This place could be a lot of fun and a local watering hole. However, the bartenders are angry and non friendly. The young blonde bartender is rude and and has no concept of customer service. The bartender manager is great, but her employees do not realize their position. If you want to feel like you dont matter, this is the place. Food is actually decent for bar food, but the bartenders feel the world revolves around them. Im coming from DTC and will make sure I tell everyone this is NOT the place for happy hour. Give them a try, because the food is decent, but dont come here looking for a place to drink and relax or have a good time. angry grumpy angry... I long for the day of a smile and a bartender that enjoys her job. This is not a place to come unless yo want to be treated like you dont matter. Based on the comments. I dont think the owner cares that employees are costing them money.

Im on a quest to find the best burger in denver and of course this place came up on my radar. I read a lot of these reviews and was confused by the vast differences between them. Most people either think its heaven on earth or a complete dump. I went last night to check it out. I sat down and was greeted within 30 seconds, my drink was brought to me instantly, my order was taken within moments of putting my menu down, and my food was out in less than 10 minutes. Im not sure if I met the notorious "Jules" or not, but I found the staff to be attentive and friendly, bordering on flirtatious. The burger was pretty darn good. It probably wont be the best youve ever had in your life, but youll be very pleased. I cant think of anything bad to say about the experience, but I think some of these reviewers might get excited a little too easily. Bottom line, if you go youll enjoy it.

I have been going to City Pub for a couple of years now, food is good, patrons are friendly. We recently had a really negative experience. If Jessica is your waitress or bartender, keep a very close eye on your CC, she is very neglectful of returning your credit card to you in person. She left our CC unattended on the waitress station for over 15 minutes. We advised her otherwise and when we returned a week later she treated us like complete crap and told us to never return. No problem, you just lost about $400 of business a month little chicken neck. Actually, it does not reveal that if you check all the many, many times we frequented City pub. To be frank with you, I am a bartender myself, and I would never run off patrons that pay, tip well and cause no trouble. She is not a business building bartender.

Walking in, the atmosphere felt like a fun, relaxed dive bar. However, the service was just really poor from the get go - not friendly, and not at all attentive or professional... Basically absent. We had a large party that we had made a reservation for a month in advance. It was a surprise birthday party and we were really looking forward to it being fun and special. We waited a long time for everything - orders, drinks, food etc... We would be sitting with empty glasses for 20 minutes waiting to order more beer but no one ever came by to check in. We likely would have stayed much longer and spent more money and bought more drinks, but the service was just so off-putting, after we finally had our dinner we wanted to get out of there ASAP.

Great food - honestly some of the best (across the menu) food Ive had at a bar... the burgers are exceptional, the chicken fried chicken is the BEST IVE EVER HAD. Their barbecue sauce is next to none as well, seriously - proprietary recipe, and DELICIOUS - stop in on a Thursday evening for ribs (not on the menu, just a thursday night thing). Food is well worth it - and if youre looking for a restaurant style, they have restaurant seating available away from the bar atmosphere. Great players at the pool table too - if youre looking for a good game, you can typically find one. Dont expect to be able to get a group on the pool table though... typically it has a line.

On the afternoon of the 21st of July, my friend, from out of town, and I decided to grab something to eat and try citypub for drinks. upon arrival we entered an empty building with no music playing and two ill manner waitresses, chatting up a storm, who refused to even make eye contact with us. After asking if the establishment was open, our reply was " ummmm, does it look like we are open. yaaa " and then went back to talking. So then we ask if we could sit anywhere? Our reply was "What does the sign say?" We then left with no intentions of trying the food or returning. If the service is this sad, you can assume the food of the same quality.

The city burger was tasty when it finally arrived. Sitting with a group of 18 at a surprise bday party (with reservations) having picked the place I felt guilty while looking around and seeing every glass empty. Service was terrible at best and was very over priced. Dinner for two cost us $80 And after the waitress split it by two somehow we had two $42 bills. I would not recommend this place. Oh and I asked if they would give us a shot for the birthday boy, they said yes but we would have to pay for it.

The sign out front doesnt lie, Best Burger in Denver, hands down. Blueberry Habanero wings are out of this world. I asked for the CityPub Burger, medium well. The Burger was served to me just as I asked, and tasted great. French Fries were hot and seasoned. Beer was cold ,theyve even got Stella on tap! Honestly a great experience. Tons of TVs, great service, enjoyable atmosphere. CityPub stands by there product and I can see why. Rich, the owner, has got something to be proud of .Well be coming back for more.

I was there on October 13 I think might have been a couple of days earlier, I went in my girlfriend and she got the ceasar chicken salad and I got the fish and chips and had a bloody marry each and a shot. I like the atmosphere and Jessica the bartender was great she is the reason I gave two stars. The salad was dry my fish was burnt hard and dry. The worst part was the check way to much to spend on food that we didnt even eat. I doubt we will go back, if we did it would be just drinks with Jessica.

Im pretty fond of this place. Not everything on the menu is quite up to par though. They could benefit from trimming the menu options just a bit to focus on what theyre best at. I can say the burgers and smothered burritos have always been very tasty though. Ive always received lovely service from both the bartender and the wait staff. A great place for a lot of good beer, some games (billiards, darts, etc) and a bite to eat. A good choice for a relaxing evening with friends

first time at this place its bingo night I cant talk to who I came w/ bc the guy running bingo is yelling the bingo numbers SOOOO damn loud. Im am trying to finish my stale ass beer bc the headache he has created is starting to turn into a migraine. only reason I gave 2 stars is bc the bartender was sweet. never again. what a headache. & idek if you ppl notice rich the owners response to olegs review. completely rude & unprofessional!!!
