. They want you to order everything at the bar, even when the place is empty, Meh.

The beer was unremarkable at best. Customer service and the food has been the worse I ever had. They served uncooked chicken tacos!

Decent beer, great staff, they do a good job shuffling limited space and trying to accommodate. They have a rough job
