I visited this place during happy hour. I ordered the Happy Hour Sampler and some extra oysters as an appetizer. The boiled shrimp was delicious, the oysters were disappointingly small, and the snow crab legs were cold which I was not used to coming from Houston where they are served hot. For entrees I ordered the lobster roll and the shrimp po-boy which were both great. The lobster roll had huge lumps of meat and came with house house made potato chips which were surprisingly delicious. The fried shrimp in the po-boy were lightly battered which allowed for the seafood flavor to still show through and it came with garlic potatoes which were overly greasy. Lastly, for drinks I tried the Bangkok fizz, some cucumber drink, and the sangria. The Bangkok fizz had a little spicy kick to it which was great and the sangria was good. I was not a fan of the cucumber drink. Overall, I gave it a 4 out of 5 since the main dining area was a little too loud for my liking due to the live music playing plus seating felling a little too crowded.

This is a good spot for all kinds of occasions, whether date night or going out with friends. Most recently, I came here with the boyfriend. We had an 8 oclock reservation on a Saturday night, which was a good thing because it was packed. We had to wait a few minutes after our reservation time for our table to open up. Luckily, wed gotten there a little early to have some drinks at the bar so it was fine. The bartender was a bit distant, but like I said, they were very busy. Our server was fantastic. She was so sweet, gave great recommendations, and let us take our time. I really enjoyed that she gave us plenty of space in between the oysters, appetizers, and entrees. After much debate, I landed on the Korean BBQ Swordfish and the boyfriend got the King Crab Pasta. The entrees were not huge. Frankly, after half a crab cake and more than half an order of brussels sprouts, I couldnt have handled a massive entree so I was pleased.

This place truly conveys all the energy of a place trying too hard to please. Although maybe dampered personally by the advantage of having lived near ocean sources of fresh seafood.. I feel as a place conveying "fresh" as possible for their location, everything is prepared in hopes that the unfortunate "All American" palate that revels in over. salted. everything. will enjoy the idea of seafood and ignore the disappointment of portion and overall satisfaction for the price.. Ive heard from plenty who recommended it to only go during Happy Hour.. That may be where we missed the mark.. It is possible that if I had drank twice as many of their mediocre Marys, and ate twice as much of their mediocre treats of the sea, for half the price, mayyybe I wouldnt have left hungry for real food.. Go to Stout Street Social instead on half price Oyster night, and truly enjoy yourselves. We wish we had.

Indoor, outdoor and rooftop dining areas all great. This visit, we dined al fresco, rooftop, which I might say, is better for conversation, versus main floor indoor dining area which tend to be loud specially after 6pm. Our choices were both winners! The King Crab Pasta - spicy goodness of pappardelle pasta cooked perfectly al dente. I was torn with which tasted best, the big tomatoes, the lumps of crab or the pasta sauce just needing a piece of bread so I could soak up what was left on my plate....just sooo good. Blue crab cake, which is only offered as an appetizer, has always been a favorite so we just ordered 2 to make it a full dinner entree, yes (!), THAT good!Really hope Jax offer it as a full entree. Customer service was great from the Hostess to our server. Vibe is casual yet classy comfortable. Reservation DEFINITELY recommended.

We went here for my step-mothers birthday. We were aware of the prices before we went. When we got there, we ordered oysters which were pretty good!! I had a hard time deciding what to order for my dinner. I decided on the Maine lobster roll. I thought it tasted pretty bad. The sauce wasnt seasoned, it just tasted like fish and bread that was really wet, I had to put ranch on my lobster, no one should have to do that!!!! Even though I was aware that this was a pricey restaurant, it took a lot for my to buy a $28 sandwich. My boyfriend got the fried catfish and he liked it, but the portions were quite small for the price. Our service was great, but the food was sub par.

We went on Saturday with some of my husbands family. The food was absolutely delicious, the seasoning they use on the shrimp makes it even better. We also got calamari with the sauces they include, they were beyond good. The only thing that wasnt that great about this restaurant was our waitress. She didnt seem very attentive at all, we waited about 20 minutes for her to notice we all needed drinks; when she had already came to bring us extra plates a few times prior. I understand we had a big table, but even then its a little ridiculous to have to bring it to her attention that we all needed drinks!

My wife and I went here for our anniversary. The food was great and service was phenomenal. I ordered the Crab Carbonara which was a delicious. For dessert we got the Smores Torte which was even better. They even gave us two complimentary glasses of champagne and a card for our anniversary. The only thing we werent super pleased with was the caviar. It was such a tiny amount and wasnt very flavorful. With a price tag of 20 bucks, it was not worth it at all. Perhaps the more expensive caviars on the menu wouldve been tastier but you wont see me spending upwards of 100 bucks on fish bubbles.

This is probably my favorite place to go for happy hour in Denver. $1.50 oysters - and they are really good and shucked expertly(no grit). The charbroiled oysters are pricey at $3.50 each, but they are great. The lobster roll is amazing, though personally Id prefer the aoili had a little more of an egg yolk flavor to it - I think the richness would work add more depth of flavor. The drinks are really good and the wait staff have been awesome both times Ive went. If you like oysters you need to visit Jax for happy hour.

Great happy hour drinks and food!! Amazing seafood! I always got fried oysters until Will the raw bar chef asked what I didnt like about raw oysters. He suggested a few and I found the kusshi oysters to be absolutely spectacular. First raw oyster I could eat as much as I eat sushi. Highly recommend this place. If you go alone or a small group try to sit at the bar. Such a great staff!! Dont forget to try the mussels and frites, and the Kimchi slider.

Amazing and consistent food. Many beer options ranging from local to imported and micro brews. Full bar with artistic drink recipes. Great wine list. Happy hour makes this relatively $$$ menu to expensive east coast oysters down to $1.50 each(YESSSS). $16 entrees to $5-$9 which is well worth the food quality of dishes. I visit Denver once every year to year and a half and ALWAYS make this place a priority on one of the nights.
