ive ordered from every asian delivery/takeout in lakewood area. this place is my favorite for a few reasons. the meat is the right balance between quality and quantity. but for the little extra price it should be extra cared for. they dont have a standard system for their food, its like every dish has its own mass consistency like they balanced them to get the general tsos right with the glaze so that the meat still has a nice fried flavor while letting chicken through. they fill their containers full, which ARENT Styrofoam! the place is very cool, the restaurant has a nice pseudo japanese triad dungeon feel. the sushi was well made and proportions were again acceptable, but the ginger was amazing, well cut, i love thick ginger when its this fresh! the eel is my favorite, and ive not found another place that satisfies my unagi craving since tokyo joes quit serving it, quite like this place does. honestly enjoyed the eel roll so much that i wish i had ordered two instead of the california since i wished i had more after. usually eel roll is too strong after one, and you need a lighter roll like the california to really finish it crisply with the dark alluring succulation i get from the all amazing eel! but they really create a fine, clean sensation from their food. it doesnt leave you terribly wanting more. no stuff your face feeling. you eat this food, and you feel an orgasm of taste and pleasure to what asian fusion in america should be more like. but when youre full you dont have to keep eating. its nice.

My fiance and I are vegan and we LOVE this place. They make a "Monk Chicken" which is a soy or seitan based meat substitute. Oh my god - it is so good. You can get it any of the styles they have, for example General Tsos Monk Chicken, or my favorite: Royal Monk Chicken. They also do a tofu dish that is so damn good, called "Garlic Pepper Tofu" which is crispy, savory, and spicy. If you like jalapenos, you gotta try that even if youre not vegan/vegetarian. Other good stuff that Ive tried is the Korean soup (I forget what its called). They can do a vegan broth for you if you wish. They are very accommodating as well if you are not interested in the plentiful vegan/vegetarian options already on the menu. I have also tried their vegan "Monk Beef" which is also good but not as good as the Monk Chicken. I am told the real meat options are also very tasty. Also, we do cheat sometimes and have fish. Weve had the sushi a few times and it was very good. We have tried rolls, nigiri, as well as sashimi. Very good. The drink specials are also quite good on beer and cocktails. The decor is nothing fancy, and the service is fairly good. Easy parking, OK pricing. The FLAVORFUL FOOD IS WHERE THIS PLACE SHINES. I have eaten here at least 20 times, including getting delivery and takeout. Very consistently good and always feel good after eating their food.

Ive eaten here many times and have found that the food and service is very good... Except tonight. The air conditioning was broken and it was so hot. On top of that the service was terrible. The waitress have our sushi order to a take out order, half of us had food served and the other half had to wait. They didnt refill water glasses even as hot as it was and she forgot that someone ordered a glass of wine until everyone was almost done eating. As a business person I wouldve offered to discount the ticket or one entree at no charge or something! We were offered nothing not even 10% off the next time we came in. I dont think Ill be going back anytime soon.

Ordered Sesame chicken, which was not bad but not particularly noteworthy. As it was lunch, the low priced entree came with a generous portion of chicken, rice, a small cup of soup, and an eggroll. It was all included for around $7.50, which seems like a fantastic deal for the amount of food you get. We also ordered pork-bun dim-sum and they were perfect, fresh and well priced. The service was pretty good, and the food came rather quickly. Taste 6/10 Portions 10/10 Price 10/10 Service 8/10 Comfort 5/10 (seriously, those booths need some cushions)

My husband and I stopped here 5 minutes before closing last night. I NEVER do that to restaurant employees, but we really had a long, tough day, so we stopped just to see if theyd throw something together. Drunken noodles with beef were tasty and amazing. Pad Thai was mediocre compared to other places Ive been to for thai food. However, I must give them props for fielding a customer so close to closing time & for being courteous throughout the entire transaction. I will definitely try it again during normal business hours!

I work nearby this restaurant and I like the food and when ever Ive eaten in the restaurant the service is really slow. I will order to pick up but I think its the most idiotic thing that the owner has a policy that they cannot substitute an egg roll for a crab cheese wonton not even for an additional charge. Its a simple request but it seems they cannot accommodate the simplest request for a customer.

I called made an order I asked for a couple extra packs of soy sauce they usually only give me one so I always ask for a couple extra this was an order for two people. 10 minutes goes by Purple Ginger calls me back and wants to charge me for the two small packs of soy sauce. I cant believe it still cant believe it. They have really gone down hill as of late. Steer Clear is my advice.

Just order Pad thai for the first time. It was the most horrible Thai food I have ever eaten not even hot the sauce is like paste like spaghetti, the lettuce wraps came with mushrooms which it didnt say it did so now i cant eat them. The only thing that was ordered was Californian rolls and my boyfriend said they were good. I will never eat at the purple ginger again.

I ordered delivery it came faster than estimated, which was great. Ordered wantons and veggie noodles. Noodles were good wantons had expired funky smelling cream cheese. When I called to ask about the cheese they said its cause they changed the oil in the fryer......NO its bad cheese GROSS. Wont order again. Lu House is where its at.

"Woohoo! As good as it gets!" "Loved it!" "Im going back tomorrow!" "Same!" Delectable delicacies danced through my evening, daring, delicious Weathers awful, drivers down, nerves are frayed- but free wontons to us! An unnecessary (but appreciated) additional cheer. "It was Chine-easily the best!" "We won-tons more!"

The pad thai was actually pretty good. Not the best but not the worst. The drunken noodles were dry, dissappointing. The spring rolls were horrible. They were basically a few shrimp and a ton of shredded lettuce. I wont be ordering from here again. Although, the woman who took my order was very nice.

Well, we cant rate the food because we never got to order. Called to order for delivery and Lori asked to put us in hold. 18 minutes later we hung up and called back. After we told Lori what happened, she said she "forgot". We said we werent sure if we wanted to order now and she hung up on us.
