I want a do-over! This is literally our favorite place to eat in Silverthorne/Dillon area. Been coming for years and this last time wont stop us from coming back. Having said that, plan better for holiday weekends Arapahoe Cafe!! This happened again! You cant seem to handle holiday business. Today your usually awesome Bloody Marys were saturated with celery salt and was literally all I could taste. Your service which is normally fantastic with awesome people was ridiculously drawn out, while the people didnt change and are still awesome, it took more than 15 minutes before even getting our drink order taken. Your normally awesome food, Ill stress AWESOME, was definitely not and that took forever too! Poached eggs on the Benny? Nope call em hard boiled and barely a drizzle of hollandaise....ouch. Pancakes were extra crispy (thats not a compliment btw). The basted eggs we ordered were barely cooked on the top. Also the entire meal mustve been sitting for a while because it all came out luke warm. I totally understand getting busy, and totally want to forgive you. Im coming back to eat because I cant stay away and I want my do over. Im going to update my review with what I hope will be back to my 5 star interpretation of your wonderful place. Get your food back up to snuff, and staff your restaurant please!

Its an okay place, but I was very disappointed in the kids meals, and in the clarity of the ordering process. The kids meals only listed a main course, and I asked the waiter what came with them and he said "a side". So we ordered kids meals with sides and then were charged for one side, while told, after delivery that the other meal didnt come with a side. They eventually and spontaneously brought us another side of fries, I suppose because they could tell we werent particularly happy, but did not acknowledge the charge on the first side. Appreciated, but a little too late. Worse still, neither of my kids liked their meals. For my meal, the barbecue sandwich I had was good, as was the salad, but the coleslaw was terrible. Overall, I imagine we might have had a bit worse of an experience than many as the place was fairly well populated. Im only passing through, so we probably wont come back again. But, if I lived in the area, Im not sure I would come back either.

Put our name on the waiting list for an outside table that just needed to be cleared. The hostess promised our name was first on the list for outside. Not two minutes later, a couple came in after us and was seated there. As the hostess walked back inside, we asked her how they had gotten the table before us. She asked if we were on her list. Uh, what? I showed her our buzzer and she went inside, presumably to figure it out. Five minutes later, I walk in to see her folding napkins, clearly with no intention of coming back outside to make the situation right. Perhaps she suffers short term memory loss. Her excuse was that she had been there since 7:30am (it was around 1pm). Anyway you cut it, we were made to feel unwelcome and invisible. Were now happily enjoying the incredible food at the Mountain Lyon Cafe where we were immediately made to feel welcome.

Loved this cafe! Right off Lake Dillon, next to the Amphitheater and Dam. We stopped for lunch after a walk along Dillon Reservoir. Food was delicious! Burgers are everything the other reviewers say. The service was great! We were greeted and seated immediately. Our waiter was quick, friendly and patient as we helped our kids decide what to order - he even volunteered to bring a sample of the daily soup for our boys to try. We loved the log cabin feel, historic pictures of Dillon and the lovely flowers and umbrellas decorating the patio. The setting is gorgeous with the mountains and Lake Dillon. Prices were very reasonable - perfect for what we received, but less than I thought it would be based on the great location and delicious food! They had fun kids mats with activities for the kids and our boys are begging to come back for breakfast!

Awful food. Awful service. We were all highly disappointed. The eggs Benedict was by far one of the worst ones Ive ever had. The English muffin was soggy, the eggs were so cooked they were dry and the sauce was flavorless. Not to mention, there were numerous pieces of egg shell in all of our eggs. My wife and I absolutely love the bloody Marys, but we have never been impressed with the food. Also the service was horrible. We sat at our table for 20 minutes waiting to be served, finally a waitress came and took our food and drink order. After we received our food we didnt see our waitress until she was brought us the check. Then we noticed she charged us for the free coffee they provide while you wait for a table ???? When we addressed the problem, she was very rude and stormed off. Unfortunately, This will be the last time we go there.

My family has been eating dinner here for many years. Always great service and amazing food. I also really like getting drinks in the basement bar, Pub Down Under. Some friends and I were just there this past week, and spent a good hour talking with the bartender about all the stuff we all love. Skiing, Biking and Life. What an awesome guy! Im hoping he is there the next time, because he (and his girlfriend, the waitress) made our night. Its fun when you get to have great conversations with new people. Its also awesome that the entire place was closing down, with every other employee already gone home, and he wasnt trying to kick us out. The subtle hints flew over my head, due to my advanced state of inebriation... LOL! Luckily, my buddies had already called our cab. Good times!

Why is it missing the last, 5th star? The wait staff was slow. The food was excellent, Im saying top notch. I had a burger, top 10 best burger Ive had. My girlfriend had the meat loaf, also best meatloaf Ive tried, as good as mom makes it. My dad had the pan fried chicken, and it was also to die for! The food was definatly good enough for us to want to make it a tradition to come here every 4th of July from now on. The downside was, as I said earlier the staff. Rude, short answers and slow. I ordered a Caesar Salad before my meal, and it came with my meal. No biggie, but when I order a salad and tell the waiter Id like it before my meal and it arrives with my meal, its just a bit of a headache. 4 Stars

Short on size, and incredibly long on charm, this classic ski town diner doesnt look like its been remodeled since 1949. I hope it never is. The server answered my finicky sounding questions with candor, and more specific information than i could have thought to ask for! I never really thought I cared how competent a server was, but shes amazing. Blonde, curly hair. Didnt get her name. Menu was tremendous! Many less typical options including trout and grilled portobellos, and prepared by someone who knows and cares. Tried a bite of smoked chicken, it was very smoky, and the hardwood blend was wonderful! Well be back.
