Overpriced with terrible service. Pros: Beautiful view, pleasant staff, great games to play, some of the food tasted great. However, perhaps the reason they have several board games to play with is because it takes 2 hours for lunch in the middle of an afternoon. Cons: Everything else. My mom, sister and my 2 kids just went there for lunch. It was a 2 hour experience starting at 1:20pm. First, we ordered the bavarian pretzels, and mac and cheese for my son. The kids version of mac and cheese is spicy. Nowhere on the kids menu does it mention that the cheese for the mac and cheese is spicy. Then, the price, $6, is ridiculous because all we get for that is a small bowl of mac and cheese; no veggies or fruit or chips on the side. Anyway I asked for another mac and cheese with no spice, and the waitress told us they make the kids mac and cheese with beer cheese, which is only spicy. The waitress did replace our mac and cheese with free sliders. It took her 10 minutes to bring us silverware and ketchup; actually, we ended up getting our own ketchup. Our "Bavarian pretzels" arrived, about 40 minutes after we ordered them (as soon as we sat down). They are neither Bavarian nor pretzels; I know this because my mom is from Bavaria and we have traveled there many times. They reminded us all of Olive Garden breadsticks, but half the size and zero flavor. And $7 for 4 pieces of bread? Ridiculously overpriced. Then we had a lull. It took an HOUR for the main course to arrive, although we only ordered the main meal after we had been there for a half hour because our waitress did not check in with us. She was around, apologizing to at least 3 other tables for getting the order wrong, the kitchen being out of "pretzels" and firecrackers, and getting other parties bills wrong (we sat at the communal table). Then our food arrived; it was great. We had the root salad, fall salad, and jambalaya. The taste was great; there were no beets in the root salad, but thats ok. Again though, I paid $16 for the fall salad and it was the size of a bread plate but is advertised and priced as an entree salad. Our total bill was $80 for a 2 hour experience. I know this is a new place and perhaps the kitchen and our waitress were having a terrible day, but I expect more. For my money, Ill head elsewhere next time.

7/22/2017 First time to visit this place. They do allow dogs on the patio so one star for that. We were there at 11:50am and by 1:20pm our food still had not arrived. It took 20 minutes for the waitress to take our order and about 30 minutes after that I asked if she could check on our order as others around us had received their order. She stated that the pulled pork orders are much quicker but the chicken takes a long time to cook and I ordered chicken on my salad. We waited and waited and waited. They werent overly busy but it appeared she was the only one working the tables outside. The family of 2 adults and 2 small kids next to us waited for their food, received and casually ate their entire meal, the kids played afterward, used the bathroom and then left - all of this occurred while we waited and we still didnt have our meal.We needed to get back to Denver so we asked if we could get it to go and she said yes. We waited another 10 minutes and decided to pay for our drinks and leave. I gave her the cash and all she could say was " do you want me to check what time your order was put in?" Like that makes any difference!! No apology at all. I told her no and she asked if I wanted to speak to a manager and I declined because we had already been there an hour and a half. She asked again if she could show me what time my order went in. I dont know why that makes a difference when we had been there for an hour and a half! So, either she got the order in really late, didnt get the order in at all, did place the order but it was lost, or it really takes an hour to cook a chicken breast in Evergreen. Then in her most sarcastic voice she said "well ok then have a nice day". She never offered to check on our order while we were waiting and she obviously has no concept of time as she thought that our expectations were unrealistic to think that we should have received our food after being there an hour and half. Im sure it was just our bad luck to have this waitress but it completely ruined our lunch plans.

The IPA was solid, and well be back for that. Denver is a west coast vibe, so the the east coast communal seating arrangement does not fit at all, and we heard the same sentiments from 2 other parties within our reach. The space actually affords more patrons without the funky seating, as is. The food/menu needs work. My wife had this veg salad: Fire roasted beets, carrots, parsnips, leeks, grilled apple slices, goat cheese, and roasted pumpkinseeds.Tossed with apple cider vinaigrette and placed on a bed of baby arugula. 12) There was 2 ounces, no more, of roasted veggies on this massive bed of rocket salad. These vegetables need to make this salad. These vegetables are cheap, so why not showcase them for this salad that purports to do so? We didnt go to Guidos for pizza after this meal... My son had an adult-sized portion of mac and cheese, served in a porcelain boat, on top of a kitchen round. Thats it. It was the equivalent to what I make via any noodles, butter, cheese, milk and salt for a quarter. No garnish, no side, and just plain weak. While Im already jaded I thought Id point the fact that the menu states that there is a 4 dollar up charge from potato chips on the side for most meals, to real potato fries. That means, you get one potato at a cost of .25 cents, fried in oil to compliment your meal. No option for real fries, salad, etc., just potato chips or potato fried "wedges". Dan

I really wanted to like it! Ambiance was nice, building beautiful, the staff was friendly (a bit too busy though), but the food.... The food was not good at all. The burger: ordered medium rare and came as a thick, charred, ball, dry through the middle. Sent back, (which we never do) and got another thick, charred burger, but this one dripping pink and cool in the middle. The chips were over cooked and tasteless; hard and just not good at all. My pulled pork was decent, nothing really bad about it, but nothing great. I spent $4 extra over the included chips for wedges that were undercooked, soggy, and not flavorful at all. For 7 wedges. $4. Kids mac and cheese was a near grown up size portion in a ceramic boat on a giant ceramic plate. Fine for a 12 year old kid, but anyone under that, maybe consider a different plating. For $6 it had no side and didnt even include milk. The Mac was tasty though. The IPA was decent and drinkable as a weak session IPA, but how about some oomph? And the West coast style shared tables...I get it, its a thing, but not out here. Im sad this local business didnt meet our very loose requirements and I really hope they can improve. I hope they read this and take it as some solid suggestions not just dismiss it. I want them to stick around! Ill try again in a year.
