This past Sunday, August 28, 2016, was my second time visiting Southern Hospitality for brunch. The first time was exemplary, so I did not hesitate to return. However, the second visit was far from how I remembered this place. I walked in around 2:00 p.m. - nearing the end of peak brunch time. I stood at the hostess stand (where there is a sign that says "Please Wait to be Seated") with my mom for a solid three minutes with a restaurant employee behind the stand who never acknowledged us or made eye contact ONCE. Another employee walked right by us at that same time and completely ignored us, as well. It is the most absurd "service" I have ever witnessed in my life. My mom and I left after being ignored and were walking outside by the patio to go someplace else, and the hostess stared us down, never asking why we were leaving or apologizing for her actions. There are other places to get good Southern food in Denver (Denver Biscuit Co., Sassafras, etc.) which makes it hard to justify returning to Southern Hospitality in the future.

Went in for a first visit for a late lunch. Our meal cost $50. and we just got sandwich platters. For that amount for lunch you would think we had Prime Rib dinners or Steaks. The BBQ pork had great flavor in the sauce but it was very dry. The BBQ beans were just Blahhhhh. They are better at Cracker Barrel at a fraction of the cost. We had macaroni & cheese and it was just bland. We were so looking forward to trying the corn bread and we even told the staff that it was a complete let down. He asked if we would like anything in exchange and when we said he would take it off the bill and he didnt even do that. ****** The one slight redeeming star of the day was the Banana Pudding. It was the bomb but not worth another trip. Very disappointing. I rarely take the time to leave a review unless the food and service were stellar but this was so much the opposite I was still fuming when I got home with the leftovers that were not worth warming up. Very big let down for $50.

This review is regarding the Southern Hospitality in Lone Trip. We were there on June 19, 2016. I ordered the chicken and biscuit gravy. First the chicken was dry and the biscuits were hard. It was also barely warm. My husband ordered the fried chicken. It was barely warm. Our order took forever to arrive. Our waiter said that the chicken took longer to fry. Well if that is true, why was our meals so lukewarm? They tasted like they had been sitting on a counter for a while. I asked for extra gravy, thinking I could soak the hard biscuits. The gravy was lukewarm. I wanted to ask if they had a microwave. You think they could have put the gravy in for 30 seconds. My son ordered the shredded pork breakfast burrito. No shredding involved. There was a chunk of pork inside the shell. Not happy and will not go back. very disappointed.

We went to Southern Hospitality on a Thursday evening. They werent real busy, so the service as quick. The service was fast and friendly. The drinks, salad, fried green tomatoes, and fries were all good. My wifes mac and cheese was bit watery, but tasted ok. . The disappointment was in the fried chicken. Southern Hospitality features their fried chicken as fresh cooked. The chicken I got was dried, overcooked, and likely recooked previously cooked chicken It was not good chicken at all, and something a restaurant of this caliber should not permit to be served. The manager was apologetic and took the chicken charge off our bill, and I suspect someone back in the kitchen got a spanking for serving that poor overcooked chicken. They took the best corrective action possible.

When I see chicken and waffles on a menu, I just about always get it, even if I also want everything else on the menu, which is what happened here. These chicken and waffles were quite possibly the best Ive had. I went with the 4pc of chicken. Chicken was cooked perfectly with a nice crispy skin outside and juicy chicken on the inside. The waffle was really good, but the star here was the chicken. Probably could have gotten away with 2pc of chicken vs 4 since I also got a single Memphis style spare rib. Its pretty awesome that you can order just a single rib. Rib was a good size, lots of flavor. Really enjoyed this place, and can see why this was one of the first places my friend took me to when I got to Denver. Get anything with the fried chicken, you wont be sorry.

Came in for a Friday lunch on a Sunday sixty degree day and was pleased with their handling of gluten-free menu items. Plenty of options for the Paleo carnivore. Smoked brisket was decent work plenty of smoked flavor but a little dry and needed salt which is easy to do at the table. The andoullie sausage on the other hand was smoky, juicy, buttery and playfully spicy. The pour of Jameson was generous but not cheap at ten bucks so it evened out. The cheesy grits were cheesy and coarse, right on, but also needed generous salting at the table. Once salted they were great. Service was on point and timely but it was odd to see the patio carved between so many other servers. This could bite em if tried at busier times. Definitely would come back.

First of all 12$ for bottomless mimosas or bloody Marys! Cant beat that, if youre planning on having more than one drink. Other than that, I couldnt say enough great things about this place. I got the chicken and waffles which was excellent (although definitely pick the tenders over the bone-in chicken -- the bone in was wayyy to dry) and my girlfriend got the pulled pork sandwhich, which was solid as well. We sat outside, but inside looked nice with tvs to watch Sunday football and a cool whiskey, speakeasy-esque type bar downstairs. Our waitress also didnt miss a beat on our orders and she was quick to keep the liquor flowing. Unfortunately, were from out of town, but if were ever in Lodo, well definitely go again.

holy shittt... this place is a must. we found this place traveling through Denver and WOW. our server Luna was very courteous and friendly she really made it feel like southern hospitality. but the reason i really wrote the review was because of the food. across the board magnificent flavor. i had the smoked kielbasa, andoullie sausage and some of the ribs. let me just say i am a man who takes BBQ seriously and enjoys it fully. WOW the flavor was not something i could put on this review. it was that good. if your reading this just stop reading this and go there already. this is real smoked bbq and it is good you can taste it in every bite. 5 stars.

Arrived at 9:39pm on a Wednesday night. Spoke to the bartender after paying for parking and he said, "due to volume" we are closing early. Note to self, when celebrating husbands birthday, and driving 30 minutes from an event, dont count on this place to be open after 9pm. Clearly on their google page it says they stay open until 11pm. #poorcustomerservice #falseadvertisement Update: Spoke to the Manager Henry, and explained our frustration during our most recent visit. Henry corrected the situation, and was really appreciative of us giving Southern Hospitality a second chance. Thank you to Henry, Luna and staff for making our experience amazing.
