The seafood tofu soup was one of the worst I have ever eaten. You could count the pieces of seafood, 4 small shrimp, 3 small pieces of fish and maybe, maybe 8 small pieces of imitation crab, had plenty of broth and close to forty small slices of tofu. The server that brought the LOL "SEAFOODless" tofu soup looked embarrassed to serve the water called soup. The walnut lobster was acceptable, the chicken and yellow chive noodle was good. Service was fine and is the only reason for the third star. When asked if we wanted to take the soup to go, we smiled and asked why would we want it? There is nothing to take, except broth. The waitress said that was what seafood tofu soup is served. Sorry, but there is more seafood in a cup of seafood tofu soup any where else we have ordered. Definitely not a place to order soup again.

Arco is a bit on the pricier side of restaurants I hit up in Chinatown, but often time I take out of town guests here, especially the germaphobic ones, for their dim sum and clean bathrooms. If you have been to other hole in the wall restaurants in Chinatown you may be familiar with the overall lack of hygiene in most restaurants in Chinatown. Personally, I don’t mind since nothing here has compared to the dirtiness I have seen in restaurants in Asia. The dim sum here is pretty standard, not the best in town but it will satisfy a dim sum craving. The most unique dishes they serve at dim sum that many other restaurants do not are the Beef Brisket and Tendon Cheung Fun and the X.O. Sauce Turnip Cakes. The service is nothing to rave about so just get your dim sum order ready quickly for the quickest service.

Arco is one of the only places in Houston to dine on proper Cantonese style banquet and seafood dishes. The dim sum lacks variety, but what they produce directly out of their kitchen is fresh. They avoid rolling carts. Their cheung fun (rice noodles) have a nice chew with good amounts of filling, their Phoenix buns are flowing with sticky goodness. However, avoid the turnip cake, since they add insufficient sausage. The seafood is cooked particularly well if not ordered fried. The preserved cabbage with braised pork belly, crispy skinned roast chicken and walnut shrimp are crowd pleasers.

I and my family usually come here for lunch or dinner on weekends. I like the food here but theres one thing I dont appreciate is the service of one waitress. She always so rude to people and I have seen how she treated other customers too. She has shoulder length hair, kinda chubby, I know her name is Mei because she served our table before, and today she waited our table again but when I have question on my order she answered very rude and her expression were very angry at me like I beg her for the food. Totally insulted!!! She needs to change the way how she treat people better!!

I went to dim sum with my kid. The food is not bad. However I would never come back again. Here is my reason why. After we are done with eating and everything. I was sitting there just doing some stuff on my phone. The waiter came over and asked me to leave due to customer waiting. I was like what the heck. at the time there were a empty table but he came right over and ask me to leave with reason another customers were waiting. This is the first time I ever experience with rude. I just cant explain how they let it happens in the first place.

When we walked in, no one served us right away even though it was not busy and there were plenty of empty tables. A worker even looked at us and proceeded to go somewhere else. Service was okay, food was okay, but the thing that pissed my family off was the bill. We were a family of four yet our waitress charged us an 18% gratuity. WHAT? FOR A FAMILY OF FOUR! Ridiculous. Will not be coming back EVER. There are plenty of other good restaurants around the area for better quality and service.

Fabulous fresh seafood! We tried the shrimp with walnuts, chicken curry, scallops and basil chicken! The scallops were incredibly fresh in a light breading with not a hint of heaviness or oil. The curry was fresh ground - not bottled and mixed with a hint of coconut milk. The shrimp were large and lightly breaded with a light white orange sauce. Delicious! Also try the fresh snow pea greens with garlic. The house chardonnay at $20/bottle was also an amazing value.

We used a Groupon there and price is very reasonable and food is tasty among its peers. The only complaint is the table arrangement allows only narrow aisle and the whole room seems really crowded. Note they have a promotion going on less than $200 for 10 people, with double lobster and Peking duck included in the serving, this could be a blast.

Delicious authentic cantonese food served family style, with excellent wait staff who are fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Really good seafood, but ask if its frozen or fresh. I got a frozen fish that was great, but I wish I had asked.

We came for dim sum on Sunday and its really busy. The place is not large, with round tables in the middle and booths around. The dim sum are pretty good but the selections is limited. Its also hard to find a table.

1 star for service. Waiters were socializing while we waited for our order to be taken. Left after 15 mins, paid for our drinks. Didnt get to sample dishes so I cant rate the food.

Worse place to eat. Food sucks and workers are rude and demand for a certain amount of tips. Can not believe it and will NEVER go back ever!

Its okay for dim sum (not the best place, not many choices, but okay). Avoid lunch during weekend (way too many people and noises).

The sole fish and tofu mixed with the basil chicken is the best combination ever. Huge menu which is great for family style dining!
