I wanted so much to love this restaurant, since we were staying on property but, alas it didnt happen. First, their bar drinks are very over priced unless happy hour is there. The margarita is not at all what i liked, so ask for extra agave if its bland and too strong. It fixes it a bit. We were seated shortly after 6pm on a wednesday. Not busy at all. The manager seated us, and was nice. We sat for about 15-20 minutes before the waiter came over. We ordered drinks and told him we were ready to order our food, when he walked away. So waited another 10 minutes before he came back to fill waters, and bring our ordered drinks. At which point ordered out appetizer, and dinners (2 adults, 3 kids). It was another 30 minutes before we asked for the manager since no food had come out, and water glasses stood empty. The manager told us she would make sure she fixed it. We got all the entree food out which was stale, cold, and did not taste good. 20 minutes later our "queso" appetizer came out. Im not sure why they call it "queso". It was literallt just melted cheese with no flavor. The manager, upon learning this, had the tacos remade and given to us to go. We were given 25% off of the food (which i didnt argue about simply because i didnt want to stay there any longer). I wasnt pleased, and i definitely wouldnt recommend this place. The server was slow and didnt even pay attention to us at all. The food wasnt great, especially for the price, even with 25% off.

If you want to try some Tucson favorites, Gringo is definitely a good place to go. There is a wide variety of options available on the menu to satisfy anyone, from traditional items such as steak to more unique specialties such as chile rellenos, both of which Ive tried before. Out of those, I actually preferred the chile relleno, but you cant go wrong with anything on the menu. While the steak was expensive at $30, most the menu is very reasonable, such as the chile relleno at only $10. The salsa that comes before the meal is quite exceptional as well. Finally, the service I have experienced at Gringo has never been short of superb. Gringo has always been a favorite of mine at a great and beautiful location

Great food! I love the scenic views that you get here, especially eating out on the patio. The food was incredibly tasty! The chicken quesadilla and the tacos there are pretty amazing. All of the ingredients tasted fresh and the presentation of the food was nice. The bar has a pretty extensive menu which is always a good thing. I cant speak for what it used to be like before all of the changes of ownership and whatnot, all I know is this is someplace I would highly recommend coming to, whatever the occasion. If youre on the fence about it technically being a "hotel restaurant", dont be. The food and the service and the staff are all great!

Delicious food, great service, and scenic views. I understand theres a new chef, so I cant speak to the changes before and after. I just know its more than I expected from a hotel resturant. Servers visited frequently, helpful with the menu for a first time visit, and helpful with tips for the area overall. Local and macro beer on tap, but not a huge selection as the focus is tequila. I had an amazing Kah tequila on the rocks, totally smooth and velvety. We split a juicy burger, (which was split!) tacos, and guac, all delicious and in heaping servings. Would highly suggest to fellow travelers!

Terrible over priced Mexican food! They tried to make it up scale mexican food but it doesnt work, I ordered the 3 tacos and the steak taco was so hard I couldnt eat them, u have to order chips and salsa, the salsa was ok but it was a super smal portion not worth the $3 u have to order sides separate...its a nice atmosphere but limited menu and not worth the money, if I apend $100 in a meal for 2 I expect to walk away impressed but in honesty I was terrible disappointed and still hungry....we will never go back

Im honestly not a tough critic at all but this was the worst mexican restaurant Ive been to in Tucson. There were 19 people there on a Monday at 630 and it took us 7-8 minutes to be seated. We ordered pretty much right away and took probably 30-35 minutes to get 3 tacos and a quesadilla. No chips or salsa while waiting either...just drank water for 30 minutes. I hope management sees this so they can get it together. It was not good at all. 2 stars because the food was actually decent.

THEY HAVE A NEW MANAGER! I went here a couple of times over the years out of convenience. Went again last night. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! The food is MUCH better. The staff and service is amazing! It isnt really authentic mexican it is Mexican American fusion (not Tex Mex, real culinary fusion) They must also have a new chef. Go, you will not be disappointed!

Took them 45 minutes from the point I asked for the check to when I finally left after paying. When I went to the register to ask again, I was told, "Maam, you need to be patient." I didnt make the event I was supposed to go to when I should have had plenty of time. Terrible service, I will NOT be coming back.

FANTASTIC...The food, the service, the atmosphere, and the prices. After reading the reviews Im not sure where they actually dined. Ben our waiter was excellent, the food edgy but felt like home made. Were going back today for Taco Tuesday and maybe my husband will have a ghost chili martini.

If you like small overpriced portions that arent that great, this is the place for you. This pretentious restaurant charges you $5 for chips and salsa while sitting you at a dirty table. And to put the crappy icing on the cake they lied to my girlfriend about gluten and now she is sick

Guacamole was good. Green chips 4 days after Saint Patricks Day pathetic. Mahi fish tacos were so salty I couldnt tell what I was eating. I was disappointed for a restaurant that was supposed to be a top ten for Southwestern food. I can only guess they bought that accolade.

Friendly service, a pleasant quaint ambience , very tasty food with a slight twist on traditional Mexican cuisine . A little pricey for the portion size . For instance $ 12.00 for three mixed small tacos that come with no sides.

Very small menu, maybe 25 items. But oh my gosh! The food is excellent. I had the chicharron ceron and elotes. My daughter had the creamy rice and beans. Excellent food, great service.

Bar prices way over priced, food not very good. Four of us will never go back until hopefully new owners take over. I have lived here 51 years. Good luck.

Modern Mexican food, definitely Not authentic Mexican food. More on the pricey side. I will come again, if someone is buying.
