Review of Las Palmas Mexican Restaurant. Location: northwest corner of George Dieter and Vista Del Solar. This is a strip mall, so parking can be a tad challenging. For me, one of the first indicators of a successful restaurant dining experience, is how the staff demonstrates appreciation of the patronage. Upon opening the front door, we were immediately warmly greeted by the assistant manager Daniel. From the moment we entered, we were treated like family, not just customers Daniel escorted us to our table and introduced us to our server Art. A delightful conversation ensued as Daniel made inquiry of our history in El Paso in general, and his restaurant in particular. He took this opportunity to advise us of Las Palmass particular cuisine offered on the menu. As Daniel returned to greeting new patrons entering the restaurant, he passed us to Art for further assistance with menu selections. Art made several suggestions for dinner options. We chose to follow his recommendations of Gorditas, and Seafood Enchiladas. Both proved excellent ! The Gorditas were filled with a number of succulent fillings options. Pork, Brisket, and Ground Beef. Simply delicious! The Seafood Enchiladas proved exceptional as well. We completed the dinner with a dessert of fresh crispy soppapillias. It was obvious that every ingredient used in tonights dinner was completely fresh. Flavors were sharp, crisp, and full bodied. This meal was exceptional ! As dessert was coming to an end, Mike, the restaurant manager stopped by our table for a very hands on customer survey regarding our satisfaction with our dinning experience. His warmth and attentiveness demonstrated why the staff is so successful in making the customers feel welcomed. My wife and I expect that we will have many more return visits to Las Palmas restaurant in our remaining months here in El Paso.

Hated it. Not even worth my time. I took one look at the menu... ITS ALL MECICAN FOOD! WTH!? And the salsa! Dont even get me started it was green chilli salsa with the perfect ammount of cilatro. Like some food engineer had perfectly ballanced all of the flavors in it so that it was mathematically perfect salsa. It was the kind of salsa i would expect to come out of a Star Trek food replicator, thats how too perfect the salsa was. And their home made corn tortilla chips were aslo nearly mathematically perfect like someone calculated it to 9 decimal places of perfection. And the clenliness of the restaurant was just conpletely wrong. It was so perfectly clean not even remotely authentic for any mexican establishment!

My husband and I would pass through and always seemed packed and people waiting, could not imagine the wait time. Then it was recommended by one of our sons. So we finally decided to stop...Hostess was friendly and cordial, and the wait was short. It was a pleasant atmosphere and clean. And the waiter, to our amazement, was also the bar manager. Thank you Juan, for making our experience a good one and a place to come back to and try other foods on the menu. The food was deliously prepared and could see and taste the freshness. The carrot cake a must try. Would recommend to locals and outside visitors.

One of the best Mexican food restaurants Ive eaten at. The chips and salsa was not bad a little on the spicy side. Service was good and the food was absolutely delicious. The only issue I have here is that they dont bring the entire tables food out at one time. I witnessed other parties of four receive their food in three different trips spanning a total of five minutes. We were a table of two and one plate was brought out and the second plate came out six minutes after. Not a hard concept to bring it all at once I belive. Thats why I gave this establishment 4/5 *.

I have been coming here for years. I love their food. But tonight was disappointing. The barracho beans had too much bacon (this coming from a bacon lover!) And were over cooked. So the flavor was off. I ordered a side of rice. The rice was dry and it was obvious the microwaved it to heat it. The relleno was dry and lacked flavor. My taco was great. Salsa was great. Guac was great. Ill give them 3/5 tonight because our server was nice.

So I have been eating at this place since it was gold wayyyy back in the day here at the George dieter location. Never have I been disappointed by the food or the service. The manager, Mike, is always all over his resturant ensuring that every customer is more than taken care of. If you have never tried this place out...Im sorry, you have been missing out. I strongly recommend this place for the best Mexican food in El Paso!

This place had a pretty good selection of food. They do have burgers for those who would like something a little more American. The food was great, the atmosphere was great, the bathrooms were great, and the prices were reasonable. The only complaint: the windows were not very tinted and let in light, making it difficult to see people who are towards the window from you. Other than that, I would def unruly recommend this.

The service was good and the food is okay but what made it for me was the modern feel and the drinks. They had a great couple of bartenders at first that where fun and could make some great margaritas but the same drinks have ran flat and found out that those 2 are gone I assume that could be the problem. Hope they can work on it if so ill be back to my once a week visits.

We had Randy as a server and Juan as the bar manager, and let me tell you, best experience ever. The food was to die for, the drinks are cheap but amazing and they have THE BEST spicy cucumber margarita complimens of Juan. And the service is so welcoming, fast, and helpful. Recommend them 100%, dont visit El Paso without visiting Las Palmas! :)

Amazing! Im not a local in El Paso, but I enjoyed my amazing dinner! The service was the greatest! The food was phenomenal! The only reason why I didnt give a full five stars is because it took a little bit too long for our food to come out. Otherwise, I do recommend this restaurant for any locals or for anyone who is going to stop in El Paso!

We were treated very well by the staff. We had one last night in the US before going overseas. Las Palmas was with out question the place we wanted to visit. Good food for a fair price. Try the poppers... awesome. Much gratitude to Jonathan and Randy for making our visits a wonderful experience.

Been coming here since it opened. I have NEVER had a bad meal. Greeters are friendly and cordial, the waitstaff is as good as any five star restaurant I have visited. The food is always deliously prepared and presented, and the price is very modest. I highly recommend!!
