I always love Ironworks! It is totally a locals bar, hole in the wall, come as you are place! There are REAL people there, serving GREAT beer and food that you would expect at a local bar! We have been going since the 90s and before the trendy microbreweries were around...theyre old school! BTW, the green chili cheese fries ROCK!!! The people they have come to play are always playing classic songs and its a good time to be able to throw darts, play pinball and pool or watch whatever sporting event you want on the TVs. I feel that having a good attitude when you come in gets you a good attitude in return...as it should! Every time we have gone in there (since it came under the current ownership) the owner has been present and asked us about our time there. It was also awesome to see Ironworks represented at the Great American Beer Festival this year!

For the most part I have been happy with my service at ironworks, however since my last visit I dont think I will be coming back again. Our bartender had clearly been drinking too much and every time I tried to get a drink she was outside smoking or chatting. This wasnt a huge deal and I just brushed it off. However at the end of the night when we went to pay our tab there were two extra shots we didnt order added on our bill. I politely told the bartender and explained how we only had 4 not 6 and she accused us of lying. After a short argument she agreed to take off the extra drinks but told us next time your paying cash for each drink. Well jokes on her because we will definitely not be back there for drinks anytime soon.

My rating is more focused on the brewing aspect of the business... I have been here multiple times. The beer and the service at the bar usually leaves a lot to be desired. They seem to have quality control issues with the beer as it usually carries off flavors that seems to be related to some combination of dirty lines, uncontrolled fermentation temps, oxidation and the like. It would be great if they stepped up their game and tried to become a real part of the Denver beer scene. I am actually surprised that they still brew their own beer to tell you the truth. I will likely continue to stop by every once in a while to see if the quality improves.

I have been coming to Ironworks on and off for the past 12 years and have seen a couple owners come and go. I think it is in good hands now, and I like the direction its going. Given it is a little bit of a hole in the wall. But that character is where I find some appeal. Sometimes its more inviting and comfortable to tip back a couple beers at a non corporate establishment. They really do have great beer and its obvious that they have ramped up quality and a good variety of great brews. I tip my hat to the brewmasters that keep this place a neighborhood gem.

These people that are writing bad reviews are retards. This place has great micro brews AND bud/coors/mixed drinks for those who dont like craft. The staff is always a pleasure to see and they do a great job. The food is better than you might think too. Plus they have live music on certain nights. It doesnt have the flashy bells and whistles of most breweries but it also doesnt have the crowds or loud atmosphere. You wont find a better place to chill and have a great beer.

Ironworks has been a Lakewood staple for decades. Much like your favorite dive bar it is frequented by locals. The live music selection is fun and catchy but not so loud that you cant converse with your party. There are plenty of pool tables and dart boards. Seating is spread out so you can bring all your friends and fit comfortably. The beer selection is as wide spread as the seating so you should not have trouble finding your taste of choice.

My husband-to-be and I come here often. It is a great local place for beer and food. The bartenders are very friendly, attentive and are always checking in with you. The food is good at a decent price. Karaoke nights are a blast! They also have pool leagues here. Yes, they serve more than just beer. They do brew some of their own beer here and those are really tasty. I would recommend this bar to casual, calm, down-to-earth types of people.

This place is about good beer and good friends with typical bar food. Mike (the owner) always has my favorite IPA, Hopkilla, on the menu and the Broncos on the TVs. The staff is usually pretty quick to take your order and get you a new beer when you start running low. Yeah, the place could use some decorating help, but if it keeps the skinny-jean hipsters away, Im alright with that.

Just plain crap! This place sucks on so many levels. Crappy service, crappy location, and the bartenders are absolutely horrible. Neither me or anyone I know will ever step foot in this place again. And they have menus, yet never seem to be serving food, the kitchen just happens to always be closed. Which this crap hole needs to do, just close!!

People who are rating Ironworks beers poorly must not like IPAs or something, because theirs are among the best in the city, its a bit of a toss-up which is better, GCB or Ironworks, but I personally prefer the beer here. Foods fine, its bar food, nothing special, but tasty. Try the smothered Burrito or get a bunch of their $0.75 corn dogs.

Good Beer. Good People. I was there for the first time last week. I had the Kolsch and the session. Both were solid. In the hour I was there, the bartender was very attentive and friendly. The owner Mike came out and talked with us to make sure all was good. I will certainly go back and recommend this place to others.

So there I was being responsible and cabbed it to ironworks... And had a cab taking me back. They refused me and said I had to go because the old bartender was in a bad mood. I am sorry I dont drink and drive. I you guys do then good luck. I hope that works out for you. Its time to find a better place.

Great bar. Sometimes the service is shoddy, so you may have to ask your bartender a few times for a drink (depending on the bartender). Other than that, the bar is very home-y. Would recommend this place to anyonr that wants a drink closeby.

this is a hidden gem in the denver area. They make terrific beer. It angers me to see people ordering bud light when there is high quality tasty beer made on site. Free pool monday and wednesday nights. Food is surprisingly good too.
