We had reservations and dined at Chart House last night. It was overall OK. The bar/lounge at CH was nice, the bartender was good, had nice recommendations. The hostess came to tell us they had a table for us, she then walked away and it required we return back to the front desk to be seated, she didnt take us from the lounge to our table, just a little odd. The server once we arrived at our table was OK, not exceptional or great. He was task driven, what I mean by this is he was multi-tasking while interacting with us at the table, his attention was not towards the guests, it was towards his tasks. We spent just over an hour in the restaurant, the selections were limited; the meal was good; the spinach salad was exceptional, a nice yummy dinner. Was this meal worth the $$$$, NO The price was 2X what we usually spend at our favorite restaurant and we did not purchase a bottle of wine. The specialty dessert that was pitched early and was focused more on the fact that "it takes 30 minutes to prepare, so we (CH) just need you to know that and get that going if you want that." "We opted out" of their Godiva Brownie whatever (see I cannot even remember the details, just the it takes 30 minutes to prepare) since we were looking forward to mud pie anyway. The restaurant was NOT busy which was of some surprise since it is Restaurant Week. We did not go there to participate in their Restaurant Week Special Menu, we selected from their regular dining menu. The attention to details was lost, this was a special occasion for my husband and I. The final point to spark this review was the "Pitch" that we listened to at two prior tables to "Sell a membership as a Landrys Member"... for an additional $25 you too can become a Landrys Select Member and get X,Y,Z rewards when you dine at any of our blah, blah, blah. restaurants. Not something I expected, and it really dulled the overall experience. Short Review: If you want an exceptional dining experience with personal service especially if you have a special occasion you may wish to select another restaurant. The Chart House was a restaurant of our past and that is where it will return.

We had a horrible experience. After calling around Denver for a special place to celebrate our daughter graduation, we settled on Chart House. What a HUGE mistake this was. After confirming our reservation and special commemorative menu highlighting her achievement the day before we were sadly disappointed upon arrival. We along with our out of town guest arrived 10 minutes early for our "first seating" time slot only to be told we would have to wait. A slight wait I get but for a first seating when the restaurant is empty to have to wait until 20 minutes after your reservation is ridiculous. There were plenty of wait staff hanging around talking but not attending to their guest. Next we were sat at our table and given generic menus, not the pre arranged commemorative menus we had discussed twice with management. From there the night went completely down hill. Our server finally greeted us her service was fair at best. We waited over 10 minutes for water and another 15 for our wine. The food was HORRIBLE and nobody at the table even finished their meals. I will never, ever return to this establishment for any occasion. let alone a special one. They made our special dinner celebrating such a wonderful life achievement a terrible experience. I hope whoever reads this review takes what I am saying to heart.

We were seated promptly. This place has a weird layout when youre seated in seats "with a view" and you are extremely close to other patrons. The view is of I-70. We were also ignored for 15 minutes. Nobody came by, poured water, or acknowledged us in any way. There were plenty of servers standing around at the salad bar. The place was well-staffed and about 1/2 full. Lots of people trying ot look busy but doing very little. The busboy re-arranged a the settings at an empty table of 8 two or three times. Youd think the A-staff would be there at 6pm on a Saturday night. Rather than dealing with slow service, we opted to leave. When asked why, we explained, and they did offer to let us talk to a manager. But at that point, why bother? Wed be "the picky inpatient couple" and I would rather go to a restaurant where our invisibility shield wasnt so strong. In fact, we did go to another place (rating them 5 stars), and we ended up spending about half of what we would have at Chart house -- a place thats apparently very impressed with itself.

We went to the Chart House to celebrate my birthday. Although we had made an advanced reservation our table was not ready upon our arrival so we took a seat in the bar. Both my boyfriend and I enjoy champagne, however there are only 3 choices on the menu. We ordered our first choice and was informed that they were out of stock. We ordered our second choice and it was brought to our table, warm. When we asked to exchange it for a colder bottle, the manager came to our table and tried to convince us to keep the bottle. Finally after some debate he unhappily, agreed to exchange it for us. The second bottle was only slightly below room temperature. In my book customer service is extremely important and sets the tone for the dining experience. If we were experiencing a problem, the manager should have tried to correct it for us, not debate it with us. The food was marginal, however our server was very pleasant. There are many other restaurants serving better steaks and cold champagne. I would not go back to the Chart House. PIT

Upon our arrival we were promptly seated, same seats we had last year on our anniversary. Maya, our server for the evening explained they were very busy for a Thursday and we told her not a problem, We are here to relax. After a few cocktails and appetizers, all excellent. We ordered our main entree. For being very busy we got our order in good time. The steak and lobster was excellent,as well as the spicy ahi tuna my wife ordered. Maya was extremely helpful thru out our evening. Her knowledge of the menu was spot on as well as her service. I read other reviews and people complain about slow service. If you are in a hurry I would suggest you go to one of those "Texas Roadkill Joints". A dinner like this must be savored and enjoyed. Good conversation is a lost art. Leave your I-Phone in the car, Relax and enjoy the moment. We are looking forward to our next visit.

We had received a gift card to this resturant as we often travel from Denver to Summet County. Last night we decided to stop in. It was about 5PM on a Saturday night and we did not have a reservation. We were warmly greeted and given a nice table by the fireplace with a window close by. Our service was supurb with servers covering for each other in a team fashion. They were all bright and cheerful and helpful. Our dinners were excellent (Steak and Lobster and Prime rib) nicely prepared and presented. The salids were very tasty and we skipped the dessert being bearly able to eat what we had already ordered. Dinner with appitizer and one round of drinks was just over $100 for two. We feel this was appropriate for an excellent experience.
