This is your run-of-the-mill hole-in-the-wall bar with a couple pool tables and a couple arcade units. The bar does a good job of making simple drinks which is all I care about there. If youre properly buzzed, the food will suffice as sustenance to keep you going and happy. Dont come here for the food though, come here for the drinks and to relax. There is one thing that is hard to explain. The inside of the building has an awkward design that looks like a quickly erected extension for the pool room. There was no thought into the room properly accommodating pool tables as you are constantly running your pool cue into tables and walls, while your feet are running into walls, beer kegs, and tables. Beer kegs? Yep. So if you have any pool skills, youll be frustrated beyond belief with every shot... and if you have no pool skills youll have more than enough excuses for your failed shots. ;)

I had a super blast last night. Karaoke night on Thursday at the Hideaway is awesome and its going to be my normal routine from now on. I had so much fun last night singing and just enjoying myself and the company of others. The food is bar food and no matter where it comes from its prepared with love, last night I had chips and con queso, french fries, and onion rings it was all good. Because I was sharing my chips and corn queso with the rest of my party, the one platter was not enough I had to order 3. Offering a triple chips and con queso would be awesome. The staff was exceptionally friendly and did their job quite well. This is a small bar that is extremely cozy like a finished basement in someones house. I felt very welcome and comfortable to just relaxing unwind and enjoy myself. Thanks for the good times Jay and Cheryl Maggard (Lizzard)

I came to this restaurant expecting delicious food based off of the reviews I saw. When we got there, the place was practically empty. The waitress came over and gave us our menus and didnt even give us a chance to look at the menu before asking what we would like to drink. The menu is very bland and thus far should be easy to make. Clearly that was not the case, the food was soggy with grease and looked very distasteful to the eye. The waitress took way longer to get us our check then it should have considering there was two other people there. It took her 30 minutes to even come over and check on us!!! I will not be recommending this to any of my friends.

I use to love coming to this place, but now its just another run down business. I love to sing and let out some steam but lately every time I go the same people sing over and over and over. If your not buddy buddy with the owner Becky or the karaoke dj jimmy you get skipped. Especially if you happen to enjoy singing the same songs Becky likes to sing dont plan on singing. Other nights they close at 10 because they are so slow. Well the slowness is truly a reflection of the service you get here.

I love the Hideaway. Its another place that people in Castle Rock or passing travelers can go to make them feel comfortable and at home. The owners are awesome and continue to try and bring new things to the local crowd that will keep them coming back for more like different menu items, Bronco football perks and Sunday morning brunch with bottomless Mimosas and a Bloody Mary bar. Karaoke with Jimmy on Thursdays and Saturdays is always a blast! Good food, good brews, good crew, good times!!

This is really a great place for locals and road travelers to eat and relax! It is the Colorado version of a pub. You can meet all different kinds of folks here and they all get along well! Castle Rockers can go and hang out at a place where the staff will great you with a smile, know your name, and feed you well! If you are looking for good pub food that is reasonably priced, this is a place I highly recommend. The Monte Cristo is fantastic! The new French Dip is awesome! Great Music!

The best part of hideaway is the staff and ownership. I have only good experiences with all of the bartenders, and wait staff but especially with Jim, the DJ for karaoke, and Becky the owner, who both are welcoming and engaging and treat everyone as friends. If Castle Rock had a CHEERS, this would be it. For those who did not like the food, I suggest the Monte Cristo with raspberry sauce. ! Delicious! And sit out on the balcony when the weather is nice to add to the experience!

Have gone a couple times to make sure it wasnt just the one time. If you want something like a long island, margaritas or such... Dont. They cant mix drinks and a lot of stuff is premade so taste like crap with little alcohol and a big price! Stick with only beer. Not to mention our service was bad due to our waitress spending more time at the table with guys flirting. Better places by far in Castle Rock.

We are relocating to Castle Rock and decided to drop by for a late lunch. They have really good food. My wife and daughter say the burgers are excellent. The pulled pork is also good as are the onion rings. I agree with the earlier comments about the noise from i25, but it isnt under the control of the Hideaway. The city should put up some noise barriers which would help with the traffic noise.

I wouldnt recommend it. I got the pineapple vodka, it was horrible with little to no vodka. The waitress opened a tab for me when I didnt ask for one. They need more waitresses there, only had one that day for a extremely busy bar. I waited ten minutes for my drink. She would take your card as if you were paying and open a tab without telling you. As a result some left thinking that they paid.

Nice staff, good all round neighborhood bar and grill. There is a decent mix of people and usually something going on like music, trivia, or karaoke. Plus the food is great. If you live in Castle Rock and want a tasty veggie burger, you cant really beat theirs. Theyll make them however you like, but one way involves a puddle of hot sauce kept pooled above the patty by melted cheese.

I walked in and asked for a menu.I then waited over 30 minutes to get one and didnt even receive one. After getting my own, I waited another 45 mins for the bartender to ask what I wanted with only 4 people at the bar. I also watched 3 other families walk out because no one waited on them. Wait staff sucks!!!!! If your hungry dont go!!!!!!

Might be the only place downtown where the owner is the chief AND she knows what she is doing. Even the kids mac-&-cheese is real. It might be a bar, but you can take a family in and not feel out of place. Plus, the Thursday night Karaoke is amazing. Everyones a star.

This was the only place open later than 9pm for dinner from Palmer Lake to Castle Rock! We were starved and very satisfied with great service from Logan, good food and a great crowd playing trivia. Excellent food served hot, fresh and quick. Well be back!
